Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I usually just ignore this thread but I must say I hate it when people try to make you believe something you just don't.
Deny the wisdom of his words? Please man...that's just going down the wrong path.

I'm trying to be respectful of everyone's beliefs, while sharing mine. And I put "IMO" after the statement about the wisdom of many of Jesus's words...
Thu Jun 23, 2005 2:17 am
But you said you can't deny them, so in your opinion I shouldn't deny the wisdom of his words. Doesn't matter if you did, or didn't add the IMO, fact remains YOU think I should not deny the wisdom of his words.
That sounds like you're trying to persuade me to believe his words were filled with wisdom. I don't like that.

Ok, good point. From now I'll try to keep this thread "Bible Basics" and not "bullsfan's beliefs."

All I ask is for mutual respect here.

Lol, who (and why do you) give/s a fuck if he tries to persuade you.
Thu Jun 23, 2005 2:50 am
Jae- why do you mock others' beliefs? If you feel I'm wrong, then it'd be better for everyone if you gave some reasons instead of sarcasm. You may not believe that Jesus was anything more than just another man who lived and died a long time ago, but the wisdom of many of his words cannot be denied, IMO...

mock my beliefs if it makes you feel any better. In case you didn't notice, I did compliment the thread. And no it wouldn't be better for everyone if I gave reasons instead of sarcasm, people stopped giving a shit about what I had to say long ago so sarcasm keeps me entertained sufficiently.

no way, never.

That's true, thanks.

Not me, man.

Nobody has to give a fuck? I didn't ask you or your little niece to give a rats ass. Where did I bring up if you did, or didn't give a fuck?
I don't care if he does try, I just don't like it. He's trying to remain neutral, yet trying to persuade me, that's a contradiction. Oh oh's, big words, I must've lost you at "fuck".
Bullsfan, keep up the thread, just try not to bestow your beliefs upon others.

i think it's the case of the audience he wants to have, if anyone here is not the targetted audience then let it be.....if you are the targetted consumer, then be happy, someone is giving away a lot of effort helping you out

Sounds to me that you do give a fuck, but whatever.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I'm going to be away until Monday, so here's one last parable of Jesus to leave you with until then:
Matthew 18:12-14
If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any...should be lost.

Hmmm, and what if the 99 unsupervised sheep wander off as well... sometimes life is more comlicated than simple 'right-wrong' choices... Only when we learn to understand 'gray'. can we decide between 'black' and 'white'...

^^^atleast the 99 are not alone....imagine the loneliness that one sheep felt....sometimes you have to have a more wider opened mind to percieve this good parables
