Kuttan's Denver Nugget Dynasty:NUGGETS TRADE AWAY

Sat Jun 18, 2005 1:55 pm

Hey Guys..
ive always wanted to start a dynasty, but never got around to it. Finally, I got some time to start one up. The team I chose were the Denver Nuggets. The reason its them is because I cudnt think of any team to start with and Homeboy suggested the Nuggets, and I liked it, so yeah.

Before I start, i would like to thank all the great dynasties out there, like Mafia's, Seraph's, The X's and Flash's(ones not mentioned are great too, its just tht the list wud get to long) and especially to Cocobee, whose dynasty actually got me to think about starting one.

Thanks to all the people who helped me, especially with moral support, coz i hardly shared anything with them .
Thanks to:
Homeboy
Dragon
Leo
Mafia
Mello
Muzicka
and so many others(cant remember the names)

So without further delay, here is some info about my dynasty:

*The Sliders I use are basically the same as the ones included in Andrew's Roster Patch(the latest one), but with a few minor tweaking*

NUGGETS CRAWL PAST BUCKS DESPITE 40+ POINT EFFORTS FROM 2 PLAYER AND WEAK FREE THROW SHOOTING

Starting Lineup
Image

Denver Nuggets – 131*
Milwaukee Bucks - 129

November 12, Denver, Colo. – For the season opener, the Denver Nuggets definitely had The Almighty by their side as it seems to be the only logical explanation of the win they pulled of today. The Bucks had 2 players with 40+ points. Michael Redd and T.J Ford made sure that the Bucks controlled this game, which they did until the final quarter.

The Nuggets star, Carmelo Anthony took only 1 shot (which he missed) within the 3 point arch, mainly because of the great looks that he received outside. He shot a very respectable 8-16 (50%) to score 26 points. Newly acquired Kenyon Martin was the next leading scorer with 25 points. Marcus Camby maintained his name as “Mr. Glass” as he got injured in the 2nd quarter. He came back to score 16 points in 23 minutes. There are rumors that a trade is being discussed involving Camby with teams like New Jersey, Memphis and Atlanta.

The Buck’s team consisted basically of two players, Redd and Ford as mentioned before. The other players provided a sub par effort in the game. The Nuggets never lead the game until 2 minutes left in the 4rth quarter, a perfect time to step their game up. Things started looking bad when Carmelo and DeMarr Johnson got fouled out right after each other, but Kenyon Martin and his excellent play in the post would not let the Nuggets fall.

They are up 1-0 now, and hope to have many wins in the future, but for that, they will have to improve their freethrow shooting. They shot a dismal 6-30 (20%) tonight. They play the Houston Rockets at Houston next.

yeh about tht, i think it had something to do with my sliders, im tryin them out now. if tht does not work, then most prolly ill adjust the number of minutes.

Sun Jun 19, 2005 12:08 pm

good win long minutes though

Sun Jun 19, 2005 12:12 pm

mayb u can make more ballmovement to use up sometimes to set up ur offense instead of high scoring game like that......lol

anyway...thx for mention my name and hope u have a good time and good luck for ur dynasty... :D

Sun Jun 19, 2005 1:04 pm

EHHH  I don't think the minutes are a problem, nor maybe not your sliders (maybe your CPU sliders but thats it). What you have to do is just play regular ball. When your offense, don't rush shots or anything like that. Let the shot clock run down and set up a good offense. As for defense, just lock the computer down to the point of where they have to wait til' the shot clock has went down to execute on a play. Nice game though, hope to see you adjust for further games

NUGGETS CHOKE AT THE FINAL MINUTES OF OT

Starting Lineup
Image

Houston Rockets – 121* OT
Denver Nuggets - 111

November 14, Houston, Texas. – Going into tonight’s game, the Houston Rockets were desperate for a victory after starting off with 2 losses. The Nuggets were coming of a well deserved win against the Milwaukee Bucks, but two minutes into the game, it was very evident that this was not the same Denver squad that beat the Bucks.

Star player Carmelo couldn’t find any rhythm, while Kmart was benched due to foul trouble. The Nuggets soon found themselves in a deep hole, staring at 20 point deficit by the end of the first quarter. Coach Karl brought in some fresh legs for the 2nd quarter, and the Nuggets played better even though they were still not out of the hole yet. Wesley Person helped keep the Nuggets in throughout the game with his sharp shooting from beyond the 3 point arch; he scored a whopping 30 points in 20 minutes but when the team needed him the most, he failed to deliver.

Houston received its expected performance from superstar Tracy Mcgrady who scored 30 points, but the player of tonight’s game was David Wesley, who helped the Rockets take it with his 33 point performance. The game was tied at 103 with 2 seconds left in the clock, Earl Boykins missed the potential game winner and thus the game went to overtime, where the Nuggets failed to win. The Nuggets struggled tonight as well with freethrow shooting, shooting a dismal 3-12(25%). The coaching staff will have to look seriously into this matter.

Turnovers were another problem where the Nuggets had 20 compared to the 6 that Houston had. All-star Kenyon Martin got injured in the middle of the game but was able to come back later on. The Nuggets take on Vince Carter and the New Jersey Nets at the Pepsi Centre next.

Nice to see a Denver dynasty. Denver is one of my favourite teams and hopefully you can steer them in the right direction. You have a very good format for your recap, it is very neat and I like it a lot.

Go Dermarr Johnson! :headbang:

NUGGETS LOSE A HEARTBREAKER

Image

New Jersey Nets – 106
Denver Nuggets - 105

Image
Denver, Colo. – Andre Miller went into the locker room an unhappy man. Andre had a chance to win the game for the Nuggets, but the shot rimmed out. Tonight’s game was the closest game that the Nuggets have played so far. Nugget’s star Kenyon Martin had his best game of the year against his old team. The Nets are pretty weak at the frontcourt and Martin took this fact to full advantage. Every chance he got, he would go in either for a dunk or a tough lay-up, which he made. He shot an impressive 16-23 (69%) and had a game high 32 points and 11 rebounds. However, the Nets had their own hero in Richard Jefferson. He started the game of with a very tough lay-up shot and after that it seemed impossible to stop him. He scored a team high 31 points of a 14-25 shooting performance. The Nets two other starts, the recently acquired Vince Carter and Jason Kidd, scored 24 and 21 respectively. The Nuggets bench was not able to give their usual scoring, point guard Earl Boykins was the only bench player to score in double digits tonight. Wesley Person had a disappointing game after coming off a 30 point performance at Houston. The Nuggets aren’t happy with the performance given by starting point guard Andre Miller, who is reportedly unhappy with the direction the Nuggets are going with the team. Look for the team to get rid of him for a point guard better suited to the system that the Nuggets are currently using. The Nuggets are currently riding a 2 game losing streak, but look to change things around as they take on the 2nd overall pick of this year’s draft, Emeka Okafor and the expansion Charlotte Bobcats.
