The team
My goal this season is to make the Playoffs. I Took the New Orleans Hornets because in the real NBA there the 2nd worse team after the Hawks and I wanted to try and turn things around and take them into the playoffs.

I took a look at the team and saw we don’t have a very good team. Here is my staring 5 for the beginning of the season.

C: Jamaal Magloire
Image
PF: Chris Andersen
Image
SF: Casey Jacobsen
Image
SG: J.R. Smith

PG: Speedy Claxton

!!! BEEP BEEP !!!!!! BEEP BEEP !!!!!! BEEP BEEP !!!

Hi Yog, this is Donald Sterling owner of the LA Clippers.

I'm glad you were able to find a job with the horents so fast. No hard feeling okay? I had to do what I had to do, you did trade away this season's MIP and April's Rookie of the month for scrubs.

Anyway, I wish you the best with the Hornets.

Best regards,
Donald

PS, can't wait to deal trades with you!

New Orleans Hornets@Miami Heat

Goal:
The goal of today's match is to test players like J.R Smith and Jamaal Magloire. I hope we can stay in the trail of the Heat because everybody knows we're the underdog in this match.

Matchups
New Orleans Hornets
ImageImageImageImageImage
Miami Heat
ImageImageImageImageImage

Jamaal Magloire vs. Shaquille O'neal Magloire should be our star players and he's really doing his thing with short range jumpers, Grabbing rebounds etc. etc. But Shaq is a different story He's so big and strong in the low post he beats Magloire by miles on posting up. He can also shoot the short range jumper and is a good blocker and rebounder. so i would give an 10/2 adventage to Shaq

Chris Andersen vs. Udonis Haslem Chris is a good PF he's excellent in rebounding and is pretty good in post up moves. He is'nt really that good in shooting though. Haslem is a youngster who can do the power moves as well. I'm not sure he's also good in rebounding so I will give an 6/5 adventage to Chris Andersen

Casey Jacobsen vs. Eddie Jones Casey is a good player for our team. he can secure our 3p shooting and normal shooting. for the rest he is'nt that usefull for our team. Eddie Jones is an experianced player who can still do some dribble moves and cut to the hoop. He's also one of the better shooters in the league. His mid range jumper is excellent and he's also good at 3p shooting. this adventage goes to Eddie Jones with 7/2

J.R Smith vs. Dwayne Wade J.R is our young becoming star. He's a great dunker adn he's able to do some good bribble moves to make an open lane for him to go to the basketb. Defense is not his best part of the game but he can play it. His shot is his weakest part I think., Dwayne Is a Becoming superstar and I playing great he's a good guard who can pass the ball down low to Shaq or make his own show woth sizzling dunks or good shots. This adventage goes to Wade with 10/3

Speedy Claxton vs. Damon Jones His name says the game, This is one of the fastest players in the game and he's a great point guard. He's particulary good in cutting the lane and do his own thing. Shooting is'nt his best part in the game. Jones is an veteran player who sees the coart well he can shoot the 3 ball but is'nt as good as Speedy is going to the basket. This adventage is Drwan because Speedy is a better inside player and Jones is a better outside shooter. it goes 5/5

New orleans Hornets vs. Miami Heat the complete adventage for miami is 37/18 So it's really clear Miami has the better team. but where gonna try every thing we can to prevent this game from being a Blow out. I hope I can test the team good and that players like PJ Brown and other veterans on my team can also make a good contribution and maybe we can take the win home

i think PJ Brown should be in starting 5. He is very good defender , good def.aw. and rebounding. I think in starting five PJ Brown is better than C.Anderson. But this is yours dynasty so do it yourself:)

Topscorers:
POINTS Andersen 18 O'neal 18
REBOUNDS Magloire 9 Haslem 11
ASSISTS Magloire 3 D. Jones 4

The game was Certainly an blow out and that was because of the good switching in scoring by the Heat. In the 1st they went to damon Jones and he did some crazy things with the ball. In the 2nd I started a double team on Jones and I tryed to get back a little bit but they turned to Haslem and O'neal making some good baskets. On my side everybody was cold in the first half. only Bostjan Nachbar scoring 6 points in the 1st half. In the 2nd I tryed to use more of Magloire but as I mentioned in my preview earlier Shaq was just an to big force. Luckily Andersen could do something for my team. The heat played excellent team basketball while some players on my team were'nt in the game at all. Players like Claxton,Magloire and Smith not contributing enough says the story.

Hornets Player of the Game:

Image
Chris Andersen 18 pts,8 rebs,3 blk,1 ass,0 stl Game-Grade: [i]7,5
Andersen played better than expected he did an good job on the offensive end agianst Haslem and sometimes even Shaq he had some deadly hook shots and made some nice runs. Also some blocks on the defensive end and he did grab some nice rebounds over shaq.

Teams News Week #1

Signings
After the big loss against the Miami heat I took a good look at my team and I saw my team is'nt to strong in the PF/C category. I keep in mind that I want to trade PJ Brown away because of his age and I decided I needed to sign a good PF. I saw 2 interesting players Keon Clark and Marcus Haislip. Eventually I took Haislip because he's 23 and Clark is 30. Also Clark is'nt that much better then Haislip. under here you can read the newsbulletin from the New Orleans daily papers.

New Orleans Sign in Young Power Forward Haislip

Today we all heard the New Orleans Hornets have signed a new Young Powerforward. They had the choice between Haislip and Clark and they took Haislip because of his age. Reported is that the Coach YoG! of the Hornets is thinking about trading away Magloire for an Superstar SG we only dont know who yet. Haislip have told us he's very happy with the deal he made with the hornets and he's glad he can play basketball agian. Sources say the Hornets signed Haislip for 3 years and it would earn him a total of $6,2 Million.

They were also happy to tell the fans that they signed guard Dion Glover for a 3 year deal. they signed the 26 year old SG for 3 years and he's going to earn $6,6 million in those 3 years.

Trading rumours
[i]On WWW.Hornets-Fans.com there is a new daily talk subject. Where is Magloire going some people say they are going to do an trade with the Boston Celtics. The trade is going to take Paul Pierce out of Boston in trade for PJ Brown,Jamaal Magloire and Jackson Vroman.

ImageImageImage
Jamaal Magloire,PJ Brown and Jackson Vroman
Image
Paul Pierce
another rumour to think about is the trade of Shareef-abdur Rahim to the Hornets. It's clear that their interested in the services of Rahim but what do they need to pay for him. A spokesman of the Blazers said that the coaching staff of the Blazers would accept the trade if PJ Brown and Maciej Lampe would be involved for the 8 season vet Rahim. the trade would look like this then.
ImageImage
PJ Brown and Maciej Lampe
Image
Shareef Abdur-Rahim

This is still a rumour the Hornets want to do this trade but want the opinion from the fans first. So give ur opinion about both of the trades and tell me witch one I should do.

Memphis Grizzlies@New Orleans Hornets

Goal:
This match is also tho test the players out. A win would be nice but I don't think we can pull it off.

Matchups
New Orleans Hornets
ImageImageImageImageImage
Memphis Grizzlies
ImageImageImageImageImage

Jamaal Magloire vs. Lorenzen Wrightl Magloire is a good low post player. Defensively he's unstoppable. I hope he can make a offensive stance and then we could beat Wright. Whright is good in rebounding and on defense he can be a great offensive player but he not consistant. I really hope he has an off night and then we can win I will give an10/6 adventage to Magloire

Chris Andersen vs. Pau Gasol Pau is a great PF. he's a pretty good and steady shooter and he can attack the basket. He's good on defense but not as good as he is on offense. Andersen is'nt the best PF but he's a good rebounder. He showed me some things on offense in the game agianst the Heat So i expect much from this guy even though he's matched up agianst a star. The adventage goes to Gasol with10/6

Casey Jacobsen vs. Shane Battier Casey is a good player for our team. he can secure our 3p shooting and normal shooting. for the rest he is'nt that usefull for our team. Battier is a good help player he is'nt their star but he can contribute if he needs to. the adventage goes to Battier with10/5

J.R Smith vs. Mike Miller J.R let me down the last game. but I don't blame him at all he was matched up agianst a star. I think this game he will have a little bit more room to manouvre with Miller as defender. Miller is an excellent shooter from 2 and also from 3 So J.R Needs to defend close to him. this adventage goes to Miller with 10/7

Speedy Claxton vs. Jason Williams Speedy also let me down he can be extremely fast but he needs the needs to have the right opponent. Jason is a lot better then jason with shooting, dribbling etc. this matchup goes to Williams with 10/6

New orleans Hornets vs. Memphis Grizzlies the complete adventage for Memphis is 46/32 So the Grizzlies have an clear atventage. but we are gotta try and get Magloire and Wright get 1 on 1 then we can win. I hope we can play twam defense and good team offense and that Magloire and some other guys can step a bit up and we can take the win at home.

Trade
We are happy to tell that the organization have made a new deal. We signed Center Keon Clark and traded him with Jackson Vroman and PJ Brown to the Sacremento Kings for Brian Skinner and Cuttino Mobley.

[size=12][i]I'm really happy with the deal we made today because we lost a verteran who demanded to much money plus a crappy player we never used. We got in exchange a good starter SG and a good verteran center

Guys tell me what you think of this trade, I myself think it's pretty good because I traded away a veteran and signed a good Guard and a good Center.

now this was a good trade....Mobley will slot straight in as the starting SG, you can move JR Smith to SF, and move Jacobsen to the bench....Skinner can either start at PF or he can be your 1st big man off the bench....

a nice 1st trade....personally I wouldn't have done it as I don't like the idea of signing a free agent and packaging him in a deal, but ahh well, considering your Clippers trades, you did a lot better with this one (Y)

REBOUNDS Magloire 15 Gasol 11
ASSISTS Smith 7 Williams 6

This was my 1st game with my newly traded players Mobley and Skinner and as I said earlier it was a try-out and I did not expect the team winning. in the 1st quarter I tryed to put some pressure on Magloire and Mobley because they are my stars and it did'nt work they combined for only 5 points in the 1st qaurter in the 2nd I went on with this project and Mobley did it alone scoring 15 points in the 2nd and I was right back into the game. I stayed with the concept of Magloire and mobley getting the ball and doing their thing and I worked with the help of J.R Smith scoring 12 points and dishing 7 assists it was over also some benchies had a good night and contributed. The 1st win of the season over a good team.

Hornets Player of the Game:

Cuttino Mobley 30 pts,5 rebs,1 blk,1 ass,0 stl Game-Grade: 9
Mobley did his thing from the 2nd till the end of the game hitting good open shots and shooting 3's over bigger men shooting over 60% he was the best men on the hornets side.

Orlando Magic@New Orleans Hornets

Goal:
Make this our first home victory

Matchups
New Orleans Hornets
ImageImageImageImageImage
Orlando Magic
ImageImageImageImageImage

Jamaal Magloire vs. Tony Battie Magloire showed me something the othernight agianst Memphis.. He can play the offensive flow but he's also very good in stopping an fast break of the opponent. Battie is'nt the best offensive player but he's sure good in blocking. the adventage goes to magloire with 10/8

Chris Andersen vs. Dwight Howard Dwight Howard is a young proving rookie. he's one of the weapons o0f Orlando on offense and he can also block and rebound good on defense. Andersen is a god guy for our team he can't match Howard on offense but he sure can on defense he grabs a lot ofd rebounds and even blocks some balls a game the adventage goes to Howard with10/7

Cuttino Mobley vs. Grant Hill Hill is a great player, the only problem for him is his injury's luckily for Orlando he is'nt injured. He can shoot the ball on offense well and can play a little defense I think Mobley can certainly match this guy with his good offensive flow if mobley plays like he did agaisnt Memphis grant Hill will get a tough night. the adventage goes to Mobley with10/9

J.R Smith vs. Steve Francis J.R played ok basketball the last game and is playing well the last 2 games but today he's matched against an all time all star. Steve Francis is an extremely atletic player he can do things with the ball even players like MJ cant. If Francis has his sroke going he will crush Smith. the adventage goes to Francis with 10/3

Speedy Claxton vs. Jameer Nelson Jameer is having a lucky time in Orlando being a starter in front of Cristie. I think Nelson is very talented but he can't match the speed of Claxton. I hope claxton is having a good night cause then He cna really beat the hell out of nelson. This adventage goes to Claxton with 10/6

New orleans Hornets vs. Orlando Magic the complete adventage for Orlando is 43/40 I know I can take the win home but trht depends on the matchup between Francis and J.R Smith is smith can contain Francis we can be able to win at home agianst Orlando

Mobley was on fire scoring 41 points he scored 28 in the 2nd half. Next time there will be a recap for the ones who like to read this (no one :? )

Denver Nuggets@New Orleans Hornets

Goal:
Try and win from a talented team like Denver

Matchups
New Orleans Hornets
ImageImageImageImageImage
Orlando Magic
ImageImageImageImageImage

Jamaal Magloire vs. Marcus Camby Magloire is definatly the better offensive player in this matchup but that won't matter much cause Marcus camby is one of the best shotblockers in the league. I saw magloire struggle agianst players who can block so I don't expect much from him today I think the matchup will go in the favor of Camby with 10/7

Chris Andersen vs. Kenyon Martin Andersen showes me things every match.. He is'nt our best offensive PF but defence is his thing rebounds will be grabbed and I hope he can block martin a few times. for the rest is Martin better on everything. this matchup goes to Martin with10/3

J.R Smith vs. Carmelo Anthony Anthony is a good player, he can make the needed drives but he can also shoot the basketball. Smith is having a good first 3 games I know he can score on anthony but I think he can't defend melo. J.R Is good believe me but defense is not his trademark this matchup goes to MeloMen with10/5

Cuttino Mobley vs. Voshon Lenard After scoring 30 and 41 in the last 2 games I really think Mobley can do everything. you all know what he's capable of so need to explane. Lenard is a good complemetary player who can score from the 3 point line but believe me he's no match for Mobley this adventage goes to mobley with10/3

Speedy Claxton vs. Andre Miller Miller can do good things with the ball and also can Speedy but I think the length will make the differance Speedy is like 5'10 and Miller is somewhere in the 6'2 so I think Miller is going to get some blocks agianst Claxton so that's the reason this matchup goes to Miller with10/5

New orleans Hornets vs. Denver Nuggets the complete adventage for Denver is 43/30 The matchups between Smith and Melo are gonna be very important to seal the win. I know we cna win but then we need to defend good on MeloMen

Topscorers:
POINTS Mobley 37 Martin 30
REBOUNDS Magloire 10 Martin 14
ASSISTS Claxton 5 Miller 7

Today was a home game I really wanted to win because I would come to the nice streak of 3 in a row wins. Mobley was my go to guy and I hoped magloire could do a little two. In the 1st mobley was very cold and J.r Smith tried to take over scoring 6 points in the 1st. from denver Martin was hot and he scored every ball he got in the paint. in the 2nd I put magloire on martin and he did'nt score that much anymore. Mobley shot better scoring 9 in the 1st half. In the 2nd it wqas a battle between mobley and Martin. Kenyon scored 14 in the half while Mobley sinkd 28 in the 2nd half. Because of mobley and a little help of the bench from Nacbar and Jacobsen who combined for 5 3's in a row we could break the run of the nuggets and come back to 6 points differance. In the last 10 seconds we were behind by 2. we got the ball and brought it to mobley he scored a 3 with only 2 seconds on the shotclock with 5 on the gamwclock the nuggets got a ball bringing it to Martin and he scored brining a 1 point lead to the nuggets I've got 2,3 secs left and took a timeout and brought the ball directly to Mobley who got the screen en scored a 2 ball. and we won the game :D

he was cold the 1st quarter but coming back with 28 points in the 2nd half was enoughj for the fans to pick him as player of the game.
