Keyboard/Gamepad

Postby sparklehorse23 on Wed Dec 29, 2004 1:28 am

I cannot use both the keyboard and the gamepad (Saitek Gaming keyboard + logitech wingman gamepad) at the same time. It is impossible for me to play without being able to do so as my two top trigger buttons must be turbo + post up/face up. That's just how it has to be. Unfortunately, if I can't make the space bar or ctrl or something the direct pass key and actually have it WORK in game, I can't direct pass because only the top trigger buttons allow me to keep moving fluidly and make a direct pass. Grr!

Patch: Allow us to use keyboard + gamepad in conjunction!
(It shows up on the screen as set the way I want, but doesn't work)

.....

use it Together?

Like shoot with the A button on Controller and move around with keyboard?

Thats hilariously stupid for me.... Just extra work... pretty pointless but it fits some peoples needs?

What I like to do is use quick plays with the keyboard (I don't have enough buttons on my gamepad to have all the moves and a bunch of plays bound) or what I REALLY like to do is do everything on the gamepad but have the keyboard's space bar be used for direct pass. That way I can hold down Space bar while I'm playing, very easy to do while holding a gamepad, and direct switch/pass.

I could do it in NBA Live 2000 and it pretty much makes 2005 unplayable for me if I can't do it in 2005. I NEED my top triggers for turbo and face up/post up. That's just beyond dispute. Any of the face buttons are WORTHLESS for direct pass in my opinion because who the hell is dextrous enough to hold down a face button , keep moving, and tap another face button to direct pass?!?
