hey micchy.....i'm not really sure what this meant, because i didn't steal this from anyone......has someone done this before?

i mean besides jae's idea (which i didn't know about- did you tell anyone about it before now, jae?)

I guess you can only do this great stuff on PC. I wish that there's a way of creating your own team and uniforms on PS2 but i guess console players will have to wait for that in the future, if ever. The best we can do in PS2 is to use teams with multiple retro jerseys with different city/team names on them, Like the Spurs, or Houston.
How'd you get Gordon to score that many points? Are those perimeter shots or drives inside? I tried playing with the Bulls before but Gordon was a little bit slow and wasn't a scorer at all.

Great idea Donatello, Cleveland Knights aren't they from Lil Mike ?
Sat Dec 11, 2004 10:13 am
haha i had forgotten about that- in Like Mike it was the LA Knights.
Anyway, I've finished up the team's alternate 'retro' jersey. Here it is...I know it's a bit off, but that's the best I could get it
Sat Dec 11, 2004 11:22 am

Nah I never told anyone, I didn't want to try and build it up if it wasn't gonna happen. I know you wouldn't have stolen the idea from anyone, good luck with it

The NBA returns to Kansas City
(Note for readers- I simmed the first half, and played the second half, that is why the scores from the 3rd and 4th quarter are higher, and the first half commentary is kind of thin, also, this thread is very much NOT 56k-friendly- I apologize to any 56k users.)
Tonight marked the third game of the season for this team- but the first in a new city, new arena, and under a new name-- the Kansas City Knights played the first game in their history tonight. Hale Arena, in the heart of Kansas City, hosted a sell-out crowd and a freechristmas bobble-head giveaway of Knights Point Guard Joshua Carr, a Kansas City native:
And, on to the game.....
First Half:
The Knights and Grizzlies both had trouble starting things up on offense in the first half- neither team was playing particuarly good defense either- they just couldn't get the shots to fall. Grant Hill and Dwight Howard both found themselves with 4 fouls by the end of the first half. I'm sure neither of the teams were particuarly pleased during the halftime break.
Halftime Score:
Knights-37.
Grizzlies- 34
Second Half:
Both teams seemed to have put the dismal first half behind them, and flew out of the gates in the third quarter. Grant Hill jumped right out and scored three possesions in a row for the Knights- he had 11 points in the game, but fouled out with 3:30 remaining in the 4th quarter. Dwight Howard joined the foul out party soon after that.

Losing two of their main guys really didn't help the Knights- who had given up a lead to go down by one with just over a minute remaining. But a pair of 3's by Joshua Carr and some well placed jumpers from Nikoloz Tskitishvili sealed the deal for the Knights- bringing the Kansas City crowd to a deafening roar- looks like the Knights are here to stay. The move to a new venue hasn't seemed to distrupt the potency of this team. The Knights win 105-103, and improve to 3-0.

Play of the game:
A beautiful steal by PG J. Carr:
Player of the Game:
Dwight Howard, Knights (14pts, 11rb, 3blk, 2ast, 1stl)
Kansas City:
Memphis:
Fans in attendance were dazzled by the sights of the Arena's renovation- especially the Knights logo on the bottom of the monitors suspended from the rafters......
Next game:
Washington Wizards

Wow this is pretty cool
This is the Kansas City ABA Team right?
The Silver jerseys are awesome, i see you made them yourself obviously
The bobble head was very humorous

What will be given away next time?
Sat Dec 11, 2004 4:16 pm
yeah nice bobblehead, great first game in the new arena!
Sat Dec 11, 2004 10:52 pm

TRADE!!
With changing times come changing rosters. The Knights have pulled a trade- acquiring Kansas City native Kareem Rush along with Caron Butler from the Los Angeles Lakers. The Knights have parted ways with rookie PF Cody Worley and PG Jameer Nelson. This fills two very big needs for the Lakers- a starting PG in Nelson and a big man in Worley.
Kareem Rush will be suiting up for the Knights next game, versus the Washington Wizards, but Butler's status is unknown- he was very unhappy about being traded AGAIN, especially to a small market like Kansas City. It is certain that Butler will not be playing versus the Wizards, but anything beyond that is still uncertain.
Sun Dec 12, 2004 12:31 pm
oh wow, there goes worley. i don't know about this, you traded a pretty good big man for 2 small guys. and nelson is a good player as well.. but.. if you think this is good, then feel free to do so.
Sun Dec 12, 2004 1:32 pm
Smart idea dude. Looks like it's gonna be one hell of dynasty.

Cody Worley (Wormy10 on NLSC) in his new Lakers uni:
And, Joshua Carr with a slightly altered purple hairdo to match the jersey. The old purple clashed a bit. New headband, too:
Also......I was a bit of an insomniac last night, couldn't get to bed....I played quite a few games last night (5 I think).....would anyone be upset if I skipped the recaps for them? there's an awful lot of screenshots to sort though. I'm guessing no one will care
