Cavs 2016 Finals black sleeved jersey

Postby tobay2k on Tue Feb 21, 2023 2:16 am

Unfortunately this wonderful jersey mod appears glitched in 2K23 and is not working properly anymore :(

https://www.2kspecialist.net/2021/11/nb ... -2016.html

Did 2K adjust the jersey_v_sleeved.iff file for 2K23?

To all experienced jersey modders, please please convert this jersey mod over to 2K23 or create a new one if it's not possible to convert it :bowdown2:

You don´t need to convert it. I already added that sleeved model to my PCBasket roster. I just renamed the iff model to an existing jersey model in NBA 2K23.

Thank you! Unfortunately they are clipping though, do u know why? It wasn't the case on 2K22.

Image

Also the upper middle part of the shorts now has a rectangle which shouldn't be there and wasn't on the initial mod.

Is it because of your own custom jerseys? Is it adjustable?

I didn´t make the textures, just I imported the jersey model to NBA 2K23 but yes, that rectangle can be fixed on photoshop. You can open the dds to edit it. The clipping is normal, the jersey model works properly but this year 2K changed the skeleton for the players and it will depend on each body type. For example, that LeBron face should be fixed on Blender with polish feature in sculpt mode. You can import his hihead scne to fix the chest area.

That Lbj is just a face texture with the default body type. The clipping is just as terrible on all the other default cfs and is happening on the neck, arms and also chest area :(

The fact that you are using a default model means absolutely nothing. Since, as you already know, even some default bodies are not working well with the default retro jersey models: Kenyon Martin, Steve Nash, Steve Novak, etc. So if someone adds a jersey model created from scratch, it will not be perfect. But the solution, as I told you before, is to polish the body model on Blender for each player of that team.
Is it tedious? Yes, but the solution exists. In my team with those sleeved jerseys this problem does not exist because I have previously edited the bodies. There are too many hours behind everything I do because I am as much a perfectionist as you are.
