Ultimate Retro Roster NBA 2k20: 2026 Season Roster Released!

hello, i've been a fan of this project since 2023 and i loved playing this mod as an alternative to the fallen ubr mod (hawk23). i've been playing numerous rosters such as the 2001 jazz, 2020 nuggets, etc., and i would like to ask if y'all still have the rosters since it seems like it has been deleted in mediafire whenever im trying to download. advance appreciation to those who can provide or chat and thank ya'll

why does my myleague crash (even though im using the ML roster such as URR1 ML)? how to fix it? also the reason why i wanted to have the former rosters

Oh, those teams have since been replaced by more recent Jazz and Nuggets teams. Once I have my computer back, I can see if I have an older version of the roster on hand with those teams still present. If not, I can try to create a special version that reverts the 2021 Jazz and 2023 Nuggets to those teams if you want to use them badly enough.

Regarding crashing in MyLeague, you have to include at least 1 expansion team (do this via the custom league option when setting up the Myleague) to get it to work. The game can still be prone to crashes on set up, but having at least one extra slot is absolutely necessary for it to work at all

Thanks alot man, I had a lot of fun playing Boogie and Joker on the same team. It's like a nostalgia for me nowadays to reminisce those teams (former teams), also the Stockton and Starks duo was fun to use in that Jazz team. Once again, I give all of my thankfulness to you man. Wishing u the best

Edit: I have alot of teams that I missed in that mod especially majority in the V2 version such as the 2022 Celts, 2014 Heatles, 1991 Blazers, 1989 Knicks, 1985 Clips, etc., there are some as well in the V1. If you can find those gems, I would gladly appreciate it.

The Charlotte Bobcats have current Charlotte Hornets court in 08, 09, 10, 11, 12 rosters. They have correct ones in 07 and 13 rosters. Apparently it is this one https://content.sportslogos.net/logos/6 ... gsurx3.gif Is this court missing from the mod, or something didn't load on my end ?

I don't have that issue. I'm waiting on a new computer so I can't check right this moment what might cause that for someone. Make sure all your mods are loading. If any players are invisible, that is a larger issue beyond the court. Make sure you carry over my config file from the essentials pack into your Hook folder (although I doubt that is the issue)

I redownloaded the essentials pack and reapplied the config file and it works properly now. Maybe I never copied that config file when I installed the mod for the first time. Anyway, thanks for the help.

I recommend reading page 1 of the thread. There are tips that are included in the mod packs as you download as well. What is important is you download everything from the Necessary Download Links section. That includes the update packs. Do those update packs in order after you've installed the initial things.

I have a question about Nuggets and Timberwolves jerseys in All-Time Rosters. They're the only teams that don't have their "current"(around 2020) jerseys in this rosters. Instead Nuggets have jerseys they wore in 2015-17 and Timberwolves have ones they wore in 2008-2010. I like those jerseys, but I think it would be nice to have the current ones as well. I don't know why they were left out, I doubt roster space was an issue, when some other teams have more jerseys than Nuggets and Wolves.

I've added those jerseys for the next update. I'm not always great at going back and continuously updating the all-time roster. I'll add players here and there, but sometimes I forget I have it

I added 2 extra teams for my league, when i used the 60s celtics and Lakers my game crashed, but when I added two all time teams, my league work great. Try to simulate one seasson only for try if you have crashes and when you go to the preseasson simulate all. If you simulate 1 entire seasson and the preseasson without crashes you solve the problem. Also you can edit the extra teams with NBA2k20 tools, I made europe teams and its fun to play. I Hope this resolve your problem.

Im refereing to the roster for 1990. I recommended that if you want to make a custom league you use URR V2 my league compatible or one historic year that you like. I used the current roster and afyer that i edited the teams with NBA2k roster tool . But with a historic year roster you shouldnt have problems if you do what i told you before.

please does this mod work with cracked version of NBA 2k20, or do i have to get it from steam. i have tried several times but it seems the mod is incompatible with cracked NBA 2k20

The most powerful mod I have ever played has allowed me to rediscover the joy of playing NBA2K14 UBR mods. But I have found that some old teams on the roster do not use corresponding team logos, such as the Portland Trail Blazers using modern team logos even though this was on the 2000 roster, and other teams such as the Pacers and Wizards.

Hey Thunder Shaq, I'm new to all this and I have tried watching all the videos of the most up to date info. The order of packs to install and tried multiple times I'm literally going insane. the Rosters show up but every imported pic isn't there and all custom faces aren't showing up and same problem with most everyone of them are invisible. Is there any recommendation of someone you know I can chat with to see what I'm doing wrong maybe can set it up on my PC through Parsec I'll pay you and them for any help to get to play with these rosters. It's a really awesome job on everything y'all did and I'm excited to try it out.

Impeccable timing as I am experiencing the exact same problem as you @Peerless_Au. This is odd since I never had this issue on Windows 10, everything works as expected. I recently install CachyOS (Linux) and have the exact problem you described. I am able to load the roster, but player pics and on court players are invisible for the most part with the exception of a few players. I am experiencing this problem on both the steam version and the sailor version on CachyOS. Are you running Windows?

I had move over to Windows 11 when I got my new computer and the mod still works. I've never been able to confirm if this must be the Steam version, I think it does. Which is annoying because you have to go track down a steam key nowadays.

What's most important about this mod is downloading everything you need. That means ALL the mod packs on page 1 (and in the right order). The areas that order matters is Cyberface Packs 1-3. And then once all the main packs are installed. Download all the Update packs in order that are below that section.

Find this section on page one and download it all.



Everything here is absolutely necessary or you will run into things being invisible. ESPECIALLY the 2k Hook. You must download that and carry over the config file from the essentials pack into that folder. There are text instructions for installation in that essentials download. If you still have problems (particularly corrupted file issues), download the SYNC.BIN as well and place it in the folder instructed on page 1 of the thread (different than your 2k20 folder)

How did you make the hook to work with linux? Afaik the game crashes with the hook files installed. Tried it in nobara/steamdeck(steamos) with steam, heroic, bottles, lutris launchers and lots of wine/proton versions with no luck.

I was having the same issue with the game not launching at all, then I read a post somewhere to delete the d3d11.dll that comes with the "NBA2K20_Hook V2.4.1.zip" download from the game directory. Doing this allows the game to load. I use Lutris and noticed that if running the cracked version of the game, then WINE is recommended as proton for me doesn't allow to save settings/franchise/rosters at all. I only have 1 week experience with Linux so any suggestions are welcomed.

However, on Linux to run Windows games there's a compatibility translater being used (Wine for standalone Windows games and Proton for Steam) and I suspect this is where the problem lies.

I must say the game appears to look better than ever on Linux, due to Wine / Proton converting everything to Vulkan/DX12. Everything in the game is graphically proper, except for the basketball is brown and has a wood grain texture looking like a wooden ball LOL. I like it though so no worries about fixing that, just need the players to be visible to enjoy the roster update. The vanilla game with default rosters runs flawlessly, only issue is the invisible players using hook.

Lol the wooden ball was actually modded over to be the Wilson ball, which is why you see that when the mods aren't working. The problem is that the d3d11.dll is likely REQUIRED for the Hook to work properly and thus, the mods to load. Do you have an antivirus that is flagging the dll file? I've had that before and let it allow it. That's what is holding back the mod from working unfortunately. It will never work if you don't allow the Hook and all its files.

No there's no anti-virus or any OS restrictions being enforced that I can see. The game refuses to launch with the d3d11.dll file in the game directory, only get an NBA2K_Hook popup message error stating "D3DKMTCloseAdapter" accompanied with some Chinese text. But removing it the game runs perfect so I think we've narrowed the problem down to d3d11.dll file and Linux Wine translator somehow conflicting each other.

Seeing how the entire game runs like normal when removing d3d11.dll with the exception of invisible players, I suspect the fix for this is relatively simple once properly investigated. Problem is there's not many of us 2k20 modders who is trying to run this on Linux yet.

I want this to work as the game on Linux runs at a full 144 fps with enhanced Vulkan graphics and looks phenomenal, that and Windows 11 spyware taking screenshots of your computer every 5 seconds for "safety" scares the crap out of me.

So i followed this viewtopic.php?p=2011502#p2011502 tutorial again after some years with the help of chatgpt but this time with heroic launcher and a different exe *wink wink*. I got close but still no go. The injector couldn't find the exe. If only i could find a way for the injector to look for the game's pid instead
