Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom combined for 55 of the Lakers' 106 points and recieved help from Brian Grant, Luke Walton and Devean George to blow out the Clippers on the Clippers' 'home' court.
The Lakers were just too accurate from outside in the second and third quarters as the team scored 8 of their 9 three point shots during a 14 minute period in between the two quarters. Unfortunately, Lamar Odom was injured with 1:32 left in the game and suffered a sprained finger which puts him out indefinately.
Corey Maggette and Elton Brand tried to help their team to victory with 24 and 19 repectively but Chris Kaman, C couldn't contribute by being limited to 5-13 from the field. The Lakers' flowing team game was living up to expectations as Odom, Bryant and Walton each had at least six assists each.
"We really let ourselves down tonight by trying to go 'solo' too many times," Kaman said, "Next time we play we will be ready." Mike Dunleavy Sr. said, "We didn't focus our defence on Kobe. After he made three three point shots in a row in the third quarter we knew we had lost our momentum."
Clippers' rookie Shaun Livingston was one of the brighter spots for the team tonight as he had 11 and 6. However, his final stat line didn't show the three plays he had against the Lakers in the fourth quarter. On thje first play, Livingston faked to his left and then pulled back for a 20 foot jumpshot as Kobe struggled to stay standing. Then Livingston stole the ball of Lamar Odom and completed a highlight dunk before backing down on Bryant on the other side of the court and launching a no-look pass to Elton Brand for a thunderous dunk.
Kobe Bryant on Livingston, "This kid (Livingston) has a lot of talent. Next Magic? He could be. He's got too much upside actually."

The New York Nknicks moved the highest by moving up 3 spots but overall, not many pwer shifts in this week's power rankings.
