Bucks Fall in season Opener

The Bucks opened the season facing the Kings.
The Kings came out extremely strong in the first quarter taking a 22-12 lead, even with C-Webb in foul trouble.
The Bucks played a little better in the 2nd quarter without Michael Redd most of the way coz of foul trouble, C-Webb was also sitting down coz of fouls.
38-31 Kings at the half.
Joe Smith was dominating with 11pnts 7rebs

Third quarter the Bucks came out on a mission with Smith dominating downlow still and Van Horn catching a little fire, also Michael Redd got into a bit of a rythym, we lead by 2pnts at the end of the 3rd 65-63
The 4th quarter was a nailbiter, but Redd started to struggle and Van Horn couldnt get an open shot, and despite Mo Williams creating the Kings were still to much with Peja scoring 15 of his 20 points in the 4th and taking out the game 97-93 to start the season with a win.

Player Of the Game:
Mike Bibby 21pnts 5asts 3rebs 8-24FG's 2-7 3PT's

Bucks Stat Leaders:
Joe Smith 21pnts 12rebs 8-10FG's 5-5FT's
Michael Redd 19pnts 3asts 6-21FG's 1-7 3PT's 5PF's
Keith Van Horn 17pnts 6-17FG's 2-7 3PT's 0rebs???
Toni Kukoc 11pnts 9rebs

Mo Williams had 2pnts but 9asts 4rebs and 0TO's
Desmond Mason had only 4pnts 3rebs in 22mins 2-8FG's

We face the Orlando Magic next, lets hope Redd and Van Horn can get there shooting rythym back.

A couple of games to report here.

Bucks vs Magic

98-89 L

The Bucks lose there 2nd in a row against a surprising Magic side, Hedo Turkoglu was on fire off the bench for the Magic and Francis was impossible to guard.
Redd was the only player in double figures for the Bucks as he posted 32pnts on 12-25 shooting in which 8-15 were from downtown.

I lost my stats to this one ,so ireally cant remember the other stats.

Chicago Bulls @ Milwaukee Bucks

103-110 W

Two of the youngest teams in the NBA faced off in a great battle but the Bucks came out the winners.
The games quarter by quarter scores of 23-23, 29-29, 23-29, 28-29 show how close and competitive it really was.
The Bucks finally got a good game out of Keith Van Horn as he posted 27pnts on 9-15 shooting.
Redd also continued his excellent play posting 31pnts 6asts 4rebs 12-23 shooting.
The Bucks got a great effort from there bench also, and Desmond Mason looked to have a solid game before leaving with an injured leg, update on his status to follow.
The Bucks bench put up 34pnts to the Bulls 18.
Kirk Hinrich had 24pnts 11asts for the Bulls and was well assisted by Luol Dengs 22.

Player of the Game:

Michael Redd 31pnts 6asts 4rebs 33mins 12-23FG's 3-8 3PT's 4-4FT's

Bucks Leaders:
Keith Van Horn 27pnts 2rebs 3asts 9-15FG's 3-6 3PT's 6-6FT's
Mike James 11pnts 5asts 4stls 21mins 3-4FG's 1-2 3PT's 4-4FT's
Toni Kukoc 8pnts 8rebs 3-8FG's
Joe Smith 6pnts 15rebs 2blks 3-10FG's
Dan Gadzuric 6pnts 13rebs 2blks 3-4FG's

Milwaukee Bucks Injury update:

Desmond Mason:
Sprained Toe, injured on 11/12/2004 V Bulls, 3 Weeks

Marcus Fizer:
Bone Spur in his Ankle, injured on 11/10/2004 V Magic, 2 Weeks

We face off against the Balzers next.

Projected starting Lineups:

Theo Ratliff Vs Dan Gadzuric
Similar type of players, but Theos leadership and better Defensive awareness gives the Blazers the edge.

Zach Randolph Vs Joe Smith
You cant deny Randolphs talent and awesome Offensive abilites, Smith has the expierence, but once again an advantage to Blazers.

Shareef Abdur-Rahm Vs Keith Van Horn
An interesting mathcup, Reef will dominate Keith downlow, but Keiths outside game will complicate things for Reef who is already playing out of position. Keith had a solid game against the Bulls but this matchup is to hard to give an advantage, this ones evens.

Darius Miles Vs Michael Redd
Is there any question in this matchup, with Redd hitting 32 and 31 in the last 2 games and shooting well, Redd should win this matchup, Darius is long and if he comes to play defense could trouble Redd, but either way, the Bucks have the advantage.

Derek Anderson Vs Maurice Williams
Mo Will has been a little dissapointing so far this season, so this could be a breakout game for him, but Dereks been in the game 7 years now and has taken the PG role wiht open arms, I cant see the Bucks getting an advantage in this one, so this goes to the Blazers.

Blazers Bench Vs Bucks Bench
Van Exel,Stoudamire,Patterson,Woods,Telfair vs an injury depleted Bucks bench of Kukoc,James. Blazers advantage here.
Strickland and Pachulia will have to step up here tonight.

Milwaukee outscored by 12 in final quarter to drop to 1-3.

The Blazers came out extremeley strong in this one, and if it wasnt for Redd and Van Horn, this game probably would've been over by halftime.
21-13 was the quarter time score, but a 35-22 second quarter for the Bucks gave them a handy 5 point lead at the half.
Reef,Randolph and Anderson continued to lead the Blazers though as the Blazers outscored the Bucks 31-27 in the 3rd, but still, followed by strong play from Redd,Van Horn and the Bucks bench, the Bucks still held the lead.

The 4th was a different story, The Bucks couldnt hit anything, Redd and KVH of course made things close but it was enough as Reef took over and lead the Blazers to a 101-90 victory.

Player Of the Game:
Shareef Abdur Rahim 20pnts 6rebs 4asts 3stls 10-15FG's

Bucks Leaders:
Michael Redd 28pnts 6rebs 3asts 10-19FG's 3-9 3PT's 5-5FT's
Keith Van Horn 21pnts 8-16FG's 4-8 3PT's
Toni Kukoc 10pnts 3rebs 2asts 1stl 4-6FG's 2-4 3PT's
Mike James 9pnts 2rebs 2asts 2stls 3-7FG's
Zaza Pachulia 8pnts 4rebs 2asts 4-6FG's

Team Watch:
Maurice Williams had 0pnts 6asts 3rebs 1stl on 0-7 shooting vs the Blazers.
hes averaging 3.5ppg 3.2rpg 5.8apg .217FG% in 4 games.
Hes been a major dissapointment thus far, and could see less mintues if it continues.

The Bucks reportedly have made an offer to the Pacers including Toni Kukoc and are apparentley chasing youngster David Harrison.
Gm Laddas is looking for a little more offensive in the centre position.

Bucks 1-3 Vs Lakers 3-2

Matchups:
Dan Gadzuric Vs Vlade Divac
Joe Smtih Vs Lamar Odom
Keith Van Horn Vs Caron Butler
Michael Redd Vs Kobe Bryant *
Maurice Williams Vs Chucky Atkins

*-Matchup to watch.

Well I'll be !!! a Bucks franchise and allso an Aussie....thought I'd be the only one around. Been playing with the bucks in NBA Live since Live96 and this is probably the toughest year to play them in my opinion.
Will begin posting my (PC) franchise shortly as well so'll be watching yours with interest :)

Milwaukee Lose again at home!

We were never really in this one after the first quarter.
The defending champs were just to damn good. We were dominated on the boards, which is strange for a team averaging 51.2rpg But the Wallace Duo and with an energetic Dice in the mix, it was to much.

Rip Hamilton was kocking down everything, whilst Redd again struggled from the field, and is currently shooting .398% from the field through the first 9 games.

Final Score: 98-78 L

Player Of the Game:
Richard Hamilton 30pnts 3asts 3stls 13-19FG's

Bucks Stat Leaders:
Michael Redd 16pnts 3rebs 2asts 7-20FG's
Keith Van Horn 16pnts 7rebs 3asts 2stls 6-16FG's
Desmond Mason 11pnts 5rebs 2asts 5-14FG's 26mins

TEAM NEWS:
Rumour has it that the Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets have been discussing a trade which could send Desmond Mason plus 2 others for Kenyon Martin and 2 other Nugget players.
Stay tuned for updates.

Milwaukee pick up win number 4 against the Sonics!

Seatttle relied to much on there outside game to really give us a scare, and there penetration wasnt exactly hard to defend either, they were 1-2 from the line, which goes to show, some teams do live and die by the 3(well this was all outside shots in general)

Michael Redd had a better game, but still his shooting was a little off.
Marcus Fizer continues to impress coaching staff though with continuing domination in the post, which all consists from the pine.
All in all it wasnt a mssive win, but maybe from this we can get some consistency in our play!

Final Score: 84-87 W

Player Of the Game:
Michael Redd 22pnts 4asts 2rebs 2blks 9-21FG's

Bucks Stat Leaders:
Marcus Fizer 18pnts 4rebs 9-15FG's 18mins
Keith Van Horn 13pnts 6rebs
Desmond Mason 9pnts 4asts 2rebs
Mike James 7pnts 5asts 4rebs 4stls

Next game we face our rivals................The New York Knickerbockers!
Should be a good one! Stay Tuned!

4-6

A couple of games to report:

Milwaukee beat rival Knicks 113-109!

This was a strange one, Redd or Van Horn really didnt shoot well, but they were on fire from downtown!
Redd was 6-9 and Van Horn was 5-8, it was quite a site to see.
I cant remember a lot about this game, but its always good for me to beat the Knicks, my NBA Live rivals :D
Mike James continued his impressive play with Maurice injured, he posted 12pnts 7asts 4rebs stls on 5-8 shooting.

Player of the Game:
Michael Redd 30pnts 5asts 4rebs 10-25FG's 6-9 3PT's

Bucks Stat Leaders:
Keith Van Horn 28pnts 8rebs
Marcus Fizer 20pnts 13rebs 26mins 9-13FG's
Mike James 12pnts 7asts 4rebs 3stls 5-8FG's
Dan Gadzuric 5pnts 10rebs 5asts 4blks

TEAM NEWS:
Joe Smith suffered a minor thumb sprain at the start of the third quarter, and did not return to action, but will not miss any games

TEAM TRANSACTIONS:
Joe Smith recovered from hsi injury, only to know that he was being traded, Washington had a high interest in him, and we had a high interest in Kwame Brown. So the deal was Joe Smith for Kwame Brown.

Kwame has said to be a bust so far in his career, and entering his 4th year i guess you could say so, but were taking the chance on him, and were confident he'll turn out just fine.

Milwaukee blow out the Hornets on the home court!

This game was fun, Welcome to the Bucks new age of the Redd,Kwame and Keith show. they combined for 81 of the Bucks 114 points and that was only in the 3 quarters! Very impressive thought. Kwame was awesome on debut with 26pnts on 12-15 shooting.
The Hornets never ever really had a chance in this one, our team chemistry was awesome, it was like everyone knew how to play with each other, it was great.
Final score was 114-85, thanks to a pitiful effort from the bench in the 4th where we were outscored 28-13.

Player of the Game:
Michael Redd 30pnts 5asts 2stls 2blks 12-21FG's 4-6 3PT's 25mins

Bucks Stat Leaders:
Kwame Brown 26pnts 6rebs 3blks 3asts 1stl 12-15FG's 25mins
Keith Van Horn 25pnts 10rebs 5asts 10-17FG's 5-9 3PT's 26mins
Desmond Mason 14pnts 8rebs 3asts 2stls 5-11FG's 20mins

Next we play the high scoring Dallas Mavericks, should be an exciting one, if our guys can play the same as we did the Hornets :)

6-6

Fizer's numbers vs the knicks were amazing !! How did we forget about him !!

Is Brown going to play at center ? Good trade tho isnt Brown a FA after this season as well? if so what length of contract/money would you give him.

Hey sorry the long time without a post, ive been majorly busy with girls n work n cars etc.

oh well i have 2 games to report.

Dallas Mavericks (11-7) @ Milwaukee Bucks (6-6)

We had won our last 3 in a row coming into this game, and Dallas were playing well n ranked 6th on the Power Rankings, so obviously the Mavs were favoured to win this one.
To start out we really banged it inside to Kwame, coz they could not stop him, Dirk had no idea how to defend him and Kwame was rolling until the 4 minute mark of the 2nd, Kwame Hurt his thumb and could not return, Kwames diagnosis report later.

The game became more of a closer affair from here, with Finley and Redd shooting it out and Van Horn quietly putting together a huge game.
Redd was too good from long range in the end as he connected on 5-8 from 3-land and lead the Bucks to a 6 point victory.

Final Score: 96-102

Player of the Game:
Michael Redd 29pnts 7asts 5rebs 2stls 11-27FG's 5-8 3PT's

Bucks Leaders:
Keith Van Horn 26pnts 13rebs 3asts 12-21FG's 2-4 3PT's
Kwame Brown 16pnts 7rebs 14mins *

Team News:
Kwame Brown suffered a strained thumb, but wont be forced to miss any games.

7-6

Milwaukee Bucks (7-6) @ Denver Nuggets (14-3)

Finally above .500 and feeling confident after our huge win over the Mavericks, we thought we could take this one on the road against the team with the best record in the NBA, The Nuggets.
Things were looking great till the 9 minute mark of the 2nd where Redd went up for a dunk but was hit very hard by Kenyon Martin and had to leave the game.
From there Denver dominated and lead by 16 at the half. With Van Horn,Kwame,James and Fizer all struggling, someone had to step up.
Desmond Mason lead the Bucks comeback and had the Bucks at a chance to tie with 6 seconds left as he intercepted a pass, but Van Horns final shot hit the back rim and cluncked out.
The Bucks went down in this one by 3 points.

Final Score: 86-89

Player of the Game:

Andre Miller 19pnts 9asts 5rebs 8-19FG's

Bucks Leaders:
Desmond Mason 24pnts 7rebs 5asts 11-20FG's
Mike James 12pnts 3rebs 3asts 2stls 4-14FG's
Keith Van Horn 11pnts 6rebs 3asts 5-14FG's
Kwame Brown 9pnts 6rebs 4-14FG's

Team News:
Micheal Redd hurt his left shoulder but wont miss any games, Kwame Brown has fully recovered from his sore thumb.

7-7

Milwaukee Bucks (7-7) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (7-11)

This one was great to play, Redd put a lockdown on Lebron and got him in early foul trouble, which from there on the Cavs just had nothing in the tank to compete with us.
Redd continued his impressive passing, dishing out 7 dimes and his shooting is back on the rise as he hit 10 from 20 shots.
It was a good all-round effort from all the guys though, as Redd,Van Horn and Kwame DNP the 4th quarter.

Final Score: 110-92

Player Of the Game:
Michael Redd 26pnts 7asts 4rebs 10-20FG's

Bucks Stat Leaders:
Keith Van Horn 17pnts 3rebs 6-16FG's
Kwame Brown 15pnts 12rebs 6-10FG's
Desmond Mason 14pnts 4rebs 2asts 7-15FG's
Mike James 7pnts 9asts 6stls 3rebs

Team News:
Maurice Williams has fully recovered from his Thumb injury, but wont be rushed into the starting lineup after missing the last 8 games.

Next we flew back home to face KG and the Wolves.

Minnesota Timberwolves (9-8) @ Milwaukee Bucks (8-7)

This one was awesome, Redd coming off a great defensive effort against Lebron, was schooled by Sprewell who hit 30pnts on 11-23 shooting but Redd wasnt gonna come up second on this battle. Redd had a 16pnt 4th quarter which included 4 long range bombs and also dished out 3 assists to lead the Bucks to there 9th win of the season.
Kwame and Fizer put a lockdown on reigning MVP Kevin Garnett who had just 13pnts 11rebs 5blks on 5-11FG's.
The Candiman continued to suck as he allowed Dan Gadzuric go off for a season high of.........12 points!!!! Go Gadz.

Final Score: 110-114

Player Of the Game:
Michael Redd 34pnts 7asts 2blks 1reb 11-23FG's 5-11 3PT's

Bucks Stat Leaders:
Keith Van Horn 16pnts 9rebs 2asts 5-16FG's
Dan Gadzuric 12pnts 14rebs 5blks 6-8FG's
Mike James 12pnts 3rebs 3asts 1stl 4-5FG's
Desmond Mason 12pnts 7rebs 3asts 6-10FG's

Maurice Williams had 10pnts 3rebs 3asts off the bench in his return from a Sprained Thumb which kept him out for 6 weeks.

Team News:
Michael Redd has been selected to participate in the 3 point shootout!
Desmond Mason has been selected to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest!

The All-Star weekend is next!

East:
C- Shaquille O'Neal
F- Antoine Walker ???
F- Al Harrington ???
G- Paul Pierce
G- Chauncey Billups

West:
C- Yao Ming
F- Dirk Nowitzki
F- Peja Stojakovic
G- Tracy Mcgrady
G- Steve Nash

Those are the wierdest All-Star teams ive ever seen, but all there stats are crazy.

Ok, im into the playoffs with a 19-10 season ending record, which inlcuded a streak of 8 wins, but we finished off the season with a heartbreaker 93-91 loss to the Wizards, thanks to a Gilbert Arenas 3 pointer. Then we went to Phoenix and lost our second in a row before the playoffs 111-100, Wizards were 9-19 and the Suns were 13-14 when we lost ot them, so losing to 2 teams below .500 has hurt our confidence going into the playoffs.

Before i show the match-ups in the Playoffs, i shall post the season Stats and Player Achievements.

Game 1:

Indiana Pacers @ Milwaukee Bucks

Final Score: 75-107

Recap:
This game was a complete embarresment on Indianas part, but for the Bucks, it couldnt of been any better.
Coming into the playoffs with 2 losses in a row, fans and even parts of management thought the Bucks would crumble, and there cindarella story type of season could end quick, well those thoughts were quickly thrown out the window whe nthe halftime score showed Pacers 31 - Bucks 64.

Is was that much of a domination that the big 3 Redd,K.Brown and Van Horn didnt even play the last 4 minutes of the 3rd, and the rest of the 4th.
Despite barely any production from the Bucks point guards(Mo will 3pnts 4rebs 4asts, TJ didnt register a stat in 17mins) the Bucks non-stop pushed the ball and made just a complete mockery of the Pacers, to hopefully set the tone for the series.

Player of the Game:
Dan Gadzuric 9pnts 15rebs 5blks 2stls 1ast

Milwaukee Stats:
Michael Redd - 28pnts 5asts 3rebs
Desmond Mason - 22pnts 6rebs 2asts 1stl 27mins 9/14FG's
Kwame Brown - 18pnts 11rebs 3blks 1ast
Keith Van Horn - 15pnts 7rebs 2asts 1blk
Marcus Fizer - 10pnts 9rebs 2asts 1blk 1stl

Bucks lead series 1-0

Western Conference:
Denver Nuggets lead the Memphis Grizzlies 2-0
Portland Trailblazers and the Minnesota Timberwolves are tied 1-1
San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks are tied 1-1
Los Angeles Lakers lead the Sacramento Kings 2-0

Eastern Conference:
Detroit Pistons lead the New York Knicks 2-0
Milwaukee Bucks lead the Indiana Pacers 1-0
Miami Heat lead the Toronto Raptors 1-0
Boston Celtics lead the Cleveland Cavaliers 1-0

I have games 2 and 3 to report, but i didnt write down the stats and cant really remember it, but ill do my best :)

Game 2:

Indiana Pacers @ Milwaukee Bucks

Final Score: 109-106

Recap:
The Bucks came into this one with way to much confidence, and must of forgot how good the Pacers really are. The Pacers didnt steal this game, as the cliche usually goes for a home playoff loss, they really worked hard and earned it. Jamal Tinsley, Reggie Miller,Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson all dominated from the guard position. Whilst Jermaine O'Neal dominated in the post, which included the winning jump hook with 3 seconds remaining.

Michael Redd had a chance to tie it, but clanked a wide open 3 pointer of a perfectly orchestrated inbounds play. Redd had his worst shotting game since early in the season.

Player of the Game:
Jermaine O'Neal 18pnts 11rebs 6blks

Cant really remember the stats, sorry.

Team News:
Dan Gadzuric injured his arm early in the game, but returned for the second half. Returning made his injury worst, and the Bucks best defensive presence will miss 13 days with a broken finger.

Game 3:

Milwaukee Bucks @ Indiana Pacers

Final Score: 114-106

Recap:
Without Gadzuric, the Bucks started with Kwame Brown,Keith Van Horn,Desmond Mason,Michael Redd,Mike James.
James was started coz of the terrible defence displayed by both Mo Williams and TJ Ford, TJ is now said to be the 3rd PG in the rotation.

With Gadzuric gone, the Pacers when straight to work and didnt back off going straight at the hoop and feeding the post for Jermaine to work.
This was shortly forgotten as Keith Van Horn started working on probably his best game as a pro. He was demanding the ball in the post, rebounding everything and even played some great post D.
The Bucks were rolling with a 61-46 lead at the half lead by Redds 18pnts and Keiths 12pnts 13rebs.
In the third the Bucks got out to a 20 point lead, at that time, Kwame Brown went hard to the basket and came down hard on his Knee, which forced him to sit out the rest of the game.
The Pacers came screaming back and cut the lead to 10, but Van Horn connected on 2 big three pointers, followed by a Redd 3 pointer.
Then it happened, Van Horn took a charge, but came down hard on his back, and he also was gone for the game.
From there the Pacers tried, but never got closer than 8, which was the margin in the end.

Player of the Game:
Michael Redd 33pnts 7asts 4rebs 2stls 13-27FG's 4-12 3pntFG's

Milwaukee Bucks Stats:
Keith Van Horn 21pnts 22rebs 4asts
Desmond Mason 14pnts 5rebs 3asts
Maurice Williams 11pnts 5asts 2stls
Marcus Fizer 11pnts 6rebs

We had a bunch of people score, it was probably our best all-round team effort in a while.

Team News:
Kwame Brown will return next game 100% healthy, but Van Horns injury will effect his game play, and is reported to have light back spasms.

Game 4 Matchups:

Jermaine O'Neal Vs Kwame Brown
Jonathan Bender Vs Keith Van Horn
Ron Artest Vs Desmond Mason
Reggie Miller Vs Michael Redd
Jamal Tinsley Vs Mike James

Players to watch:

Jermaine O'Neal Michael Redd
Reggie Miller Keith Van Horn
Stephen Jackson Qyntel Woods

Woods has been a real key player off the bench latley, his defence has been excellent due to his height(6'8) and athleticism.
4.7ppg 3.3rpg are his numbers so far this playoffs, but they dont show his real impact!

Game 4 Next!
