College Part III

Im graduating High school this year, Im choosing between Butler and Fordham.

Are they both in Indiana (I'll be shocked if they're not)? Why not just go to Indiana University or Purdue?

I was considering majoring in Bio Sci, but after taking the first Chem class, I'm really considering changing my mind and dropping all the chem and bio classes
I might wind up majoring in studio art

this might sound stupid, but im really considering in going to acting since nothing appeals to me right now, except for the idea of acting.. except i've never acted before, but im pretty sure i can do it

finding a job's not going to be easy when you're going to take up acting

I would like to become a psychiatrist.

Because Indianapolis is not my top priority, Fordahm is in NYC, which is where i have wanted to live for my whole life. Butler is in Indianapolis. They both have good journalism departments and i hope to go to become a writer for the Pacers.

psychology was actually an interest of mine before. i was actually looking forward to visiting a nuthouse (hmm that was insensitive ) for community service. boy, were the movies so wrong. that place was really a circus. maybe it was because it was just a charity place that made due with donations. it was run by priests i think. but man that place was crazy (no pun intended)

My friend's mom is a pshychiatrist, and she knows I love the subject, so she took me one time to the Psyke Hospital here.

You're so right, the movies are SO wrong! In them, the place is usually hysterical, everyone yelling crazy stuff wearing gowns and shit like that.
In real life, it is a surprisingly quiet place.
MOST of the patients wear street clothes and the "lock out" part is really separated from the "roam around" part of the building.
In the "lock out" part I got a little uncomfortable because those guys were REALLY dangerous looking, but I guess you get the hang of it with experience, of course.

I found my experience there very interesting and I look forward to going again. You can learn a lot about human nature from mentally ill individuals.

most of the patients in the place i went to were druggies at some point in their lives. they were nice. except i saw one who was sitting down on the floor totally naked. creepy. it kinda smells as well. and since it's an all-male facility. the caretaker(or whatever you call him) told as that there are some rape incidents going on from time to time. what was really creepy was the moment we went it they was a guy who was being hosed down coz he went hysterical. he was screaming like hell

and yours is one of the best in Australia

I'd say 5th in the Big West Conference is a shite load better than 1st out of Australian Universities....I've seen and played against top Aussie and Kiwi uni guys (although granted it was a few years ago now) and whilst they're pretty good, I'd say there is a huge gap between them and a Division 1 college program, even if it's only good enough for 5th in the Big West

Which basically means any team ranked in the top 100 in the USA is better than Matts uni.

probably, since no one really hear takes basketball that seriously, it's a whole different story in the US. I bet out SBL teams (pretty much the NBDL of the NBA) are better than the best Uni in Aus.

Time to update this ho.....just finished an assignment which i started today. its a HUGE pile of shit...literary diaorhea....i failed but dont care. Been working on it for nearly 12 hrs straight so fuck it, im ready to hand it up....time to watch TV
