Hey Guys

Well its only a day away now till we play our first game of the season, i am very excited and am hoping we get of to a promising start.

Today we just had a final team practice before our first game, which is at home against the young and promising Chicago Bulls side. I am hoping we get a healthy crowd there to welcome Kenyon to LA and that will help us get over the line. So the team practice was all about this upcoming game and in the next post i will describe what we covered in training, after training fans were lining up for Kenyons autograph and he didnt seem to mind the attention at all.

Unfortunatly the schedual has changed as i had the wrong rosters in the first place i had the injured instead of uninjured so here is the first schedual now-
Image
AS you can see our first game is against the Bobcats instead of the Bulls. Im not going to write a new preview for the bobcat game im just about to play it, but ill do a nice review of the game

First game still at the Staples Center so theres no excuse for everyone not to be there to support the Clips in their season opener!

The Stapels Center was buzzing with excitment tonight to help open their teams season against the new Charlotte Bobcats.

The player introductions were massive, when newley aquired Kenyon Martin was introduced the crowd went insane and start shouten Kmart, Kmart in celebration
Image

Then the business started-

1st quarter was a tough close battle and you could see there was a lot of butterflies flying around the players stomach's as it was their first hitout for the season for the Clippers.
The bobcats had a great first quarter by Emeka Okafor who really did not be intimidated by Martin.
26-23 at the quarter break to the Bobcats.
Image
Okafor was very good in first quarter with 10 tough points

2nd Quarter-
Another tough close quarter, Kenyon really starting to show his great game he has by finishing with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Livingston got big cheers when he came on and finished the quarter with 3 dimes. Little Brevin Knight was a theif in the first half and ended up with 5 steals.
Bobcats just infront at the halftime break 51-50

Image
Kenyon with a signature dunk that got the crowd going in the second.

3rd Quarter -
The Clippers came out of the locker rooms a different team as they dominated the first 5 minutes of the second half, with great efforts from Wilcox and Kenyon also Corey Maggete started to find his feet.
But the unpredictable Bobcats came storming back on Keith Bogons, he was unstoppable from downtown and got them back into the quarter by himself.
Clippers hit the lead at the 3 quarter break 84-78
Image
Corey Maggette started a great run for the Clippers

4th quarter-
Keith Bogans continued his hot streak from downtown and shocked the home crowd with an incredible last quarter to send it to overtime!
Both teams locked at 106-106

OT-
The crowd still in a bit of shock after being sent to overtime ws treated to a tough arm wrestle in overtime. All the great performances from the clippers were shoved out the door when Keith Bogans put the dagger into Clipper hearts when he hit a three with 1.2 seconds to go to give them the lead 124-121.
Image
Clippers take a time out with 1.2 seconds to go.

The clippers couldnt find Jaric who was in there ready to try tie it up so they got it to Kittles and it rimmed out. It was a heart breaking loss to the Clippers and the fans went home without the expected win!

Bogans and Okafor won the game for bobcats

Press Conference after the game-

Image

Image
ESPN-
What were you pleased about and not so pleased about the game tonight?
Mike- We lost to the Bobcats! 2nd game they played in their whole organization career and we lost to them! Positives we can take out is i think Kmart was fantastic, Shaun Livingston showed alot of promise, Chris Wilcox was great, Corey Maggete did a great job also, None of that matters as we came out of the game the losing team.

Image
ESPN- Corey, What did you think about Bogans lighting it up from downtown?
Corey- Man, it was insane, he carried his team tonight theres no doubt about it they deserved the win tonight, new or not they played very well and we shouldnt have any excuses, We will be ok, its only the first game.
22 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists

Image
ESPN-
How did it feel to finally play an NBA Game?
Livingston- Man i aint going to lie, it was nerve racking, the place was going off when Kenyon was introduced and luckily coach didnt put me in till 2nd quarter to help me calm down, im upset we lost but i think we will get a lot better very soon, we only started playing all together a few days ago after the kenyon trade!
12 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals

Image
ESPN-
What do you want to say to the Clipper fans after tonights loss?
Kenyon- Come on man, you know it was a shame we loss but Bobcats played extremely well, we will come together as a unit soon! Hopefully give us a few games and we will be good as a 5 year team, we all like each other theres no fights or anything at the moment we just got to gel on the court thats all, Clip fans dont worry we will come back strong.

Hey Clip fans,
Well didnt turn out to be a great start last night against the bobcats but let me tell you they played great basketball.
Although the boys were a bit dissapointed in the rooms after the game i have to say they were all preety confident that it was a bad game they played but it was the first game and they have time to come back strong against the Warriors in Golden State next.
October is over- so here is the November Schedual

Image

Also here is the October Nba news that happened around the league.
Image

So im about to hop onto the team plane now to Golden State territory now.
Clip fans dont lose faith!

Preview

Golden State Warriors playing host to the La Clippers

This is the Warriors first game of the season and it's at their home so they will be very keen to show the supporters this year is going to be a good one for them.

We know they have one of the best backcourts in the league- Baron Davis and Jason Richardson, they produce one of the most exciting duos to watch in the game and the Clippers guards are going to find it hard to keep them at bay.

The front court is where the Clippers should have more success, Kenyon Martin and Chris Wilcox really showed promise together in the first game of the season. The goal for the Clips will be getting it inside and letting them work against Troy Murphey and Adonis Foyle.

Prediction would be the Warriors should take this one, Clippers still getting to know how to play together but you never know what can happen in the NBA.

you have some great angles Mousey... just try to keep it nice and 'tight' It's tough to sit through a whole read when it gets pretty lengthy... if it does get lengthy, divide it up with lots of pics... Kenyon Martin as a clipper...that obviously rocks!

The story of the second half was Kmarts injury in the closing minutes of the 3rd quarter! Murphey pushed Kenyon as he went up for a rebound and landed awkwardly. He is in the Golden State hospital and early signs say he should be out for 10 days due to a sore toe.

Good win in overtime. Nice job picking up K-Mart as well. Hopefully you can cut down on the high scoring games though, maybe try adjusting your sliders or adjust the style of play if your running and gunning.

Tough loss against the Bobcats, man,I hate it when that happens, that buzzer beating shoot bouncing of the rim :x

Your dynasty is awsome, you have my complete attention. From now on I'll be a regular visitor here.

To bad you lost K-Mart right at the start of the season.Just on little error I noticed, you wrote he got injured in the 3.,but the picture says 4. quarter. That is my only complaint.

Keep up the GREAT work, your effort alone makes this dynasty great, plus it is really interesting :)

PREVIEW

Washington Wizards playing host to the La Clippers

La Clipper Gm pre game notes-
La Clippers 1-1 record
Now we had a great win in Golden State the other day but we are looking to try string two wins in a row. It isnt going to be easy as Kenyon is still recovering from a sore toe and will sit out for this game. Z. Rebraca has come into the roster for this upcoming game. Washington has a great all round team, shutting down Gilbert and Jamison will be our main aims for this game.

Wizards Gm pre game notes-
Wizard 0-1 record

We are looking to bounce back strong at home after our first game loss. Clippers have a very good young team and you can not under-estimate them even without Kenyon, Chris Wilcox has been doing a great job and im really impressed with Shaun Livingston, so shutting them two down is our main aim.

ESPN pre-game-

Both teams looking for the win here, La without kenyon is asking a lot to win on the road against the wizards, but they are so young and unpredictable you never know. Prediction Washington.

Wow, I just seen this dynasty and I read it ALL.
I agree with what has been said before, don't write too big stories but don't put too many pics either. Just try to find the perfect balance, that will keep the most people interested in your dynasty!
