Roster Resource | 2kTools player configs (from MyTeam)

Tue Oct 18, 2022 4:15 pm

Thanks to Looyh's 2ktools ( viewtopic.php?f=279&t=114354) we can copy and paste player info from MyTeam and bring them over to our own rosters.

A ton of "missing" players from retro rosters are not only still in the files but get used throughout the year in MyTeam. I went through and found as many as i could that i didn't remember seeing on default rosters.
The process is very simple.
Instructions -
1. copy everything from "{("module"....." until the empty space.
2. Open up 2ktools on player you wish to fill this info and click the big blue box that read "edit player".
3. In the bottom left of said player click the 3 line options bubble
4. Click "Paste from Clipboard"

Reminder: I have nothing to do with the ratings of these players, they are inflated MyTeam ratings so don't shoot the messenger lol.

Attached is a text note with all of the configurations, not any model files or mods etc.
Some of these might even be on retro roasters but it doesn't hurt to have them listed.

I will try to keep up as the year goes on and 2k adds new players each "Season" to MyTeam.
Season 1 includes:
Theo Ratliff, Adonal Foyle, Billy Owens, Michael Cage, Blue Edwards, Dana Barros, Pervis Ellison, Corliss Williamson, Steve Stipanovich, Charles Smith, Jamal Crawford, Marcus Fizer, LaSalle Thomspon, Brevin Knight, Harvey Grant, Fred Jones, Cedric Ceballos, Cedric Maxwell, Joe Barry Carroll, Reggie Lewis, Rory Sparrow, Jay Humphries, Mark West, Randy Bruer, Desmond Mason, Allen Leavell, Cazzie Russell, Dino Radja, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Jeremy Lin, Brandon Jennings, Dr. Disrespect (threw him in there just because I happened to see him while scrolling, Shane Larkin, Josh McRoberts, Derrick Williams, David Stockton, Nick Johnson, Mike Dunleavy, Kris Humphries, Jordan Hill, Geraldn Henderson, Charlie Villanueva, ANdrew Bynum, Derrick McKey, Clint Richardson, Arron Afflalo, Ty Lawson, Dion Waiters, Devin Harris, Tyler Hansbrough, and Mamadou N'diye.

VOLUME 1 DOWNLOAD: Season 1 MyTEAM Player Configurations (for 2K Tools)

PSA: With limited testing it appears that configs from 2k22 DO work, some things will be replaced in the signature ad badges categories but I haven't seen any crashing in the edit player screen or anything

Are the players fully equipped with stats and tendencies, or are they just cyberfaces?

Can we try to import player from 2k22? I mean for sure signature shots won't work but other values should be okay.......

Wow, to my surprise you can actually import 2k22 configs and whatever was changed from game to game just gets replaced. For instance, i just tested it out by bringing over my 2k22 Brandon Roy from a roster i had and imported the full config and no crashing in the edit player menu. For instance, whatever jumpshot i used in 22 was just replaced with whatever 2k replaced the numbered bases and releases with and filled in the blanks for new stuff like motion style etc. with default selections. This is a game changer.

Complete info. Ratings and badges are usually inflated so you'll have to adjust to your liking, but this transfers everything over easily.

Crazy to know that this ports! I remember transferring a Nick Young config from 2K20 to 2K22, and a bunch of things needed adding. Nice to know this is a simple process

I followed your instructions, but it's giving me a Parsing Error. Make sure that the copied data is in the correct format. Any advice?

This usually just means you have an extra letter or missing one at the beginning or end. make sure for whichever player you are copying, to only select the brackets and everything in-between and not the name and dash that i listed before.

thanks for this !

I have a question, if someone can help me.

During previous games, when I put the old legends of all-time teams (Kobe, KG, Duncan, Jordan etc..) in the roster and I used this roster for a MyLeague, their stats were counted in the tab "NBA records" for career points, rebounds, steals etc. and they evolved as the season progressed, but this year this is not the case. Their stats increase fine in their own "player stats" tab but not in the all-time leaderboards.

Moreover, in previous years, there were NBA All-time records, over one season, in the playoffs, on average pts/per game, rebounds etc... but this year I have the impression that there are only all-time records.

thanks in advance if anyone has any tips or information.

Do you know where to find the config files for the NBA 2K22 default players?

yea configs can be found for any player on a roster. just click the edit player option on a player in 2ktools and click the option bubble in the bottom right corner.

Finally, someone has noticed the data of MT players as much as I did, and I have been making "MyTeam Integrated Team List" every year since 2k20, I hope it will help you

Wait, you can copy and paste player info in MyTeam with the roster editor? How?
