The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired current GM Jim Paxson and have appointed new General Manager Zmac Mousoulis,
who will also be Asst Coach, behind Mike Brown

Heres the press conference:
"We would like to announce the new General Manager of the Cleveland organization, Zmac Mousoulis." Dan Gilbert.

Zmac: "Firstly Id like to thank Owners and Friends Dan Gilbert and Usher Raymond who were looking for some help to
turn this franchise around and decided on hiring me.
Im not going to be a quite manager, I will have my PC close and will be giving all Cavs fans updates as the season progresses.

Dan and Usher had some more news to tell you but they thought they would let me do it.
They have decided that I will also be there right next to Coach Mike Brown on the sidelines as Asst Coach. Also Hank Egan,
former GS Warriors and SA Spurs Asst Coach will be our other Asst Coach, giving our coaching staff a very good balance.

I am looking forward to the being the GM and Asst Coach of the Cavs and I assure you that we will be a much better
team than previous years."

The NBA has released the format of the season.

Today we held our first pre-season team meeting. We had previously introduced and now we were getting ready for pre-season workouts.
I am looking forward to see how rookie Anderson Varejao fairs against his teammates.
During the meeting we discussed my plans for the pre-season, which are:
*To make some trades.
*To improve our shooting, especially long rang as we lack in that area.
*5 on 5 workouts with mixed line-ups, with subs and everything.
*A full game right before the beginning of the season, with our whole roster being divided into 2 teams just like our workouts, except it will be serious and fans can come to watch.

As I said above, I am planning on making some trades but I can guarantee you that we will not trade our Franchise player LeBron.
We cannot ask him to perform any better on the court, or be a better person off the court. He is such a great guy to everyone and is definitely the team leader.
I spoke to every player individually and they all said that LeBron should be captain, so thats what I have done, made him captain.

Hey this is Jeff McInnis aka J-Mac aka McNasty.
Wassup ya'll? I borrowed Zizzle's(Zmac's) laptop and decided to hit you up on my new news.
Well this new GM, me and him are like this....you cant see me but I crossed my fingers.....ANYWAY, we are good buds. He is great, he aint some old dude who never talks and only tells us that we have been traded. Naw, he aint like dat. Yesterday we had that team meeting and he was telling us his plans and all that shit. It sounds good man, it really does, Im so glad we got him as our GM. Anyway afterwards he told me he liked the way I play, unselfish and a leader on the court, so he gave me co-captain behind Bron. He said I could tell you guys.
Yeh but thats not all my news. I thought since Im growing into a leader and changing and shit, Ive decided to drop And1 as my shoes and go with Nike. No disrespect to the And1 guys but my first kicks were nikes so I had to be with them.
Im gonna be wearing those Huarache 2k5s, they some sweet shoes.
Anyway, I'll catch ya'll later. Peace.

Hey Cavs Fans,
This morning I had some news from last night so I called a press conference.

This is what happened at the conference:

"Welcome everyone. I'll make it quick. Last night I sent an email to every GM in the League saying that a certain player was up for trade. I quickly got offers, non that I liked. But then came along Milwaukee who offered someone we need.
We got on the phones and after a short time we figured out a deal.
Drew Gooden, Eric Snow and Desagana Diop in exchange for Michael Redd and Calvin Booth.
I was extatic from the trade getting much needed outside shooting in Michael Redd. I announced it to the team and they understood. Drew started packing his bags, but didnt look that happy, putting on a fake smile.
I decided to call back Milwaukee, no not to cancel the deal, but to offer, Jiri Welsch, Robert Traylor and Ira Newble for Drew, Dan Gadzuric and Anthony Goldwire. They thought about it, and accepted!
I quickly called Drew's cell and he couldnt believe it!
This trade really benefited us and I dont think we lost much of what we needed. As for Milwaukee they told us they wanted to get rid of Redd because he wanted to leave back to his hometown, Cleveland."

So this was the trade(s):

THE SECOND DEAL WAS:

This is only the beginning of whats to come....

I just got here about 4 hours ago. I love Cleveland, its my home town. I cant wait to play a game and I heard that the team is gonna change a bit until then, but Im not exactly sure.
Anyway Ive got to get going, we got training now then im meeting my family back at my crib. In case ya didnt know, because this is my home town and all I own a crib here, might show ya later. My family have lived here all their life so when I was in Milwaukee I didnt see them much. Now its driving distance.

Today was basically our first real training. We mainly did some 1on1s and some drills.
We did some 5on5s with these and some other matchups to see how each player would fair.
Ilgauskas VS Dan Gadzuric
Gooden VS Varejao
LeBron VS Jackson
Redd VS Pavlovic
McInnis VS Wagner.

There were some good unexpected efforts.
-Ilgauskas has always been a good offensive player, but his defense stood out most against Gadz, but Gadz was all of the boards.
-Surprisingly Gooden v AV was tight. They both have offensive skills and very good rebounding skills. Gooden slightly edged him of offense but AV blocked and contested the shots fairly well.
-Jackson had the toughest matchup. It was hard for him on defense, but on offense he proved quite a nice long range shooter.
-Redd as always is a fantastic perimeter player and Pavlovic is a fairly weak perimeter defender, but Pavs offense was quite good.
-Wagner has had trouble with injuries for 2 years straight now, but if you watched him against J-Mac, no way would you think it. They both lit it up on offense but J-Mac had the slight edge on defence.

This was a good effort from all players, even the ones I didnt mention. Just cause I didnt mention them here doesnt mean they wont play or anything like that, I just wanted to do the Starting 5 matchups.

After we did the 5on5s we did some shooting drills. We think that if the players keep it up, they will all become better shots. LeBron and Jeff were taking it very seriously and they look as if they will become quite good shooters making their game even better.

Hey Fans,
Im sure you all know by now, its been all over TV. Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Drew Gooden have spoken publicly about wanting to be trade from Cleveland, their reason, because of the way I was running the team. I dont know what to say, if thats the attitude they are gonna have, then I guess we cant keep them much longer.
It shouldnt be too hard to trade them. They are both high caliber players and most people would want them.
As for the rest of the team, Redd is fitting in fine and we are coming close to the start of the season, but before that we have to keep our minds on training and the inner team practice game for the fans, which should be great.

Anyway I'll catch up soon.

"Goodmorning everyone, I have called this press conference to announce, as you probably already know, the trade of Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Drew Gooden. What you dont know is that we have traded them to New Jersey.
UPROAR OF THE PRESS
"Quiet, Ssshh. Thankyou. Okay, we decided to give them Dan Gadzuric, who looked like he was going to be good this season, but we had to sweeten the deal for NJ.
In return we got Ron Mercer, rookie Nenad Krstic and 5 time all-star Vince Carter.
Your probably thinking, 'Whats the lineup gonna be with Bron, VC and Redd?' Simple. I thought about and talked to him first but I decided to trade Mike Redd. He didnt mind as much as I thought.
He was glad that going to Detroit wasnt that far away. Yes thats right Detroit. We exchanged Mike Redd, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Calv Booth for 3 time Defensive Player of the Year Big Ben Wallace, Darko Milicic and Harace Jenkins. This is a bit much to take in but thats how things have to go sometimes.
I am very tired and I wont be taking any questions. We will be holding another conference when Big Ben and Vince arrive which will be in 2 days."

Hey Fans this is King James,
This is my first time hitting you guys up. Ive been real busy, from training to helping with my new shoes to getting know all the new people around the organization.
Mike Redd was a great guy, its pretty sad seeing him go so soon, but on the upside we have 3 All-Stars now. This season is gonna be great man, we should make the playoffs maybe even be a good chance getting through some rounds. I cant wait, this upcoming week is gonna be good.
We have VC coming hopefully tonight as well as Big Ben in the morning, hes so happy, his girlfriend lives out here in Cleveland. We got the inner team game coming up which all fans should come to see and then the opener vs Indiana.
I gots to go. Later.

'Bron.

Hey Fans,
Its been a couple of days, ive been real busy welcoming our new
players and getting things organised, but every is good now.
Tonight is the Cavs Fan Game which you should all get down to
and see all the players including the new ones in Cavs jerseys
playing like its a real game.
Tommorow is the season opener at home against the Indiana Pacers,
which will be a tough game especially with the new players and the old
players not being used to each other yet.
The team has come a long way since last season, lots of people have come
and gone, but I think if you compare this years team to lasts, we are much
stronger in every aspect. It should be a great season.

Until next time,
Zmac.

The Fans game has just finished and it was a great turnout.
We got alot of support from the fans selling almost every seat in the stadium.
Ben Wallace and Vince Carter suited up in Cavs jerseys for the first time and the fans could get enough of them.
It was the Wine vs the Gold.

Wine
C B. Wallace
PF D. Milicic
SF R. Mercer
SG V. Carter
PG H. Jenkins

Gold
C N. Krstic
PF A. Varejao
SF L. James
SG D. Wagner
PG J.McInnis

No one even noticed the scores or the stats, every was all smiles.
In the end the scores were quite close and Every one of the 10 players that played were in double digit scoring, including some outstanding efforts from Lebrom with 45 and Vince with 43.

Image
Vince stuffing 2 of his 43 points.

Image
Big Ben with the nice put-back.

Image
LeBron also contributed with 10 rebounds and the beautiful up-and-under slam.

There were also some outstanding games by co-captain Jeff McInnis who got 20 points and 7 assists, also Ron Mercer scored 23 and 7 boards and Darko got an unusual 20 points and game-high 18 boards.

Image
Darko with one of his 5 put-backs.

J-Mac with the slam in Darkos face.

In the end the Wine, leaded by Vince and Big Ben won the game by 7.

Please give the gif images a few seconds.

Opening night couldnt have gone any better.
The first quarter was all about defence. And no player stood out from the rest, as us Cavs took a 3 point 23-20 lead into the break.
J-Mac with the Dunk

It only took Vince and LeBron a couple of minutes before they took over the third scoring 14 a piece, getting 28 out of 31 Cavs 2nd quarter points. As the the guys went into the half with a 11 point lead.
Jermaine didnt have much to brag about, only getting 7 points and 5 rebounds in the first half.
Reggie was playing good scoring 12 points and Tinleys chipped in with 11.
Lebron with the sweet dish to Wallace

The third quarter was almost even in scoring, as Ben Wallace grabbed a huge 10 rebounds for the quarter while Lebron, Vince and Jeff continued to carry the scoring load.
Jermaine gets the bucket and the foul

The last quarter saw us Cavs come out with a 12 point lead, but after some inspiring play from Tinsley and Jackson came off the bench with 15 points to let Artest who had an off night with 9 points sit on the bench.
It was our guys by 2 with 17.4 seconds left until Jamaal Tinsley hit a 3 right in Jeff McInnis' face with 14.4 seconds left.
Tinsley with the 3

We had a chance to take the lead and the win. Coach Mike Brown set up a pick and roll play which you can view here:
Jeff feeds LeBron to the clutch 3

Jeff rolled around the pick from Big Ben then drove and found Lebron who took 2 steps and hit the open 3 to give the 2 point Cavs lead with 8.1 seconds left.
Indiana had the chance to tie but it was over after Jermaine missed a rushed 7 foot hookshot, while Lebron got the game securing rebound.
He hit 2 cluth free-throws to secure the game as we went on to win 116-112.

Big games from:

LeBron: 39 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds on 17-30 shooting.
Vince: 27 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds on 11-20 shooting.
Big Ben: 22 rebounds and 9 points.
J-Mac: 19 Points and 9 assists.

While for the Pacers:

Tinsley: 20 points and 6 assists.
Jermaine: 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Dale Davis: 15 Points and 12 rebounds.
Reggie: 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

Good win by the guys, cant wait for next game against the Heat.

Hey Fans!
That win today vs the pacers was great, I never expected us to start well with our new team.
Just after our game against Indiana, I got a message on my PDA with an offer from another NBA team.
The deal was 3 for 3 players.
At first I thought, 'No way', we have done enough trades already and I dont want to swap the team anymore.
But after a little bit of thinking I thought, Im gonna take a look at this and pretend I hadnt done any trades at all.
I looked into it and I saw that we could really benefit from this trade.
Thats when I rang up the Phoenix Suns and told them I accept their offer of:

CAVS GIVE:
ImageImageImage

SUNS GIVE:
ImageImageImage

I was worried about our C position as I did not want to play Amare there, so I decided to sign Keon Clark to a 6.67mil contract for 2 years to fill the void at the center position. How do I know he will be good enough for it you ask?
We did some workouts with him a few days back and some other free agents and he was in very good form, but we couldnt sign him then because of our salary.

I was also a bit worried that our game tommorow against the Heat would have us playing undermanned because of the trade, but Commish David Stern said it would be fine.
I have spoken to the three guys who are going to meet us at Miami.
The game will be tough as the guys havent met or played with the rest of the team but I hope we will make a contest out of it.

Its gonna be a great day tommorow and I hope you watch the game.
