Why is the CPU AI so flawed?

Imagine this, you're leading by 3 points with 10 seconds left in the game. Your opponent has no timeouts left. They inbound the ball and waste the entire 10 seconds without even getting passed half-court. Instead of the CPU using turbo to try a 3-pointer to tie, the player "walks" and shoots a desperation shot from 50 feet.

It's not like I don't want to win, but dramatic endings are exciting.. not this crappy scenario where the opposing team doesn't even try.

A lot of dev time is spent on the marketing features - looks, shoes, licensing, announcers, music etc.

actually stupid is being idiot at times

dats y we humans are superior dat moronic cpu. more over we created their So called intelligence. The CPU has no emotions or can't feel excitement so they can never be dramatic nomatter how well you program them

another scenario,

i was leading by 3 points, 48 seconds left, i melt the clock and with 5 seconds left in my shotclock (that would be 29 seconds left in the game), the AI intentionally foul me giving me another 24 seconds shotclock, if they just play good defense and stop me then they still have 24 seonds oe less to tie the game.

well that how stupid AI and thats in superstar level.

at least now they dont fire up 12 brick three's in a row and grab 11 offensive rebounds in about 29 secods hehehhee
