Wade scores on Cleveland...again and again

It's hard to stop a train.
OK, that's basically a slogan for a heater/air conditioning company, but it fits these Bulls too.
Each Bulls starter scored at least 25 points as the Bulls devastated the Cleveland Cavaliers with a historic offensive output, 182-122 at the Gund Arena.
"Well, we kept them under 200 points," said Cleveland center Zydrunas Ilgauskas facetiously.
The Bulls offensive effiency was breathtaking at all positions. To wit:
Center Amare Stoudemire scored 38 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 6 blocks and 4 steals
Power forward Dirk Nowitzki also scored 38 points to go with 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 blocks
Small forward LeBron James registered a team-high 41 points, 8 assists, 4 blocks, and 5 steals
Shooting guard Colicky Boy added 40 points, 6 rebounds, 15 assists, and 17 steals.
Point guard Dwyane Wade registered 25 points, a game-high 22 assists and 2 blocks
"We didn't give up," said former Bull Kirk Hinrich, who scored 12 points and dished a team-high 12 assists. "But it looked like we did, didn't it?"
The Cavaliers (28-24) appeared to give up shortly after the first quarter, when they only trailed by 8. But by halftime, the deficit grew to 33. And it kept growing.
Former Bull Eric Piatkowski led all scorers with 42 points, including 8-of-12 three-pointers.
“There's no LeBron here in Cleveland anymore," said Piatkowski. "So why not me [taking shots]?"
The Bulls (48-3) set a new record for most assists by a team with 60, breaking the previous record of 53 set by Milwaukee on December 26, 1978.
The Bulls also shot .819 from the field, which broke the previous record of .707 for field goal percentage set by San Antonio on April 16, 1983.
“Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it,” quipped Bulls head coach Scott Skiles. “I didn't know those records, and we repeated them.”

The highest-scoring team in the league continues to roll.
Even when Colicky Boy fouled out with 2:27 left in the third quarter, the Bulls cruised to a 163-142 victory over the Washington Wizards at the United Center.
But leave it to head coach Scott Skiles to make the game sound like a loss.
"We played terrible defense," Skiles said. "We should not be letting teams score 142 points on us. We're going to have to work on that more because our defensive play was sloppy and unacceptable."
The offense, on the other hand, remained a picture of beauty. Dwyane Wade led the team with a career-high 49 points to go with 7 rebounds and 12 assists. The twelve assists also tied a career-high. It was Wade's ninth-straight double-double since joining the Bulls, a new career-high.
"This is a fun team to play on," said Wade. "My game matches up well with the makeup of this team."
Amare Stoudemire continued his rampage since joining the Bulls. He got 40 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks.
"Coach Skile's system is perfect for me," said Stoudemire. "I get a lot of opportunities here to show what I can do."
LeBron James added 38 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists, while Dirk Nowitzki had 16 points and 6 rebounds. Colicky Boy recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists before fouling out.
"We tried to keep up with them," said Wizards guard Larry Hughes, who scored a game-high 55 points. "But we had no answer defensively."
Gilbert Arenas added 29 points and 12 assists for the Wizards (24-30).
The Bulls (49-3) head to Charlotte to close out a potential undefeated February.
“We're on a mission,” said James. "Our goal is to win a championship...something no one on this team has experienced before. Whether we go undefeated in February is not a big deal."
this is a tad unrealistic

agreed. but do you have any suggestions to make it more realistic, w/o making the gameplay unrealistic (such as giving the CPU a REALLY unfair advantage)?

Wade scores, is fouled and sent to the line for one more of his 24 points
Boxscore: http://home.ripway.com/2005-6/338795/boxscores/20050226.php
As well as the Bulls are playing this season, they had only one undefeated month...same as the record-setting 72-10 Bulls team in 1995-1996.
But this year's Bulls separated themselves on Saturday from that 95-96 team by becoming the first team in NBA history to have two undefeated months in a season after dropping the Charlotte Bobcats 156-103 at the Charlotte Coliseum.
"That's nice, but that's just a footnote," said Bulls superstar LeBron James, who scored 26 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals. "Our main goal is to win a championship."
The Bulls (50-3) high-octane offense once again sped past the Bobcats (20-33), leading by 13 after the first quarter and padding their lead from there.
"It was a tall order for us to stop them, and we gave it our best shot," said Bobcats star Emeka Okafor, who scored 18 points and grabbed 9 boards. "But the final score was inevitable."
Colicky Boy led all scorers with 46 points, got 7 rebounds and 8 steals, and tied Dwyane Wade for game-high assist honors with 16. Wade also added 24 points.
Amare Stoudemire got his fourth double-double in his five games since joining the Bulls, recording 26 points, 10 boards, 4 assists, 5 blocks and 3 steals.
"I'm just feeling really comfortable in both this offense and this defense," said Stoudemire. "I'm developing all my skills here."
Dirk Nowitzki added 18 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals for the Bulls. Kareem Rush led the Bobcats with 30 points. Former Bull Chris Duhon did not play.
"It's not a surprise that they're doing well," said Duhon. "They have a world of talent on that team. They're the definition of a powerhouse team and it's going to take a perfect game for someone to beat them."
Nice dynasty bro. Good move on putting your minutes down. Good luck.
Bulls rocket past Houston
Tue, March 1, 2005
If this game is any indication, the Bulls could have two more undefeated months before the season ends.
Powered by Amare Stoudemire's career- and game-high 60 points, the Bulls breezed past Western Conference power Houston 186-128 at the United Center.
"I was feeling it tonight," said Stoudemire. "I've been telling you guys that I love this offense. Believe me yet?"
Stoudemire, who also got 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 blocks and 3 steals, dominated counterpart Yao Ming, who was limited to 18 points and 8 rebounds.
"We got strong play from the center position," said Bulls head coach Scott Skiles, stating the obvious. "When you play a team with a tough center, you need someone who can neutralize that. We were able to do that with only occasional double-teams."
LeBron James added 37 points, 6 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals for the Bulls (51-3). Dwyane Wade got his 12th consecutive double-double as a Bull, scoring 21 points and tying his career-high of 22 assists. Dirk Nowitzki got 22 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and a career-high 7 blocks. And Colicky Boy notched his 22nd triple-double with 44 points, 15 assists and 14 steals.
Tracy McGrady led the Rockets (33-24) with 54 points.
The Rockets only trailed the Bulls by one after the first quarter shootout (42-41). But the Bulls shifted into another gear, leading by 23 at halftime and kept on scoring.
"I have no idea," said McGrady when asked what it would take to beat the Bulls. "I seriously have no idea. Maybe we need to hire [former ice-skater] Tonya Harding to break all their kneecaps."

This was labeled as a possible preview of the NBA Finals. If that's the case, there won't be much drama come June.
The Bulls' intensity was evident early, holding a commanding 39-24 lead after one before finishing with an easy 155-105 win over the Western Conference leading San Antonio Spurs at the SBC Center.
"We love challenges," said Bulls forward LeBron James, who got 28 points, 7 rebounds, 14 assists (one shy of his career-high), 5 blocks (tying a career-high) and 4 steals. "We knew the Spurs were a top team and we wanted to compete."
The Bulls (52-3) defense was as impressive as their high-flying offense, limiting MVP candidate Tim Duncan to only 13 points.
"Give their defense credit," said Duncan, who also got 10 rebounds. "[Bulls center Amare] Stoudemire was a force...just like everyone else on their team."
Stoudemire led all scorers with 36 points, and added 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks.
"I'm proud of my assist totals," said Stoudemire. "I'm not a one-dimensional player. I want to be an all-around player...and my teammates inspire me everyday to do that because they do that too."
Dirk Nowitzki recorded his first double-double as a Bull, getting 26 points and 11 rebounds to go with 4 assists and 5 blocks. Dwyane Wade added 26 points, 5 rebounds and a game-high 17 assists while Colicky Boy got 33 points, a game-high 17 rebounds, 9 assists and 9 steals.
"As much hype as they get about their scoring, the thing that impresses me the most about their team is their passing," said Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. "They got 50 assists tonight and they are on their way to breaking the assists record in the NBA. That is an unselfish bunch, which is very unusual on a team with that many stars."
Manu Ginobili had 22 points, and Tony Parker led the Spurs (36-22) with 26 points but also committed a career-high 10 turnovers.
"Their defense was tremendous," Parker said. "I've never faced anything like it."
Parker should get used to it and try to solve it soon...he might face it at least four more times in June.
I dont see the picture. Good job on your dynasty!

Wade flies through the air with the greatest of ease against Milwaukee
Boxscore: http://home.ripway.com/2005-6/338795/boxscores/20050305.php
After impressive wins against Western Conference leaders Houston and San Antonio, the Bulls came out flat against Eastern Conference cellar-dweller Milwaukee.
The Bulls actually trailed after the first quarter 36-34 and only led by two at halftime (72-70). The Bulls eventually pulled away with a 159-131 win over the Bucks at the Bradley Center.
"I thought we were sloppy tonight," said Bulls head coach Scott Skiles. "We had 11 turnovers in the first half. Our defense was lax, and we generally played like we didn't want to win."
Due to the turnovers, the Bulls (53-3) barely led at halftime despite shooting .707. It didn't help that Amare Stoudemire suffered a back injury with 11 seconds to play in the first quarter and was done for the night. Stoudemire had 12 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists before leaving the game.
In the third quarter, Dwyane Wade scored 20 and Colicky Boy added 18 to help the Bulls pull away. James added 12 in the fourth quarter, which was needed because Dirk Nowitzki fouled out with 7:42 left in the game.
"Milwaukee played a good game tonight," said Wade, who finished with 27 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and a game-high 17 assists. "We played short-handed and had to scrap for this win."
Did the fact that playing 2 road games in 2 nights take a toll on the players?
"No," said Wade flatly.
Colicky Boy led the Bulls with 42 points and 7 rebounds to go with 8 assists and 12 steals. LeBron James had 24 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 blocks and 2 steals. Dirk Nowitzki added 20 points.
The Bulls bench contributed with 34 points, outscoring Milwaukee's reserves by 11 points.
"Our bench played well tonight," said LeBron James. "Everybody disses them, but they can play."
Michael Redd's 49 points led all scorers as Milwaukee fell to 13-44.
The Bulls clinched a playoff spot with the win.
"That was a foregone conclusion," said Nowitzki. "Our goal wasn't to make the playoffs but to win a championship, so [clinching a playoff spot] isn't worth celebrating."
Interesting how far this team has come since the start of the season, when the team came off a 23-59 record last year and simply making the playoffs was a big goal.
