Rebuilding the Lakers-Part 1 & 2

I almost completely rebuilt the Lakers. I traded Kobe Bryant, Chucky Atkins, Luke Walton for Lamar Odom, Karrem Rush, Gerald Wallace. Before this big trade I had traded Lamar Odom for Emeka Okafor. I signed Kyle Korver as a Free Agent. The current lineup is-

C-Emeka Okafor #50
PF-Lamar Odom #7
SF-Gerald Wallace #3
SG-Sasha Vujacic #18
PG-Jason Hart #1

These guys provide a big explosion off the bench-
PF-Brian Cook#43
SG-Kyle Korver #26
SF-Jermaine Jones #20
SG-Kareem Rush #4

Still haven't won a championship yet but I am gotting close

Does anyone have any new ideas for this Dynasty? Trades, ect....

I'd prefer play with Kobe who is the franchise player.You should trade Chucky Atkins, Luke Walton or other guys for a good center .Okafor should play as PF.If you really want to trade Kobe,you should have made better choices,you can get Tim Duncan I think instead of Lamar Odom.

Hey man, thanks for the info, but the reason I traded Kobe was two things, to clear up some salary cap space it went from $33.54M to $3.32M, and once I traded Kobe, we were a 5 seed in the playoffs instead of not making the playoffs. Now the bad thing is, is that I need a BIG MAN. Got any ideas to get a BIG MAN? Should I go to the Draft or Free Agency?

Try to trade vujacic and Cook for Dalembert. He is a great shot blocker and rebounder.

Then I woul insert him into your starting lineup by moving Odom to SF Okafor to PF and Dalembert to C. Rush would play SG and Wallace would come off the bench.

Try get Curry then ,he's strong enough (strength91)and good at inside scroing(91!!!!!!!!!! ),he also does good job on defense(block74).He can dominate on both ends of the court.Yao is also a good choice,but can you get him??


I think there's no need to clear up cap space,if you do that,it's still tough for you to sign a above-average player,who usually ask for 6-7M or even more a year.So you maybe only afford some below-average players as bench. You play for a better position rather than save money,right?

Maybe not, he is rebuilding after all.
Tips for centers: LaFrentz, Camby, Dampier, Brezec.
Not too highly rated, but they are solid centers, they do have big contracts except Brezec and maybe Camby (?).

Now I need someone to replace the Center I get in case he gets hurt. Should I make another trade or look to the draft?

LaFrentz, Camby, Dampier may be too expensive for his team if you are rebuilding as ceekay said.
Now that you want a center who can replace Okafor and the guy wont take up much cap room,you may consider the guys followed:
R.Traylor(Cleveland)
Diop(Cleveland)
Dalembert(76ers)
Haywood(Wizards)
Zo(Heats)
S.Hunter(Suns)
......
I still have to say:Curry is your best choice.

Some of my more fav backup Centers:
- David Harrison (good solid all-around stats with big size and strength, and dirt cheap)
- Haywood (i don't know if he counts, irl he's a starting center)
- Pollard (easy to trade for because he's a 50, but he has a fat contract)
