For those who visit the General talk, who still plays Live 2005 on PC? Actually, if you've even played it, could you tell me your specs? I'm getting it for PC but I'm too afraid it'll choke and die.

I have it on PS2 but since I had to move, I don't have a tv in my room anymore so I'm at the mercy of the family & I haven't had a chance for over a month.

So tell me your specs and if it's low enough if it played, nothing about 1.3 Ghz orso, keep it simple.

I used to play it on my P4, 2ghz, 384mb DDR RAM, Radeon ATI 128mb card with 1280*1028mb resolution, on quite high detail settings.
Worked great.

I want to hear from Drex, I think his PC wasn't all to great but managed anyways, atleast that's what I'm hoping to hear.

My old PC burned some time ago    I had to get a new one. It's 2.0 GHz, 256 DDR Ram, and I got a Nvidia FX 128 MB.

My old one run Live 2005 but I couldn't play it. That was because I had a shitty 8 MB video card. It was less than 900 MHz (can't remember right now) and 256 Ram... (Y)

Dammit, even you let me down by getting a new PC. :x

Sat Jun 04, 2005 4:58 am

well it works damn well for me and my computer is about 4 years old. (Y)

Press Start, press Run and type in dxdiag. Et voila.

Or:

Press start, press run & type msinfo32.exe

2.0 Ghz, round 450 Ram, not great but not bad either. It's right in between.

ah, Good enough to run Half-Life 2 at "Medium" (except textures which is at max) very smoothly apparently :D

Sat Jun 04, 2005 5:55 am

533mhz
312mb memory
128mb video card

and NBA Live won't even start

but I'm not sure if I wanted to play the game with this

Sat Jun 04, 2005 6:21 am

Hehe, minimum tech requirements for NBA Live 2005:

System: 700Mhz or equivalent
RAM:256 MB RAM
CD-ROM: 16X CD-ROM
Video Memory: 32 MB VRAM
Hard Drive Space: 1800 MB

I'm glad this crap I have is like 820 Mhz + 312 MB.

Sat Jun 04, 2005 7:02 am

Here's mine and Live works just fine:

1GHz, 256RAM, 64MB GeForce.

It chopes a lil' but hey!

Sat Jun 04, 2005 9:03 am

I have this and runs PERFECTLY:

Pentium 4 at 2.00 GHz
256MB RAM
128 MB Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 Video Card

Sat Jun 04, 2005 12:14 pm

Pentium 3 600 Mhz
512 RAM
64 MB GeForce 4

It runs decently but not at high detail though.

how would one do that?

Sat Jun 04, 2005 4:31 pm

you do it through the bios, Either by increasing the fsb frequency (easiest way) or by increasing teh cpu multiplier (too much will burn your cpu if u don't have the appropriate cooling).

i hate that too....id get limited PT each day :(

System: 700Mhz or equivalent
RAM:256 MB RAM
CD-ROM: 16X CD-ROM
Video Memory: 32 MB VRAM
Hard Drive Space: 1800 MB

this is good news, i exceed everything required.

Sat Jun 04, 2005 10:46 pm

Well with my specs it refused to play. Or maybe it was some other reason but whatever, I'm going to get me my tv from my sister's place today. :x

Sun Jun 05, 2005 1:59 am

My pc Specs
 P4 2.4Ghz
 768MB Ram
 ATI Radeon 7500 64mb

I play on maximum settings with no lag, but still cant turn "lighting" on.

Sun Jun 05, 2005 2:23 am

Well, that post was pretty much useless given I already said it won't work.

hmm.... how do I go aobut doing the first one?

Mon Jun 06, 2005 7:03 am

I want to get my answer from Jowe or annyone else...

Search the net for how to adjust your BIOS, and remember to do so very carefully as to not fry your computer. My BIOS have automatic overclocking, all I have to do is click a button. :)
