i really like your dynasty- but the first few columns of your coding is all messed up, making it very difficult to read. I really like your pics and commentary though, and I've played a few games with LeBron, and I've noticed mostly he just dunks- he can't shoot too terribly well, I don't know why.

trubucksfan wrote:Hey im having a little problem with LeBron James in my dynasty, and i was wondering if anyone else has had this playing with him. everyone else on my team seems to be able to shoot decently and hitting shots when they are open. Bron dosent seem to do this very well or at least recently he hasnt been able to hit many jumpers. he kinda gets that quick release thing when shooting even when i hold it as long as everyone else. i dont think hes out of his range i mean he can hit threes to an extent but this is happening on jumpers

actually i also have this problem but found out there's a timing for shootings. just try doing some practice with james to get use with his shooting.

by the way great dynasty though just wondering why not used boxscore rather coding the boxscore.

Sat Nov 13, 2004 10:37 am

im planning on switching to pics for my boxscores cuz people hate the code(i cant say its real good looking anyway). tomorrow ill have the standings, mvps, and pom. plus the big matchup between the hated carlos boozer at home!

Sat Nov 13, 2004 10:41 am

yea the boxscore is really weird, you should consider fixing that. but the rest are beautiful

Sat Nov 13, 2004 11:24 am

i'm glad to hear you're switching the boxscore format, cause the coding is ugly. the coding CAN look good, but it takes ALOT of effort (like what wormy10 is doing on his PS2 kings dynasty- he's doing all that- took him like an hour to post one recap)

Sat Nov 13, 2004 1:16 pm

yea... but it is ps2 after all

Sun Nov 14, 2004 5:19 am

LeBron James goes up for a big reverse jam during first quarter action

The Cleveland Cavaliers have come under alot of scrutiny with the losting streak they have been on but on this night against the Clippers they came together and played 48 minutes of solid basketball for the first time this year. The cavs got off to a fast start giving the ball inside to zydrunas illgauskas and drew gooden. In that first period the cavs scored 16 inside points to take the early 22-14 lead. The only Clipper player that had a solid game was Elton Brand who scored 24 points and had 11 rebounds. the league widened in the 2nd as jeff mcinnis played a very solid game hitting from mid range. during the 3rd quarter brand tried to cut into the cavs lead but they were unable to close within less than 6. during the fourth quarter the cavs pulled away with 2 3s from aleksandar pavlovic and inside scoring from drew gooden. now that the long road trip is over the cavs play almost the entire month at home. after hosting the sixers the cavs play former cavalier carlos boozer and the utah jazz which is sure to be an emotion packed game throughout.

The jazz started off quickly giving the ball to the afformentioned boozer and he produced scoring 6 points in the first 5 minutes of the 1st quarter. the cavs got off to a slow start and finished the quarter behind by 5 only scoring 16 points. LeBron became uncorked in the 2nd quarter hitting jump shots and posting up a helpless matt harpring for 8 consecutive points. at halftime the score was tied. during the 3rd quarter the cavs came out with high intensity on defense causing 3 turnovers in a row and establishing how they were gonna play for the rest of the game. cleveland started to slow the game down after the quick start and went into the post to gooden and big z. the cavs outscored utah 33-20 in the 3rd giving them a comfortable lead for the rest of the game. Andre Kirlenko had his worst game this season going 0-7 and only scoring 2 points though he grabbed 6 rebounds in limited minutes. Luke Jackson received his first substantial playing time for the cavs scoring 9 points on 3-4 shooting getting 6 of those on a crucial 3rd quarter run.

The real Kings of the court

Image

The Sacramento Kings came into town last night and almost everyone expected a high scoring affair. they got the exact opposite. final score 75-79 Kings. it started off high scoring where the end of the 1st ended 23-29. the game slowd down substantially after that as both teams were forced to grind it out in the half-court. The difference maker in the game tonight was at center. Brad Miller played great post defense on zydrunas illgauskas only allowing 12 points and 7 rebounds. along with the great defense he posted a double double scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, he also dished 4 assists. the leading scorer was bobby jackson who had 25 points. scoring 12 in the first quarter. the Kings stretched the llead out in the 3rd and start of the 4th quarter and looked to be running away with the game. down 53-68. the cavs went on a run and were within 72-66 with 1:30 left when drew gooden grabbed a lebron james miss, put it up only to have it blocked by chris webber. gooden grabbed snatched the ball again and missed a layup. they got no closer than that for the rest of the game and the rest of the points were free throws.

Al Jefferson on Boston will help you alot at the PF spot. I like that kid a lot.

Nice update man.

havent got a chance to even play against boston yet so i havent seen the manchild. the one person that does intrigue me on the celtics is Delonte West. I like being very realistic when it comes to trades so i dont see how i would get jefferson out of town or delonte. jefferson is one of the players they are looking to be a big help to double P down the road. and Delonte West for Dajuan Wagner wouldnt make much sense, why would they clog up their pg spot even more with a 3rd year point guard when at least they have an excuse to leave west on the bench cuz hes a rook. you seem to be very high on Al Jefferson Cocobee, why is that? he does seem to be playing well so far in the nba this season. thanks very much for the suggestion. More suggestions are needed!

Jeff Mcinnis hits the game winning jumper at the buzzer

The Houston Rockets came to the gund arena last night hoping to snap their 2 game losing streak while the Cavs were trying to win 2 straight and 5 out of their last 6. Houston started off quickly going inside to yao ming who scored 7 points effortlessly over big sleepy zydrunas illgauskas. Tyrone Lue also got involved early on his way to 22 points for the game. LeBron James,as is his fashion got it going in the second quarter on both ends of the court snagging rebounds and putting the ball in the basket. he went on a mini run of 10 points before houston scored another point. a big defensive quarter put the cavs ahead by 1 46-45. during the 3rd it was nip and tuck as both teams couldnt seperate. alexander pavlovic had a big quarter scoring 10 points on 2 3's and 20 ft jumpers. throughout the fourth LeBron James came up big with timely rebounds and nabbing 2 steals. he also had had 7 points in the quarter. with 24 seconds left and the rockets down by 2 coach jeff van gundy called a timeout and set up a play for an isolation to Tracy McGrady. McGrady, with the clock down to 4 seconds shot the ball and hit a free throw lind jumper to tie the game. with 1.6 left the cavs then called a timeout. LeBron James set a high pick pn tyrone lue freeing up Jeff McInnis for a split second. McInnis turned and hit a long range three at the buzzer to steal the game from the Rockets. LeBron James who may have had his best overall performance of the season scoring 31 points while grabbing 13 rebounds and collecting 8 assists had this to say about the game "Tonight was a big confidence builder for us, z didnt have his best game but the rest of us stepped up, especially Pav, he kept us in the game in the 3rd quarter. I really wanted this game after tracy beat us playing for the Magic on christmas last year. Were starting to turn things around now and i feel we are getting comfortable as a team."

Game 18

Indiana 89 Cleveland 84

Pacers Power their way to victory

Image

Indiana entered the Gund with a slight advantage in wins and has previously dominated the cavs win 3 of 4 last year. tonight they would come up with another win. in what was a matchup of two solid teams, defense was the main key. Ron Artest did an exceptional job keeping LeBron James out of playmaking opportunities, and Jermaine O'neal shut down Zydrunas Illgauskas' post game early and often. in the first with the furiouls defense artest and oneal were playing the cavs turned to 20 year old aleksandar pavlovic. he came up big with 8 first quarter points and kept the cavs within striking distance while the rest of the crew tried to play catch up with the pacers. Reggie Miller got off to a solid start with 12 points in the half. While Jermain Oneal was quite on the offensive end in the early going he was a monster on the boards collecting 15 of them he also blocked big z 4 times. the james vs artest matchup was even throughout with james making some spectacular plays at some points and being completley shut down at others. artest had the last laugh along with the victory. with a minute left and the pacers up by 1 artest hit a 3 with james all over him to give them the 4 point advantage. one that the Cavs wouldnt recover from. In the 4th Jermaine Oneal also came alive scoring 6 points in the last 4 minutes down the stretch keeping the game in favor of the pacers.

Snow has been steady off the bench this season. Pavlovic is coming into his own as shooting guard for the cavs.

sorry i couldnt get to all the new stuff tonight, things should be up sometime tommorrow morning right when i wake up. any trade suggestions about dajuan wagner would be welcomed.

Sat Nov 20, 2004 4:02 pm

Personally I wouldnt trade Wagenr, I like the kid, you sure you want to get rid of him? But if you really want to trade him i'd say look for a small foward or shooting guard. Can't really think of anyone off the top of my head.
