SF Viktor Khryapa

The preseason

Coach Kevin Pritchard is mostly putting the practice time on shooting and defense. Lots of players get good stats in the camp.

Preseason transactions

Portland Trail Blazers release Viktor Khryapa.

Why? Beacause he is useless to us, we don't need Viktor. We have other players to step up and also we need to clear up some roster place for the new player.

Image

Portland Trail Blazers sign Jelany McCoy.

Why? The defence is the most important thing. We need to protect our basket and Jelani is the best man in the free agent market for us. Jelani is signed for 1 year.

Image

Portland Trail Blazers trade Shareed Abdur Rahim for Jalen Rose.

WHy? Shareef didn't show good leaderhip and game in the preseason games. We are sure that Jalen Rose is the better man for this position. Also Jalen Rose has a decent 3 year contract for 14.49M.

Image

I think I need to say now, that Portland's cap room is -38.19M and we have 1 roster space.

I founded that forum and that thread today so I have played 7 games. I'm at 2-5 mark. Now I'm going to bring you all games highlights, pictures, stories etc.

Keep on touch!

Sorry, if my english is not very good, I'm from Europe, Estonia.

Portland fall to the runnin' Phoenix 106-113

Game started with lots of hope in both sides. But suddenly Portland was down by 5. We closed the cap when the quarter end. Amare Stoudemire showed some game. Too bad the blazers lose to phoenix. They really need to thank Amare and Steve.

Here are some stats from tonight's game:

Theo Ratliff 6pts, 15 rebs, 8 blks, 6 assists.
Zach Randolph 35pts, 3rebs, 7assists.
Jalen Rose 20pts, 4rebs, 3-pointers 0 from 7.
Damon Stoudamire 8pts, 5assists.
Derek Anderson 8pts, 3rebs, 3assists.
Jelani McCoy 9pts, 7rebs.
Joel Przybilla 5pts, 10rebs.

Amare Stoudemire 27pts, 16rebs, 5blks.
Steve Nash 20pts, 4assists.
Quentin Richardson 19pts.

Coach giving some tips, how to close the cap
Jalen Rose showed the coach, that the trade was very useful

Portland Trail Blazers release Viktor Khryapa.

Why? Beacause he is useless to us,

 Wow what praise for a 1st round pick...

Good Trade For jalen, your gonna be stuck with his big ass contract for a while but it will work out if you can get rid of Derek Anderson.

Wed Jun 29, 2005 2:48 pm

Yeah I know, but I had better Sf-s.

I was thinking of trading Derek Anderson..

Hey, why are my pictures not shown?

Portland lead almost all game long but still lose to NJ Nets 106-111

Randolph 26pts, 12 rebs
Ratliff 6pts, 11rebs, 3blks
Rose 28pts
Van Exel 10pts, 4 assists
Miles 16pts, 4 assists
McCoy 7pts, 8rebs
Przybilla 4pts, 8rebs, 3blks

Krstic 12pts, 14rebs, 6blks(player of the game)
Jefferson 25pts
Carter 28pts, 4asssists
Kidd 18pts, 5 TO
Buford 11pts, 4rebs

Damn, I thought I had this game.
First quarter started with running, New Jersey grab a 9-2 lead. Portland fighting back desperatly. Thanks to Jalen Rose 11pts in the first quarter, I narrow the cap to 7.
Second quarter was owned by Portland. Darius Miles started the quarter with 10 consecutive points, which also meant 10-0 run for Portland.
Third quarter was still owned by Portland. This time Zach Randolph showed some real pro game.
Fourth quarter was a total disaster for Portland beacause they lead by 12 pts when there was 5 mins left. Then Vince Carter got hot and lead his team back to the game. Thanks to Jason Kidd's 2 three pointers in the final minute, the New Jersey Nets win this one.

Only onw picture from that game
Nick Van Exel taking it over (the last basket by portland)

Portland listen Rip32 and trade away Derek Anderson

Yeah, that is true. Portland press just announced that Derek Anderson is traded away along Sebastien Telfair for Mike Miller and Brian Cardinal.

Portland aqcuires Mike Miller Image

and Brian Cardinal Image from Memphis.

Why? We need shooting power. And oh yeah, Brian Cardinal and Mike Miller gonna bring it to us. We are hoping better results from the games and good team ball.

Another transaction in the same day, Portland signs PG Chris Whitney

Image

Why? Beacause we traded away Sebastien Telfair so we're gonna need Pg now.

Hmm... You don't seem to have gotten that many replies, but I gotta tell you, you're doing a pretty good job man. It looks like the acquisition of Rose and Miller are also doing quite well for you too. The Blazers were once one of my favourite teams, but they screwed up on a couple of things. You're turning the so called "Jail Blazers" around quite nicely. (Y)

Thanks man. I'm trying to Bring the Portland Trail Blazers to the play-offs.
My trades have really worked out. Rose and Miller and Cardinal are really great, however Zach is the best man in the block;)

Jail Blazers = Champions Blazers

Scouting

The Portland Trail Blazers sent their scouts out to Europe to scout Dia Tjallingii. Dia is a 7'4 center , who weights 257 lbs and is only 18 years old. The scout focused on his defense and saw that Dia has such grades:

Steal: D-
Block: D-
Offensive rebounding: C
Defensive rebounding: C
Defensive awareness: C
Speed: C
He has average potential.
Dia is projected in the late 2nd round.
We are thinking of drafting him in the 2nd round.

Now the scouts are sent off to check his offensive skills.
Also we are scouting on a shooting guard.
Vut you will get information about him later.

The Blazers defeat the defending champs and head up to 6-7 record.

Damn, I forgot to save the player stats. Well, I still got the best scorers, rebounders etc.

Mike MILLER had hot hand in this game. He started his game with 3 straight made three pointers.Usually the game was like that:
1) Damon Stoudamire calls a pick and roll
2) Theo Ratliff or Zach Randolph(or some1 from bench) makes a block for Damon Stoudamire.
3) Damon drives in.
4) The kick-out to Mike Miller
5) Mike is all alone and hits the three pointer.

SHaq had 2 points in the first half, don't know what happened then, he started to hit all his shots and free throws also!!

Too bad that Trail Blazers lose, but still they are in very good play-off position.

Fri Jul 01, 2005 9:02 pm

Another scouting...

Portland scouts were sent off again to check Dia Tjallingii's offensive skills.
They came back and realised that he is good at inside scoring and needs to work on his passing.
The skills are:

Filed Golas: D-
Three pointers: E
Free throws: C-
Inside Scoring: B-
Dunk: C
Pass: E
Offensive awareness: D-

And we scoutes on one SG as we promised, both, his athletic and defensive skills. Vince Hoglund is 6'3 and weights 207lbs. Vince is 19 years old.

The skills are:

Field goals: C-
Three pointers: C
Free throws: C-
Inside Scoring: D-
Dunk: C-
Steal: D-
Pass: D
Offensive awareness: D
Defensive awareness: D
Dribble: B-
Speed: B
Quick: A-
Jump: A-
Strenght: D-
Hardiness: C
Stamina: C

We find him very attractive player, but we're still checking outhers. This time we are scouting a little older guy, who is over 20 years old. Scourting report comes later.[/b]

Fri Jul 01, 2005 9:06 pm

This looks like another good dynasty. Sorry, I havent checked it out but keep up the good work!

Fri Jul 01, 2005 9:25 pm

Fri Jul 01, 2005 10:09 pm
