as long as there are no refs or officials in acertain event it is not a sport

Bill Simmons had a few rules about sport vs. non-sport. I don't remember all, but here's a few that show it is not a sport. If it requires judges, if you can smoke and drink while doing it, if you don't have to take a shower after, and if the competitors wear collared shirts with their names monogrammed above the breast pocket.

But if it breaks the other rules it is not a sport. It is a competition. This means that osmething like skateboarding in a vert ramp is not a sport, it is a competition. Human error deciding who wins just nullfies it, IMO.
