Using Kobe on my Bulls franchise, I play locked on him and only play while he's in the game.
With Kobe I average 34 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 4.6 APG (and rising), 1.3 SPG. Yet he wasn't an All Star starter. LaBron James was the AS Starter at SG, with 22.3 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 4.2 APG, under 1 SPG. Not only that, Ron Artest with even lower stats was the second string SG.
Kobe was invited to and won the dunk contest with 199 (50, 50, 49, 50) in his four (2 per round) dunks. (BTW, why are the dunks so unrealistic? Why did they add players throwing the ball off the ceiling etc?)
When James was taken out of the game, I subbed in Bryant over Artest and led the East with 38 Points, had 7 rebounds and 3 assists, and a number of entry passes that Shaq (25 points) or Jermain O'Neil (18 points) turned into points with a move or two.
But why isn't Kobe getting his props? It seems the human player doesn't get the same consideration for MVP etc. Ben Gordon, who I traded, was player of the month for November with 30.1 PPG, negligible rebounds and assists while Kobe sat there with 32 PPG, 6 RPG, 4 APG with nothing.
Also, even if I walk him around, Kobe gets tired well before anyone else (human controlled player always gets tired faster.)
