If someone can call someone a wigger, I see no difference in calling someone a nigger.

The main difference is, that particular term has hundreds of years of racism and persecution attached to it.

I have respect for the slaves that went through that, because that was horrible, but it's not like any of these people went through it. It's just a word to me and you, maybe to others I could understand but we live in 2005 now.

I see where you're coming from, but it's still a racist slur that's used today which is why it's generally considered unacceptable.
