CLEVELAND CAVALIERS GIVE KNICKS A CLOSE GAME

The Cleveland Cavaliers showed today to other teams that the Knicks are not invincable.
They did lose, but kept it close until late in the fourth quarter, trailing by just 2 points
with 4 minutes left in the game. The Knicks however, pulled away late and won their 14th
game in a row to start the season, 117-102.

"I thought we had a bad shooting game," said Coach Don Nelson.
"But looking at the stat sheet afterwards, I noticed we still almost shot 50%.
If that is a bad game for us we can for sure win a lot of games."

Reggie Miller scored 39 points and is now averaging 33.6 points per game, 2nd in the league
behind Golden State Warriors' Adrian Dantley. Chris Mullin had 27, Olajuwon 20 wih 29 rebounds
and 6 blocks, and Scottie Pippen 13 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for his 4th career triple double.
For the Cavaliers power forward Cliff Robinson had 35 points and 20 rebounds.
Johnny Moore had a career high and league leading 21 assists, and 7 steals.
