Topscorers:
POINTSMagloire 34 Boozer 30
REBOUNDS Magloire 15 Boozer 14
ASSISTS Magloire 5 McCleod 4

Today was a game I thought I would win bigtime. The jazz had a streak of 1-5 and we were on homecoart but they took an early adventage because mobley was out of sink. Magloire did a good thing scoring 15 of the 17 scored points in the 1st quarter. then they started defending him and I needed to take shots with other guys on the coart. My experiment with Haislip as starting forward pay'd off with him scoring 10 big points and grabbing some rebounds. We did what we could and came back till we were tied at the end of the game. in Overtime boozer took over and dominated from beginning till the end of overtime and so we lost.

Hornets Player of the Game:

Image
Jamaal Magloire 34 pts,15 rebs, 0 blk,5 ass,1 stl Game-Grade: 10
He did a great job scoring 15 points in the 1st but he stayed a dominating factor the whol game long grabbing 15 rebs and making a total of 34 points.

News week #3

Season overlook
The season has just been started and now I allready want to take a look at what we did the last 3 weeks. We started with a bad team and a even worse bench. I'm still happy that we traded players with the kings because we got a new solid starter now and a good bench forward. We also signed 2 new players who been contributing since two. Haislip has conquered a starting 5 role because of his good performances in the last games also Glover has found his way of dealing with things in the game. At the beginning of the season I "Hoped we would get a playoff spot but at this point in the season with 3 wins over potential playoffs teams I think the team will be able to secure a 6th spot in the western conferance. I still look to trade some players to make our team stronger but the things look good lately. I think of the Utah game like just a mistake made by the team. I hope we can build on on the road of victory's we started and can even win on the road we still have 2 home games now and then we hit the road. after the 3 game roadtrip I cna sertainly tell you guys more about our chances.

Player overlook

Cuttino Mobley Grade of first 5 games: 9
Image
What can I say, he came from the Kings and turned this place upside down. He is our leading scorer by miles with 29,9 points a game. He does a lot of work for us. I think he did'nt bother coming to New Orleans and took over the leadership here and went the way he wanted to go with this team. I hope he can stay in touch and split leadership with Magloire and we will be fine.

Jamaal Magloire Grade of first 5 games: 8
Image
Jamaal has done a good job of carying this team he scores almost 16 points a game and grabs nearly 12 rebounds. After the first game agianst Miami I thought O no... but he has learned from that game and improved. I hope he can continue this streak and can be our leader the rest of the way'

J.R. Smith Grade of first 5 games: 7
Image
Has been a stable factor for our team the last 5 games. I did'nt expect that from an 18 year old rookie. He playes good team basketball dishing out 3 assists a game and scoring allmost 9 points a game. What can I say... Smith for ROY?

Casey Jacobsen Grade of first 5 games: 7
Image
Jacobsen is a benchie.. but what kind of. He plays like 10 minutes a game but he also scores 8 points game. he's one of the benchies I don't mind putting in because I know he will score some points.

Bostjan Nachbar Grade of first 5 games: 7
Image
Also a stable factor, just like Jacobsen form the bench with almost the same scores. The good thing about him is that he's tall so he's also capable to shoot 3's over bigger defenders.

Speedy Claxton Grade of first 5 games:6,5
Image
Speedy is a small pg I thouht that would cause troubles but no it does'nt he always spins around a defender using his speed and then shoot the ball. the only thing I think he needs to practise on is shooting 3's because he sometimes can shoot airballs for the arc.

Marcus Haislip Grade of first 5 games: 6
Image
A good steady force. I only saw him good in the last game where he playerd as an starter he did well and scored some pointsso I expect him to put this on.

Dan Dickau,Brian Skinner,David West,Dion Glover ImageImageImageImage

The rest of the players are at 5,5 they perform good enough but not to write home about. there is nothing interesting to tell abou these guys

Portland Trailblazers@New Orleans Hornets

Goal:
Try and do what I did the 3 games before Utah and try to win from this team that has a very strong backcoart. their in a 4-1 streak so it's gonna be tough for me for sure

Matchups
New Orleans Hornets
ImageImageImageImageImage
Portland Trailblazers
ImageImageImageImageImage

Jamaal Magloire vs. Theo Ratliff Tough matchup here today we got a great offensive player that showed me what he can do with the ball against a good defensive shotblocker. Magloire showed that he plays well agaisnt every center (except Shaq  ) so I think he can sertainly win this matchup lets see the adventage goes to magloire with10/8

Marcus Haislip vs. Zach Randolph Haislip is a nice player who can score points he showed me that last match, but today he gotta play against a great player like zach Randolph I hope he can stop randolph on offense but i'm really afraid he cant. this matchup goes to Randolph with10/4

J.R Smith vs. Shareef Abdur-Rahim J.R is great for our team he can shoot a little and he can even hit open 3's he scores a couple of points a game but today he's matchuped agianst a player who is much bigger that him. Rahim is a great player he's tall but also atletic enough to go to the basket and score. he can also shoot the ball pretty wel this matchup goes to Rahim with10/5

Cuttino Mobley vs. Damon Stoudamire No need to tell you bout Mobley so start obout stoudamire he's old but can still driive hard to the basket. he can also shoot the 3 ball pretty well I think he's not a matchup for mobley for for sure he can cause troubles for our defense. this matchup goes to mobley with10/6

Speedy Claxton vs. Nick Van Exel Bith quick bith can driive to the basket, only van exel can shoot better then Claxton can so that's why he gets the adventage10/7

New orleans Hornets vs. Portland Trailblazers the complete adventage for Denver is 44/36 this showes the reality our team gotta work hard if they want to win this game. they all know it and there goinna do the best they cna to win

Topscorers:

REBOUNDS Magloire 9, Haislip 9 randolph 14

Today games was what I said earlier tough because portland was doing well and I saw that. I came in fron in the 1st and 2nd. so I thought I would win it. but in the 3th quarter the blazers were hot and I became Icecold. they took a 14 point lead and in the end I could´nt come back.

Hornets Player of the Game:
neither of the players played very well the player who played the best was Hailip and that sais enough.

Injuries
ImageImage
Chris will probably be out for a week
Ron Will problable be out 2,5 week with a broken nose
Today was anounced that 2 inportant team players Chris Webber and Ron Artest were both took of the coart in there games yesterday due an injury. Porblable the outcome of the injury of ron Artest won't have any bearing on my team because we don't have to play against them but it could be that Webber is still injured when we play against him. I wish them both good luck and let them recover quickly (but not to quick  )

Trade

After the 2 losses over Utah and Portland Coach YoG! said that we would need a stronger bench to make any chances of getting into the playoffs so they went and searched and found Washington who was very unlucky over Juan Dixon the 2nd year player of washington so we talked and we talked and we arranged a good deal for both of the teams.

Juan Dixon (PG, 26 years old 57 overall) and Brendan Haywood (C, 25 years old 63 overall) for Chris Andersen (PF,26 years old 24 overall) and David West (C, 24 years old, 54 overall)

Chicago Bulls@New Orleans Hornets

Goal:
Just take the win home, and test out Walker

Matchups
New Orleans Hornets
ImageImageImageImageImage
Chicago Bulls
ImageImageImageImageImage
Jamaal Magloire vs. Eddy Curry This is going to be fun to watch because both players are about evenly matched their both good offensive players but only magloire can block on defense that should be the key of winning this matchup the adventage goes to Jamaal with10/9

Antoine Walker vs. Tyson Chandler this is also fun I got Walker just one day and he allreadyt has a big test agianst Chandler. Antoine can shoot pretty good and his post moves are ok 2. but the problem with him is that he does'nt have much strenght. Chandler on the other hand is very strong and can also perform postmoves he can also block but Walker is just a bit better and that's why this matchup goes to walker with10/6

J.R Smith vs. Luol Deng J.R is a strong and quick SF, he cna run the coart down and up without getting tired. he can also shoot pretty good. Luol deng a same type of player as Smith only Deng does al the things thta smith can do a little better that's why this matcup goes to deng with10/8

Cuttino Mobley vs. Ben Gordon This is the matchup to watch. Mobley is quick and can shoot from probably everywhere. the same for the rookie Ben Gordon. so this matchup is to keep an eye on because it's ties at10/10

Speedy Claxton vs. Kirk Hinrich Kirk is a good young PG, he can shoot balls from everywhere on the coart and is a good defender two. Claxton needs to use his quicknees all the time or else he's no match for an player like Hinrich this matchup goes to Hintrich with10/6

New orleans Hornets vs. Chicago Bulls the complete adventage for Chicago is 45/43 This match cna go either way. I hope we can shwo that's were better than the young Cicago team and that the experiance of my players can win.

This game was a complete blow and the last thing I expected, they played good basketball with guys like Gordon, but we just played good team basketball. for my team everybody scored adn that's a sign that i played team basketball. Al;so they took the ball way to much to Luol deng who then made a bad shot he shot only 7 for 17 from the field. We played just good basketball and let antoine do his thang and we take the win

He played well all 4 quaters and he showed us he can score himself but can also pass the ball when a double team occurs.

A game we could possibly win because the warriors had a bad streak, but we needed to take the game on the road. Before the game I gave J.R. Smith a personal training for his Shooting and it worked nicely. We started the game on the wrong note with missing a lot of easy shots. they took a big lead and as you can see Mobley was as cold as Ice can be. So I tried some other players and it even went worse (can it be?) So I knew I would probably lose. Magloirew and Walker combined for some nice buckets int he 2nd and that's the reason I kept going to them. Also Hailip did a good job from the bench scoring 7 points in the 3th. In the 4th Mobley found his shot back a bit and we cut the lead but with only 1,2 secs to go Baron Davis scored a 3P and Mobley could'nt score so we lost

He is the onl;y one, with Walker and Smith who playes constantly the last few games. He's trying to get The Patrick Kaas Trophy for being the player of the game the most and he's doing good.

Goal:
Try to stay in touch and dont ever lose iverson out of eyesight

Matchups

Jamaal Magloire vs. rodney_rogers In my opinion this is a bog win for Magloire. rogers is a good player vut he can't match the level that Jamaal Magloire can put up. We only gotta watch his powermoves and short ranged shots. this matchup goes to Magloire with 10/5

Antoine Walker vs. Chris Webber Both players are stars and both can do there thing but there are some differances. Webber is a good inside player while his outside shot is't that good. Walker is a weaker inside player but he has a very good shot. This matchup will be the key to winning games if you win this matchup youi will probably win the game. this one is tied at10/10

J.R Smith vs. Jamal Mashburn Jr can be good for the team he can shoot the ball pretty well and can also make some nice inside moves. Jamal Mashburn is a very good shooter so he needs to be defending good for the rest are they almost as fast as each other. the matchup slightly goes to Mashburn with10/8

Cuttino Mobley vs. Allen Iverson A good matchup again. Mobley can shoot today I really think that because Allen is very undersized Allen can do his thing in the paint and make drives bvut I'm gonna try asnd blcok him a few times with magloire this match up still goes to allen Iverson with10/4

Juan Dixon vs. Kevin Ollie This is going to be Dixon's 1st start and thats because he scores more that claxton does he dishes more and he is a better defender. Im going to try and take as much adventage as I can because Dixon cna shoot pretty good and ollie is just an average guy this adventage goes to Dixon with 10/6

New orleans Hornets vs. Philidelphia 76ers the complete adventage for New Orleans is 41/42 The key is defending Webber good and try to blcok iverson I hope my stategy will work and then we off and running

A game were we tryed to use all of our starts and that worked fine. in the 1st quarter we did'nt do that to well but we tryed and do it in the second and that worded completely we took a good lead and for the whole game they could'nt get back.
