Nice mods, nice work. Not much to say, I know. Piss off.

Much-o appreciated btw.

Sorry I haven't added any mods recently, but I've been working on the NBA Live 2005 roster patch. I start back at work tomorrow, but as I have Thursdays off I'll be back to catch up on site work.

Is there any way to make this optional on our "Profile"? I don't mind if my forum layout gets screwed up. It's a hassle trying to look at patch screenshot and have it automatically resized to as smaller portion.

It's not a big deal, but I think it might be helpful if you let people decide whether this want this or not by having an option button on their profiles.

It won't really save bandwidth because the original picture is being downloaded on anyway.

Unfortunately not, the mod doesn't have that feature. However, you can click on the resized screenshot and it will open the image at its original size in a new window.

Alright, I never knew that. (Y)

You will notice a couple of extra options in your profile: You may now disable signatures/signatures with images only and avatars if you wish to cut down on forum loading times.

Sweet. 8-)

One problem: it seems to have messed up the Quick Reply function. :( I might have to temporarily restore the backups while I find out what the problem is.

Edit: The problem's still there, so I've restored the mod. I'll have to try and fix the Quick Reply somehow.

Wed Jan 26, 2005 1:38 pm

OK, that mod is now completely messed up, as is the Quick Reply display. For now I've removed it, and will have to find a way to fix it. :furious: Sorry for the inconvenience.

:lol: :lol:

I'd take the Quick-Reply over most other mods any day. (y)

What other mods do you curently have on your to-do list?

Thu Jan 27, 2005 11:20 am

Right now, I'd just like to fix up the problems before adding any more (as it's quite likely we'll have to restore some really old backups and install things such as the Quick Reply again), so I won't be adding any more modifications until that's done. Fortunately, the Quick Reply is still functional, even though it's not displaying correctly.

Thu Jan 27, 2005 2:52 pm

Update: James Chheng has just kindly fixed the problem (it had me stumped) with Quick Reply, and everything else appears to be working fine. Which mods do you feel are the most important/urgent?

Fri Jan 28, 2005 5:09 am

DISABLE SIGS FEATURE :P

Fri Jan 28, 2005 5:15 am

I think the forum would be great if we left it the way it is, but the Happy Anniversary Hack would be cool :P

Fri Jan 28, 2005 4:54 pm

Killer Robots Hack.

It involves the brutal murder of posters people don't particularly like.

Agreed, but the last one I installed messed things up. I'll have to look for a more up to date one, one that's compatible with other mods we've already installed (namely the Quick Reply).

Hellow people, I just realized a little something. It was requested that Andrew install the additional text color mod, it appears that he did install it. We just didn't realize it & he just never seemed to mention it. One little step was skipped orso that's why it doesn't show up in the "Font Colour" drop down list.

Anyways, we can still use this nifty little feature even though it's not in the drop down list yet. I'm assuming he'll return from his vacation & finish installing it. Well, just add the names to the drop down list.

I took a screenie of what the list should look like after one of the forum files is edited, the drop down list will look like this:

Image

Anyways, not a big dillio since the colors are there to be used, even though they aren't in the list. If you want to use any color in paticuliar, just type it in, see the following code:

Code:
[color=darkorchid]Jackal is a dipshit.[/color]

Gives you:

Jackal is a dipshit.

Get it? That's basically all there is to using the new colors. I'm sure it'll be fixed as soon as he returns.

The colors are just the same as the name but in case you guys want it, here goes:

Code:
[color=cadetblue]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=coral]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=crimson]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=tomato]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=seagreen]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=darkorchid]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=chocolate]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=deepbluesky]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=gold]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=gray]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=midnightblue]**Text Here.**[/color]
[color=darkgreen]**Text Here.**[/color]

Gives you:

**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**
**Text Here.**

(Without the bold & size ofcourse, I just did that to accentuate the colors.)

Now get colorful. :twisted:

How nice investigative reporting of you Jackal (Y) Even though the grey one is the only on I'll use, I think it's still a very nice adition to the forum.

By the way, if you haven't noticed it yet, you can also put -dark/-light in front of some colors and it will work as well; Like lightgrey or lightblue for excample.

Sun Feb 06, 2005 6:23 am

Yeah, that's written in the Read Me file if I'm not mistaken, I didn't bother mentioning it since you can hardly see those colors on this background anyways. But yeah, that's also possible. :D

Sun Feb 06, 2005 7:02 am

Let's give it a try...
Jackal is a dipshit. j/k

EDIT: Hehe, it works :P

Homer sucks the monkey's cock.
Homerl sucks the monkey's cock.

Homer sucks the monkey's cock.
Homer sucks the monkey's cock.

EDIT: I'll go with crimson (Y)

EDIT: No, dark blue, it fits the sig better.
