Try doing those pushups where you're going 3 seconds down with your arms relatively spread apart.
Those focus more on the outer chest muscles. One should probably rotate doing pushups with his/her hands at inside/regular/outside position...

Don't inside pushups focus more on triceps?

No beef intended.
remember last year I did about 50 in 45 seconds, but then could only get 5 in the last 20.
To do pushups right , it should take you at least 1.5 seconds for each repetition...
We were being timed for a minute. I do them slow now.
And on abs, is it possible to still get good abs while eating pretty much what you want?
Only in Utopia... or if your metabolism rate is such that allows you to do it. But if it were so, you would not be out of shape now...
Well I'm not really out of shape, I think I'm slightly out of shape, but I know I could bust anyone's ass in a real sport in my present shape.

When you are as ripped as me it's hard to find time to work out between banging the hottest chicks on the planet and sleep. But I manage to sneak 4 hours of extensive workout routines. I bench about 550lbs and I can squat about 600lbs.
But, I'm done bragging because my 4 girlfriends who are shaved are calling my name.

Yes, they do. But they also work the inner chest more than the regular pushups

i know a lot of routines to take it out but i was hoping on a 2 week fat reducing program just in time for a big event........
well any tips will do guys.pls help me lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks in the abdomen area

just to add adside from the abs excercises... for cardio, which you should probably do 6 times a week if you are really trying to shred up quickly... try interval exercises: sprint for 1 minute then walk for 1 or 2 mins. then repeat for at least 20 minutes total. you can do the same biking/on a stationary bike.
the key here is to get the heart rate pumping to 75-85% of your target heart rate zone.

I get good results. To me, the most cut person ever to walk the earth was not Arnold Swargenegger (I have no idea how to spell that), but BRUCE LEE. There was one movie he was in, I forgot the name (it was about him saving a restaurant that was being harrased my mobsters).
They showed him flexing w/o his shirt on, and it was CRAZY. He stretched out his back, and his chest did a V, no joke. I also saw a tape of him doing
3-FINGER
push-ups EASILY. This man was an animal...
Anyway, I don't lift weights b/c I don't want to be big like a Tyson- kind of look, but I want to be small but strong like Bruce Lee. So for this goal, my results are good. I'm a little bulkier than Bruce (I'm Italian & he's Chinese, to be stereotypical), but
not nearly as cut & defined, or strong, for that matter. I can only dream about 3-finger pushups...

That's a really good way to do it. A more intense variant is HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). The difference is, with HIIT, you sprint for 30 seconds then walk for 30 seconds, then repeat the sprinting/walk cycle for another 2-3 times. Every two weeks, you add another cycle in. This is probably the shortest workout and one of the fastest ways to get shredded fast. Not recommended for beginners!

I believe even Bruce Lee did some lifts to get in that shape. Muscles that are cut and still protrude are not the result of cardio and martial training. There are weight lifting routines that are devoted to that specific goal. Try100 straight barbell curls (biceps ) and see your biceps get definition in the long run.
A common misconception amongs beginners is that weight-lifting's sole purpose is to make men bulky and bodybuilders. This is not the case. With different variations and schedules in lifting, cardio, and nutrition , you can get a great variety of results, depending on your bodytype, metabolism rate, etc...

That is correct. Beginners can start with a cycle of 20sec sprinting and 40 sec walking/jogging... It can also take place on a training cycle or gazelle-type equipment...

Is 12 to early to lift weights? I've been using free weights for a few months, mostly just bicep excersizes, and sit ups with weights.

You're young enough to lift weights, but take precaution if you have never lifted weights before. Start slow and make sure you don't overdo it, as you might be liable for injury. I always encourage to stretch before and after a workout for both better gains, flexibility, and resistance to injury.

just don't overdo it doing exercises that pressure the spine vertically, like , say, clean&jerk motions( like Olympic Weight-lifters do ), cause it may hinder your height development. Didn't you ever wonder why all those lifters are so short?

he da man!!!!!!!
anyways bruce did lift weights...and he has a super secret diet to go along with it..
i used to be near his physic ones......i was stone cold in the arms and the chest...and i was thin i guess it's because of the running and conditioning i get from being a soccer player.....but after my soccer days i developed a tiny bulge in the abdomen area...which now evolved into a donkey baloon....in other words there are fats down there.....guess too much dating and eating fine dining takes its toll right? and i left the gym for 3 months now.......

Lets say I stand up and do arm curls with two dunbells. That won't hinder my growth will it? I heard that weight lifting while standing would stunt your growth but I'm willing to try right now.. (16).
What would be the best exercise to do (keep in mind all I really got is a couple little dunbells

) to get some nice looking biceps?

No problem here. Height growth can only be hindered by lots of weight being lifted.

If the weights you have are light, then do dumbbell curls you mentioned before, or do them sitting on a chair, it's pretty much the same. Make a lot of repetitions, say 40 - 50, when you've gotten tha hang of it. This would tone and trim your biceps. I would advise you to go with some pushups as well, because at the beginner stage they work out the entire torso very well. And don't forget some ab crunches to go along.

I might give this one a go, sounds do-able. I tried plyometrics the other day and fucked up my left knee within 30 seconds so that one will have to wait for a while
As far as doing weights and whatever at an early age, Dweaver's right it can seriously stunt your growth. I remember when I was 12 or 13 I wanted to join the local gym and it wasn't until I showed them a medical certificate saying it wouldn't harm me at all that they would let me do it. Although I was like 5'11 to 6" at the time and now at 19 I'm only 6'4 or 6'5, so I'm guessing it wasn't the wisest choice

Lol nope, those ring grab things. I got a bit cocky and started jumping high enough to touch the back of the ring, where it connects to the backboard. The extra effort killed me

I've got a game tonight too.

goodluck in yer game

get a dunk for me ok?
anyways i have been running now since this morning to get the lards off my PAD......will putting weights strap in your ankle help increase the chances of losing these lards off fast? or will it bulk up my butt? thats what my gym master use to say..i know he's an urban legend type of guy.so i dont trust him.......any light into this?
