I appreciate the kind words but you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. During a game on 2K23 (and it was the same on 22), the engine thinks there are 3 or 4 different wipes to look for in gooeyoverlaysstatic, all of which have their own VCUIELEMENTs. There may or may not be any logic involved in which one is triggered when (my impression is that it's random), but in any case, the game will attempt to load them. I'm unaware of any way to mod this.
If you are using an old gooeyoverlaysstatic that lacks anything corresponding to the new wipes, then when the game tries to load them, I'm almost certain that it loads nothing -- not your wipe, not anything. That would explain why when the two users above tried your mod, instead of seeing your wipe in places where they would normally see default wipes, they saw nothing. They *would* see your wipe when the game (seemingly randomly) decides to load the current wipe that shares the name of the 2k19 one, but that's only like 1/3 or 1/4 of the time.
The proper way to have your wipe triggered in place of ALL default 2K wipes (and also to not potential break other things in the game that are controlled by gooeyoverlaysstatic) is to integrate your wipe into the 2k23 gooeyoverlaysstatic and create duplicate VCUIELEMENTs that replace the additional 2K23 wipes, so that regardless of which wipe the game tries to load, it loads yours. That's what I did in 2K22, and as I said I think I may have explained further in my old thread. I can't remember.
