ANOTHER TRADE BETWEEN NEW ORLEANS AND TORONTO

TORONTO GETS

Today the Toronto Raptors deiced to trade their 7th man Eric Williams and Loren Woods who was on the Injured list the whole season. New Orleans sends their HS rookie JR Smith. The main reason of this trade was to get a good athletic guy and make the cap room less negative. “We think that Williams demanded a bit too much.” – said Raps GM. Loren Woods was just a guy who was on the IL, and Raptors didn’t use him at all and decided to get rid of him.

Eric Williams averages 5 points a game, and 1 rebound a game. JR Smith averages 11.5 ppg, and 3 ppg. “He is a young and in shape, Williams is old and not being in his best shape.” – Said Sam Mitchell. JR Smith is happy about going to Toronto. “I’m so happy to be here. This is the place where I’ll show all my talents. I will play along side with veteran Jalen Rose and a sophomore Chris Bosh. The only thing I don’t like here is the weather, its cold(laughs)”. “Its really sad for me to go to a team that isn’t very good. But I will get a lot more playing time in there, than I did here. No hard feeling to Raps though.”

Toronto loses 2 in a row.

PHOENIX – TORONTO 99-94

TORONTO, ON – Both teams are the top contenders in their conferences. Suns won this one by a close margin. In the first quarter Rose scored 10 points and the Raps won that quarter 36 to 35. But the Suns were not ready to give up. Richardson was trying to make something happened for the Suns, but Toronto’s good Defense made the Suns miss their shots. Bosh was cold in the first half scoring only 6 points. Prince made some good drives to the hoop and the Raptors extended their lead to 3 at the half.

Stoudamire and Richardson led the Suns. Those are the two guys who made the Raptors work on Defense. Marion was a non-factor in the game scoring only 10 points. Johnson was afraid to take a 3-point shot after he shot an air ball in the first. Nash had 10 assists and scored 12 points, he helped them on Defense making Alston take bad shots. They shot 44% from the field and 38% from the three-point line.

Tayshaun Prince, Jalen Rose and Chris Bosh led the Raptors. All three of them combined for 66 points. Araujo crashed the boards pulling down 15 rebounds, 5 of them are offensive. The newest member of the Raps scored only 4 points. Alston had 9 assists and 8 points. The Raptors scored 14 points from their horrible FT shooting, they only shot 70% from there. Rose made the most field goals for the Raps.

In the third both teams were close. Phoenix scored a lot in the end of the third quarter. At the end of the third Toronto’s lead was only 1 point. In the 4th quarter both teams were close. At about 2:00 mark Bosh got his 5th person foul, and the Raps just quit. They couldn’t score, because their main big man was on the bench, and it cost them the game. The Raps are now 6-2 and Suns are 7-1.

That's weird that you have 2 teams with 2 candidates from the same team.

3rd quarter blow out bring the Raps another W

NEW YORK - TORONTO 79-96

TORONTO, ON - New York have been struggling so far with only 2 wins and three losses. Their main player is Stephon Marbury, and thats the player that the Raptors should play a good defense on him. The teams started out very close and were able to score easy baskets. The Raps started to play sloppy and the Knicks went on a 10-2 run. At the end of the 1st the Knicks were leading by 10, 34-24.In the 2nd quarter the Raps started playing better Defense and were able to convert to convert 2 times from downtown. At the end of the 2nd quarter the Raptors were only losing by 1 point. In the 3rd quarter Rose showed everybody what he can do. He drove to the hoop a couple of times and knocked some mid range shots. The Knicks just played very bad Defense and weren't able to score on offense. Rose scored 14 points in that quarter, and the Knicks only scored 13 overall in that quarter. In the 4th quarter it was a tied game, both teams scored 15 ponits, but it was enough for the Raps to get another win. Knicks are now 2-4 and Raps are 7-2.

For the Knicks Jamal Crowford was their leading scorer with 19 points and 4 assists. Marbury only score8 points, but had 5 assists. Kurt Thomas pulled down 13 rebounds and scored 12 points. They shot 33% from the field and 38% from the three point line.

For the Raps Jalen Rose led them with 24 points and 3 assists. lston had 10 points and got 3 assists. Bosh pulled down 12 rebounds and scored 20 points. Prince had an average game with 11 points. The Raps shot 38% from the field and only 11% from downtown.

BLOCKBUSTER TRADE

HOUSTON GETS
Image Image

TORONTO GETS
Image Image

Today the Rockets and the Raptors had a huge blockbuster trade. Jalen Rose and Chris Bosh will go to Houston and Tracy McGrady and Dikembe Mutombo will go to Toronto. The Raptors GM is happy that he got this deal: “ I’m getting a real superstar that will give my team a great look. With him we might even win the Championship.”

As T-Mac arrived to Toronto a bunch of media people surrounded him. “I don’t know what to say. I’m really glad that I’ll get a chance to play with guys like Prince, Alston and Marshall” – Said T-Mac. McGrady has been averaging 21 points per game and 12 rebounds per game. He also averages 5 assists per game. Dikembe Mutombo averages 2.5 PPG and 3.5 RBG. Now Dikembe will get more playing time and will average more points and more rebounds since he’s going to be my starting Center.

T-Mac’s and Dikembe’s Jersey’s:

Big trade, I like it, but only cos im T-Mac fan, getting rid of Rose was good, but losing Bosh my hurt.

Good dynasty so far, except maybe you should make it a little harder.

Good luck with T-Mac, i usually find the game too easy when using him or Kobe/ray etc

it's a nice trade....I wouldn't have done it myself as am not a huge fan of T-Mac, and really like Bosh, but nonetheless, you have unloaded Rose's contract and received T-Mac in the same deal....

T-Mac scores 31, the Raps win again

TORONTO – NEW JERSEY 100-96

TORONTO, ON – Both teams are fighting for the first spot in the Atlantic Division. The Nets were playing good, but not good enough to stop T-Mac and the Raptors. In the 1st quarter the Nets took control of the game, after J-Rich and Kidd scored some points. Mutombo scored about 6 points that quarter and was leading the Raps in scoring. In the second quarter the Raps played awesome Defense and won the quarter. In the 3rd the Raptors didn’t score much and were trailing by 5. In the 4th at about 2:00 mark the Raptors took the lead after T-Mac scored his free throws. The Nets took a TO, but it didn’t lead to anything. The Raptors stole the ball and Alston made a lay-up. The score was 94-90. Jason Kidd hit a three. The Raptors were holding on to the ball, and the Nets fouled them. Alston hit both free throws. Then the Nets got the ball and missed a three. Marshall, who got the rebound, was quickly fouled. He made both of them. The Nets didn’t score again, and McGrady made two free throws. Then Mercer hit a meaningless two, but the Raps came out on top.

Jason Kidd led the Nets with 30 points. He also had 6 assists. Nenad Kristic pulled down 9 rebounds. The bench only scored 10 points. They shot 44% from the field and 45 from the 3-point line.

T-Mac was the player of the game with 31 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Mt.Mutombo scored 16 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Alston and Marshall scored both scored 15, and Prince scored 13 including 4 assists. Raps shot 52% from the field and 25% from the three-point line.
