Alright, Alright. I'll admit i'm spoiled, because I'm use to playing games like Fast Break Basketball which get the statistic engine down perfect and are easy to navigate through. Also PC versions of Madden 2005, which still can be a pain in the ass, but are far superior to this mess of an attempt.
For a port i imagine it's alright, but for a PC game it's crap. It's just a lot of little things that have compounded it irritate the crap out of me.
The whole "scouting" thing is a waste of time. I've just resorted to writing down on sheets of paper who is young and who has a potential of "excellent" or "good". The idea of scouting out a player and bringing him in for a workout was nice on paper, but it basically ends up pointless. The PDA is a nice idea in theory, but it its the most annoying thing in the game thus far...
Trading: Holy crap If I was new, I'd be completely lost. First of all, having no idea what the other team is interested in is a huge hindrince. In games like madden when you set up a trade at least it gives you a bit of an inclination if the other team is interested prior to the trade. Also, it gives you no warning if it can't be performed due to salary reasons. For a beginner who doesn't understand salary cap, you telling me they have to wait 2 days to get a PDA message saying "sorry, but this doesn't work due to cap reasons". Come on... it's irritating.
Offering contracts: i've come to find out there is no negotiating if you don't wanna spend 45 minutes trying to sign someone. You just sign them to whatever they want... No ability to negotiate a bit.
Stats: What's with the fact that when I look at a player's history, it doesn't even show me what they averaged... just shows me how many points they scored and how many rebounds they pulled down... etc. That's a pretty idiot thing to do... who actually cares how many points a player scored... I want to know what they averaged.
All in all the navigation is a mess and the dynasty mode is a brutal mess.
