Mainly because people seem to be more encouraged to bag people now because of this BurnOTW award... maybe if you awared people for making calls, just saying generally funny stuff... it would be better? Up to you.

Back to Jackal, despite his retirement he still couldn't escape his critics. That spammer from .org returned just to say goodbye, and alexboom took it upon himself to decide it was a good idea for le Jackale to take le break because he le flames too much'e. Apparentely.

My post wasn't mean or nasty. I think that Jackal flames a lot, and it started getting too much lately. In a lot of places he would have been labelled as a troll. Damn, it's just basketball here, we're not on a politics forum.

Now when Jackal's flamming it's not that important, but I regret sometimes that when a tool is pulling a lankyman and going awol, Jackal immediately shows up and flames. It seems that he can't help flamming. The flame war can become funny, but many times it just fucks up a good thread into a flame where each other is throwing childish remarks, for the sake of "burning".
I'm also pretty amazed by his aggressive attitude, I still can't understand how he managed to fed up with Andrew, probably the nicest person on Earth (I'm not licking Andrew's ass, I also regret that Andrew's too nice once in a while)

For me, it was a good thing that Jackal took a break, I wanted to tell him that, and certainly not in order to brag myself, as you implied.

That doesn't mean I don't like Jackal (in spite of his angry attitude, he brings a lot to the forum), but in my opinion he'd better shut up and calm down sometimes, and that point of view doesn't make me a peace maker.
