The movie I have watched the most times repetitively is My Dog Skip.
Other good ones are LOTR, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, Rush in Rio, Field of Dreams

forgot about A Beautiful Mind, Green Mile, American History X...Clockwork Orange was great. Fortunately, I got to watch it for my English class otherwise I wouldn't have known what it was.
And Mazz, Da Vinci Code is a book. Going to be turned into a movie starring Tom Hanks. It's pretty cool.

You must really like Tom Hanks. So do I.

I've been compared to Tom Hanks by various people....I still haven't worked out if that's a good thing (they respect him I dunno) or a bad thing (Forrest Gump

)

basically a guy and girl trying to uncover truths about Jesus's life and how there's this secret society that's really old is keeping the secret. Da Vinci was one of their prominent members and some clues were hidden in his art...kinda hard to explain without ruining it but it's a really good book...

While I really liked Scarface and Pulp Fiction, I didn't enjoy Lost in Translation. I thought it was way too subtle.

Napoleon Dynamite is a bad movie. I wanted to watch it for so long and then i did and in the end thought it was dumb. Just seemed like a bunch of stupid stuff that was supposed to be funny. I guess its good if you are into stupid comedy type movies.
i say you should watch...
Donnie Darko
Butterfly Effect
Above the rim
Edward Scissorhands
Elf

Pff Saving private ryan = Most overrated warmovie through all times.
It's okey but far from great war pieces as Platoon & Full metal Jacket.

Why is it overrated? It goes into so many themes about humanity, as it's not just about going around and killing people. Ironically, as much as I enjoy watching war movies, I haven't seen Platoon and Full Metal Jacket yet, even though I keep hearing about them. I'll try to watch them in the near future?
Thu May 12, 2005 2:53 am
I just dislike the way is it is directed. It's too much Hollywood in my taste.
Platoon & Full metal jacket were more authentic and more real IMO. You can really see how Charlie Sheen's character is cracking down in "the Platoon" & you get to see how insane war really is in Full metal jacket.
If you haven't seen Full metal Jacket ot Platoon, you haven't seen the best war movies.
BTW: have you seen "Apocalypse now"?

That one is not exactly a war movie... It's a psychological drama taking place on Vietnam... with some battle scenes... A masterpiece, and Marlon Brando is huge, not only in actual size. I love the way he dominates the movie only appearing in 5% of it...
Best actor of all time, period.
Thu May 12, 2005 3:22 am
Yeah I kinda agree you with you. It is much of a psychological drama but it's a psychological drama that only can take place in a war movie.
My favorite actor has always been Robert de Niro, but yeah Brando is mos def one the top 5 best of all times.

Marlon and Robby are two of the best, and the two that could actually transform themselves in order ti fit the part.
It was amazing how De Niro's body size changed , according to the roles he prepared for. First he played in "Taxi Driver" and was skinny as hell. The he played the boxer in ... ( I don't remember the title ) and was bulky as hell. Then he was fat as hell in another movie. ( Damn, I'm prety bad remamberung names and titles...)
The y also both played Vito Corleone, Brando in Godfather I and De Niro in Godfather II. Huge movies
