cause u play wit 29 fatigue thats nothing thats like playin wit 0

not to mention y is ur reach in 9? that means u can reach in again and again and again and again and again and again without getting a foul called. thats not realistic

other then ur strange sliders it looks good, especially the box scores thats awesome (Y)

personally i hav fatigue at 55 and reach in at 70. i play 8 min quarters and no1 ever gets in foul trouble. wit 70 reach in, that means that i can go for a steal but watch out for the foul. in real nba, refs call almost every attempt to reach in even if theres no contact... ur choice tho. i jus hate havin games where teams get 15+ steals

EVERYTIME (not exagerating) i go for a short range or medium range shot it NEVER goes on so i turned up the short and medium range shots in the sliders cause i kno the blazers dont miss every freakin short/medium range shot they take in real life

really? thats weird it might depend on the players. wen i play wit good shooters like marion and kobe in my dynasty... the short/mid range shot is their bread and butter. wen i say short/mid range i mean the shot thats pretty close, but not the big man inside shot. the release is a regular FG shot... even small guys who arent great shooters like tony parker nail those for me...

the 1 thing in thsi game that pisses me off is that everything has a reason, and is very methodical. wat i mean is that if i call for a pick in the middle of a chaotic bundle of players, and i go around it and shoot... even tho im open, theres a guy a couple feet away wit his hand in the air. my shot will ALWAYS miss if i take it... even tho my guy is open. its like the AI can sense a computer player jumping in my face, so im not allowed to hit it. another example is if i giv it to marion downlow on the block. if he turns and shoots, but the comp had called to switch defenders... and lets say chris anderson came running to guard marion, and if i shoot it, i miss every time. i miss even tho anderson isnt there in time to guard me. however if pj brown was behind and guarding marion the entire time, then marion ALWAYS hits it. its jus annoying cause its not realistic. if u kno how to score, u can score easily

I drafted this guy who was projected to late in the first quarter with good potential and I tried him out and had to have him. He has 87 field goals and 84 on three... The man can shoot. And he was 6'7" tall too... Kind of reminded me of a one they call Reggie Miller. A real steal and all the teams wanted him, but I kept him as he was my steal... My player... But anyway to my point...

Guys with high field goal ratings can hit the fade away jumper pretty easily, so you should try for those if you see a guy coming. I just scored 40 with him in one game and most of them were threes and fade aways. Had 29 at the half... Then started sharing the ball more... As the AI started to guard him more carefully.

I can't wait to see how he develops during the years... He's overall 63 or 64 can't remember in his rookie season and he was projected Late first round... Talk about a steal...

Blazers lose first 3 games

After losing their home opener, the Portland Trailblazers have dropped their last 2, making their record a disappointing 0-3. Not a good way to start off the season. Mo Cheeks admits his team is still rebuilding and hes going to do whatever it takes to win games this season, whether its doing a trade, signing free agents or releasing players.

Blazers got dominated by San Antonio in the season opener and then went on the road to lose to Indiana. They then traveled to Canada to face the Raptors. Portland led several times in that game but the Raptors escaped with a close win.

Joel Pryzbilla pulled down 10 rebounds, his season average and had 8 points and 5 blocks in 28 minutes of action. Cheeks has been impressed with Joel's play this season and the previous off-season, which is why he chose to put him in the starting lineup. Darius Miles had another solid game for Portland shooting 11 of 17 from the field with 23 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks in 30 minutes. Miles is another guy Cheeks said he has been impressed with and hopes he can continue his solid play in the future.

Jalen Rose was in the spotlight for Toronto with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Portland shot 42% from the field and 82% from the charity stripe, but wasnt enough to get the win. The Trailblazers host the Magic next on December 3rd.

same problem that i had before. Probably cause of the height difference. One thing though, when i traded him, he turned out to be the scoring leader. And we missed his speed. :(

Actually, this os an AI glitch sort of thing.

The AI has to consider whether a shot in being contested or not, and the degree of added difficulty that it imposes on the shooting player.

If you shoot with a 6' 9" SG or SF you can have the defender's hand really close to the ball and the CPU will not consider it contested enough to miss. On the other hand, if you are shooting with ,let's say, Mighty Mouse, The defender can be 5 feet away and the comp will treat the shot as contested therefore radically reducing its' chances of going in

Weird, I know, but this is how this game treats its shots... :?

Trail Blazers beat Magic for Win number 1

Portland 117 Orlando 102

Recap: | Box Score

Mo Cheeks finally did what he said he wanted to do: Win. Shareef Abdur-Rahim came off the bench and had a strong performance going 13 of 15 from the field with 29 points and 6 rebounds. Darius Miles fouled out late in the 4th quarter and finished with 24 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. Cheeks said he was impressed with his team tonight and hopes they dont let up and lose more games. Portland went on several scroring runs throughout the game and the game seemed to be sealed with abot 5 minutes left in the 4th.

Image

Portland shot a very impressive 54% from the field and 70% from the free throw line. Orlando shot only 42% from the field and 71% from the charity stripe. Kelvin Cato had a game high 16 boards and also had 4 blocks. Dwight Howard pulled off a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Several Magic players had good games but it wasnt enough to stop the red hot Trail Blazers.

Mo Cheeks has annouced after the game that Shareef Abdur-Rahim will be in the starting lineup. This is no suprise as Shareef had a great game off the bench. This will mean less minutes for Theo Ratliff. Expect more good performances from 'Reef.

Notes:

Center Joel Pryzbilla injured his arm in the 3rd quarter and sat out for a little after returning in the 4th. He had 8 rebounds, 2 blocks and only 2 points. It was a good game for the injured player. Pryzbilla will play Monday when The Blazers host the Memphis Grizzlies (6-4) on December 6th.

Blazers upset Grizzlies in Triple OT classic shootout

Blazers 176, Grizzlies 171

Image

Recap: | Box Score

Memphis was a strong favorite to win this game against Portland. And that was the Blazers motivation to pull off a big upset against Memphis.

This game was no doubt a huge comeback for the Blazers and the best game they have played in a long while. They seemed to let the game slip away before the half as they were down by 15 at halftime. But in the 3rd quarter Portland came back to tie the game at 80 with 3:15 left. Damon Stoudamire hit 2 free throws to give Portland their first lead since the opening minutes of the game. The Blazers took another 2 pt lead after Theo Ratliff blocked a Paul Gasol shot and Nick Van Exel made a layup to make it 88-86. Nick Van Exel ended the 3rd quarter with a mid range jumper and the Blazers led 92-91.

With 1:23 left in the 4th quarter, starting PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim got injured and didnt return. It was later learned he had a broken nose that would take 3 weeks to recover. The Blazers were down 119-111 when Shareef left the game and they seemed to be losing another game. But Portland managed to come back a couple of intentional fouls and missed Memphis free throws later. When Portland was down 123-120 Mike Miller was at the free throw line and missed both of them. Memphis got the offensive rebound but the ball was stolen by Joel Pryzbilla and he passed to Damon Stoudamire who sank the tying 3 pointer with 2.4 seconds left. When Memphis tried to pass it in it was stolen by Darius Miles and the clock ran down as the game went into OT.

OT 1

Memphis and Portland were hittin shots back-to-back for most of the overtime. With 24 seconds left in the OT, Zach Randolph tied the game 135-135 with a layup. James Posey then failed to make a 3 pointer and the game went into Double Overtime. Darius Miles scored 8 points in the overtime and Zach Randolph and Joel Prybilla both had 2 points.

Image

OT 2

In the 2nd OT, Portland was down by as much as 7 but quicky tied it back up after a Darius Miles layup and made it 152-152 with 40.2 seconds remaining. Lorenzen Wright gave Memphis a 2 point lead but again Darius Miles tied it up with a dunk. Jason Williams failed to hit a 3 and the game went into Triple OT.

OT 3

The Blazers were up 169-168 near the end of the 3rd overtime when Darius Miles stole the ball and passed it to Nick Van Exel who hit a 3 pointer with 13.2 seconds left making it 172-168. Memphis came back and hit a 3 pointer to come within 1 again. Van Exel was then intentionally fouled and hit both free throws with 7.1 seconds left. When Memphis got possession again, Mike Miller aired a 3 point attemp and Zach Randolph got the rebound and was intentionally fouled. He hit both free throws then time ran out as the Blazers upset Memphis 176-171.

Darius Miles had 21 points in the overtimes and 39 points overall. He recorded a double-double and also had 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and was named Player of the Game. The Blazers are now on a 2 game winning streak after losing their first 3. The Blazers are now 2-3.

The Blazers head out on the road on the 12th to face Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets (4-6).

PORTLAND (AP) -- Yahoo! Sports has learned that starting PF of the Portland Trailblazers Shareef Abdur-Rahim will be available for Sundays game against the Rockets. Trainers have said he will be wearing a protective mask for 3 weeks until his broken nose heals. 'Sheef said he hopes this wont affect his game play as he is one of Portlands key offensive weapons.

Blazers fall short against Yao and the Rockets

Rockets 130, Blazers 125

Damon Stoudamire dished out 9 assists and had 21 points but it still wasnt enough to lead the Blazers over the Rockets. Portland had a double-digit lead early in the game but let it slip away after the half. Zach Randolph led the blazers in scoring off the bench with 31 points and also grabbed 7 rebounds and going 15 of 19 from the field. Darius Miles had a mediocre performace with 20 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim was playing with a broken nose and injured it again in the 3rd quarter and he did not return. Zach Randolph filled in for him for the remainder of the game.

For Houston, Yao Ming had a monster game going 18 of 24 from the field with 39 points and 18 rebounds. Tracy McGrady shot 11 of 28 from the field with 31 points and 2 rebounds.

News:

The Trailblazers have put Shareef Abdur on the injured list because they dont want to risk further injury on his broken nose after injurying it again in the game against Houston. Mo Cheeks said Shareef might return for the December 26 game against the Miami Heat. Zach Randolph will start in his place.

(I updated the main post with starting lineup changes and stats info)
