v1.11 released...

Postby Andrew on Sat Apr 23, 2005 3:51 pm

Andrew wrote:In preparation for the 2005 NBA Playoffs, I have released a new version (1.11) of the current roster update for NBA Live 2005. You can download the latest update here.

Key features of v1.11:
- 2004/2005 Rosters updated through April 22nd, 2005
- 2005 Playoffs Rosters
- Player ratings updated
- Depth charts updated
- Coaches updated
- New teamgear.dbf update by Mikki added
- Missing player cyberfaces by [lob]-shy added

Please note that due to the addition of [lob]-shy's cyberfaces, the update is now quite a large download, approximately 3.65 MB.

I haven't updated the opening night version yet, that would have delayed the release another day or so while I reverted the rosters from the current ones or manually updated the appearance.dbf and players.dbf files for 0405Opening to add the missing faces.

New Legends are also coming sometime in the near future, this update however was just for the missing faces, playoff rosters and some corrections. I didn't make as many ratings updates for this version, I'll probably make more of those in the next update.

Amazing update A, like always!!
All rosters are perfect, and the teamgear.dbf is better than ever.

The only little details I could find is that there are some blank portraits, some guys in NY, and the only player with a "default shady picture" is Andrés Nocioni!!! Just the guy I wanted to have a portrait...

Well that's one trivial detail, I can still play, just wanted to point it out. :P

Thanks for your hard work on the update!! (Y) (Y) (Y)

Yeah, not all of the missing player updates include portrait files so some of those guys have a blank portrait - for some reason, the game doesn't default to the "No Portrait" portrait in NBA Live 2005.

Glad you like it guys. (Y)

Legends are on the to-do list, but updating the rosters and fixing active players are the main priorities. There's less to do at this time of the year (mostly lineup changes and those are quick), so I'm sure I'll be able to add a couple during the playoff updates.

wow andrew your rosters are always great. but there are two things you could check
Firstly you should correct the contract lenght. Penny has 2 years left, Hill 3y, Redd wil be a free agent, brezec has signed a ontract expansion and duhon will be a free agent this summer too, just two name a few... . Just look at hoopshype.com for informations

Secondly please change the destiny fields, e.g. Curry&Chandler should get a 2,Bonner at least 3(and not 8), Reggie Mller should go up to 6 or 7 because he will retire

James Jones: He's a jump shooter and an athlete. Not much of a slasher, but a good player. Best part of his game is his jump shot (93% of his FGA are jump shots, he makes them at 65%). Good elevation too.

FG to 76.
3 pt to 72 (almost 1 per game at 39%).
DAware to 56.
Speed and quick to mid-low 70s.
Jumping to 70.
Hardiness to 45.
Range to 25.
Fatigue down to 37.

Jannero Pargo: Has always been a good jump shooter, even in LA. I don't have his 3 point stats in front of me right now, but I did see him drain those 3's against the Wizards. FG to 76, 3 pt to 74. Dunking to 0. DAware down to 52. Jumping to 45. Dribbling to 75.

Troy Bell: Inside Scoring down to 40. DReb down to 32. Dribbling up to 74.

Gilbert Arenas: Ball Handling to 78, Quick to 94 (probably quickest first step in league, right there w/AI).

Larry Hughes: FG to 76, DReb to 52 (done a great job on the boards this year, especially in the playoffs), Ball handling to 54, DAware to 71. Hardiness down to 45 (has had his injury problems).

Jared Jeffries: OReb down to 34. Ball handling to 42. Aware to 72, DAware to 74. Quick to mid-60s. Range to 23. Fatigue to 45.

Troy Murphy: DAware down to 44. Inside Scoring down to 43 (almost everything is from the outside). Quickness up to 62.

Kirk Hinrich is a wonderful defender. DAware to 72.

As is Luol Deng. DAware to 70. Inside Scoring down to 52. Hardiness down to 50.

Duhon is another stud on defense. DAware to 74.

Nocioni is also very good at defense. DAware to 75.

On the other hand, Antonio Davis has definitely lost a bit. Dunking down to 60, DReb down 5 pts to 77, inside scoring down to 67 (always been a jump shooting big man), DAware down to 77, Jumping down to 40, Hardiness to 60. Blocking up to 50. He is best for his leadership, but unfortunately, that cannot be reflected in the game.

can you do something about jason terry socks? if you put him on the Orlando magic and are the away team he has black socks and white shoes, which looks really weird. Can you make his socks white all the time? or maybe change the magics away sock color to white. Not really sure what you could do, but black socks dont look good.
This sig was too offensive for the kids.

Why as Martin Kidd Okafor are in the teamnum38(Referee)?

Why Gervin in the Legends Pool has Dunk 99 but in the 80`s has 0?
Why Pippen in the Legends Pool has DunkPack 9 but in the 90`s has 15(BUG)?
There are so many BUGs in Legends Pool and All-Stars, hope these can be fixed :?

Those three occurrences of those players in the dbf are the ones from the default East All-Stars and Rookie All-Stars teams. I've moved them to team 38 so they don't appear on those teams - you'll notice similar changes for other players on default All-Star teams who were not there this year. You'll also notice that those players show up on their regular teams without any problems.

In trying to keep the current rosters up to date and the active player's ratings a priority, I haven't paid as much attention to the Legends and All-Decade teams - there are no problems whatsoever with the current All-Star rosters.

The problems you mentioned with the All-Decade teams and the Legends Pool are not "bugs" at all - simply oversight, mostly left over from the default rosters that I haven't noticed or been told about before and thus haven't corrected.

of all the pics i have seen of korver, he wears nike. So why change it unless you can make him wear and 1 and his usual nike's.
