sound/music problem + freeze problem

The music in NBA Live 2005 plays too slow! on my PC. It starts when I launch the game. Even the "EA Sports it's in the game" at startup plays too slow.
The sound effects seem to be OK.

I tried to lower the sound acceleration in dxdiag, but that didn't help.

Since I'm also unable to play .asf files in wmp10, i'm thinking maybe that's the problem.


But it get's even worse. After ca. 4 minutes of play my computer freezes.
When that happens, I have to wait appr. 1 hour before I can startup again.
Since technician assured me that there is no power-supply problem, and there is no CPU-heating problem, I'm thinkin' : "video card overheating". My video card is ATI radeon VE 32MB. My PC is PB Music dream machineII.

The Freeze-problem is a general problem, which seems to occur more often when playing graphical games.

The sound playing too slow, is a NBA Live 2005 problem.

PS: I also play FIFA 2003. No sound problems here, but the system does freeze after 4 minutes (at half time).


Could someone please help me with these 2 problems

First Problem solved.
I tried a few drivers without succes until I came across the
XP audio driver for explorer mobo's (packard bell site). This one worked fine!

The second problem will probably be overheating of the CPU or video card. Ideas on how to prevent this from happening????
