Strange bug that has only happened to me once... I took a jumpshot and the opposing CPU controlled team *blocked* the rebound. The announcers even said it was a block.

the fact that in dynasty mode, after the first season you cannot do the three point challenge, so 2nd season onwards, anyone else have this problem? i think it has something to do with the change of court, as in 2005/06 it isnt in denver so it goes back to the original court.

tell me your thoughts

The Slam Dunk Contest is full with audio bugs ...

- Why is it more exciting when a player throws the ball off the shot clock the 5th time, while missing 4 before that, than it is the first time he attempts the toss?

- Not enought recognition off tosses. I made the springboard followed by windmill ... "this is not a dunk contest dunk, it's pretty average" ..

- Sometimes Kenny speakes against himself .. During the replays he's praising the dunk and then when the score comes ... "i din't feel that, you've gotta try harder than that" ..

Hey! Me too!! :D I thought I was the only one who had this bug! The game crashed every time I tried to play 3-point shootout in my 2nd season. Maybe it has something to do with the detail settings. I set it to low (haven't upgraded my graphics card). How about you?

Here's a big head pic for those who wanted one. (Sorry if it's a little big.)

Denver vs. Atlanta in a dynasty playoff game. That head is on the Denver bench. Restarting the game did not fix it. This is the first time I've seen this happen. Seems to be random, but once it happens in a game, you're stuck with it in that particular game. *shrugs*

The CPU double dribbles and gets away with it. It's done it to me three times already and I figured I'd take pictures of it. (Sorry that the pictures are kinda big)

Image
Sam Cassell is dribbling and is about to stop. (Not to mention he's stepping out of bounds)

Image
Now he's stopped and doing some freestyle things and whatnot.

Image
And just like that, he's off again. (He ended up passing the ball to Wally Szczerbiak who drained a 3)

Try it. Just make the CPU pick up his dribble.

These are some of the bugs that i have noticed when playing Live 2k5.

1. Player being pushed out of bounds
2. Center or PF going for a dunk and defender jumps at the same time- no block, no dunk, no foul and the ball lands on the ground. It annoys me when i use shaq and he doesnt score.
3. CPU controlled player double dribbles. I've noticed that the CPU tends to stop dribbling and then start dribbling again when confronted by the defence.
4. Creating a player doesnt show the overall rating.
5. Ball handler jumping straight into player on defence when in-bounding the ball and then not catching the ball.
6. When picking off an in-bound pass its not recorded as a steal.
7. When using Rasual Butler marv call him as "Cardinal".
8. Instant replay only records 1 micro second of action.

During a game I alley-opped the ball to a player right next to the basket, the ball hit the rim then the player intended to recieve the ball caught it.(happened almost at the same time) At that point the shot clock got stuck at 4 seconds and never changed until the end of the possession.

gameplay problems

dunno wtf that was....was gonna win too :(
might be a bug..but its only happened once...so i'll just say it was an anomaly of my computer

My PC freezes, it'd happened just once in season mode in my first 10 games... and in my 13-th season game once it froze 1 minute before end (when I was leading 101-70+) and after restart it freezes again and again...in 1st qtr :(
My game is not patched...any suggestions
...later will try the same savegame on other PC, but I'm almost sure it's not the cause of problems...all other games are running witout any problems at all

open players (near the basket) sometimes jump to dunk and hold the ball above the rim an extra long time to help and deffenders will block it. Or they jump out of bounds with there arm passing through the backboard. Also a lot of time a player will be in a good spot to recieve a pass, but when you pass to him, he will jump out of position to catch the ball. This is especially annoying when you have a good inside scoring player setup in the paint. I have even had player jump out of bounds to catch a pass.(auto turn over)

If you in-bound to your backcourt after a cpu backcourt violation, you get a backcourt violation yourself even though the inbounder is straddling the 50.

This happens in real life, its to do with the quality of the passer and the post-up defender. To provide a safe pass the passer sometimes lead passes you away from the basket somewhat. They really should leave that in.

Do you have vsync turned off? While it boosts performance in most cases when turned off it can cause the "visual tearing effect" that is what you see here. Its drawing a frame even when the pervious frame hasn't finished so you see part of a frame on top of another one. Someone previously posted about stuck shawdows, same deal. Make sure its on, unless you really need the boost.

Anyone ever had the wrong team get the ball after an intentional foul? I intentional fouled my brother when I was down one, and I got the ball, they I inbounded to Bobby Simmons and made the jumpshot with 0.2 seconds left on the clock, it was cheap, but I won

Just the general physics of the players feet is really bad. They can step on the three-point line and get three points, they can step out of bounds and not get called for it. This is really annoying, especially when it decides games (buzzer-threes with feet on the line have happened to me).

Superstar game mode

Postby tituspan on Sat May 21, 2005 3:42 am

I am not sure if that's a bug or it's intentional.
The computer seems to "fix" the game when I got a lead of 10 points or more in superstar mode against computer AI. Every time when I got a lead of 10 points or more. I start missing shots (once, I missed 5 consecutive dunks! and they are wide open dunks and layups) and the computer will slowly retake the lead. I am not sure if you can call this fixing a game. But everytime I got a big lead in 1st quarter. I will be in a shooting slump (say 30 - 40% FG) and computer will be hitting 60-70%. This annoys the hell out of me. (I tried playing for 50 games and I can only blow out one team once, all others have been close wins or close loses because when I got a 10+ points lead in the last 2 mins. Computer start hitting 3s like crazy) It's not even fun when you know what is coming. (eg. I got a lead of 11 pts. I would say to myself, okay. I am going miss shot until the computer catches me.) This happens vice versa. Are they trying to make the game more dramatic. but all i felt is expected sequence of 10 pts lead, tied, 10pts lead, tied....u know.
Anyone tried it?
