i started off 2-4 in the first six games, siming, my intention was to sim the whole season with very minimal intervention, and wait and see who i could acquire through free agency in the off season with the Bobcatts huge salary gap. So in the below trades, how much did i cheat guys(again, from the top of my head, if anyone is interested i'll load the file and fill you in

I dipped to 3-12 after that 2-4 start, and after roster shuffling, slightly, with the starters and/or positions, decided a trade was needed:
Celtics were greatly interested in my first round draft pick, in my defense, it would've appeared to be a top 5 pick at the time - plus there were those rumours of Pierce being traded to Portland for the number 3, plus Van Excel, even if they were at the end of the season.... So Pierce for the Bobcatts first round pick, plus Gerald Wallace and one role player i can't recall... may've been Brezec.
Now comes the trade i feel guilty of... in fact i believe Brezec was involved in this one - I sent Kareem Rush, and Brezec i'm quite sure, to the Bulls for Luol Deng, Deng has really impressed my from the little i've seen of him during the last season, as well as the ratings(which i know are well researched), by the NBLSC crew.
Next, i acquired Kobe. he has a lot of negative press, but that's not so important in a video game is it? So i traded Pierce and Jason Hart to the Lakers for Kobe and Vujavic(sp?). Once again, in my defense, Kobe was only averaging about 18 - 5 - 5 through half the season, while Pierce was averaging something in the order of 20-8-5.
They were the only major trades of the season.... oh wait, i acquired Samuel Dalembert right before the trade deadline... umm get back to me on the Dalembert trade, but i know the Sixers have been defiant on not trading him, but i do recall i didn't really rip them off.
So... onto the offseason, i had roughly 23mil to work with. Dalmebert wanted a 7 year 23 mil deal to start with... and being as sleep deprived/half drunk as i was, i totally stuffed up and though he wanted 23mil a year!

So with the 23mil, and available free agents within cap room, which would maximise my rotation(at this point mainly consisting of Okafor, Kobe, Deng), i decided i wanted Antonio Daniels, Stromile Swift, Willie Green and Udonis Haslem in roughly that order... perhaps Swift first... the defensive minded C/PF's remaining that were above minimum wage were few and far between, and the offensive ones weren't guys I'm overly fond of excluding Swift, and perhaps to a lesser extent Shareef Abdur Rahim... and other's that don't spring to mind(perhaps for good reason).
Swift and Green i managed to get for slightly lower than asked, and for shorter deals(pity there weren't any forsight in NBA live concerning the new length of player contracts expected to be including in the next CBA). Daniels wouldn't budge much, so after eventually signing him for very little under the preferred rate/years, i didn't have much of a chance at getting Udonis... so i didn't.
Eventually I signed a few minimum wage guys to fill out the bench, particularly up front, of note: Jerome James(infamously incosistent) former(safe to assume anyway), Seattle Centre, and Malik Allen(PF/C, acquired for Steve Smith from Miami, who i was quite impressed with in the Miama games i watched prior to the trade, but nevertheless traded in either the Pierce or Kobe deal(can't remember which again)). other than that mostly undrafted rookies, and my number 40 draft pick, which were of course CPU generated, as i'm too lazy to do the whole real draft thing, and will just wait for the rosters from NLSC post draft

my trades were quite minimal, much like the CPU

C- Okafor
PF - Swift
SF - Deng
SG - Bryant
PG - Green/Daniels(still undecided(3-0 in season thus far, so i'll stick with green for now)
Primary Bench:
Daniels/Green
Jerome James
Malik Allen
Kedrick Brown
Dan Dickau
(CPU rookies thereafter)
any thoughts?
