texture could be improved... maybe will do that later.
Flyout is always secondary color. uses team color dots in top left/top right of included logos.
You can change the team color by editing those logo dots.

the text is from me. the numbers is from the hades2k english.iff. anyways, it all documented in the 7z file.

few small notes:
away team color has a small blemish on light colors. was in the original. see here: https://i.imgur.com/O5Pm2LP.jpeg Dark colors seem to be unaffected.

also... the logos included with the scoreboard control the team color. if used with other logos (ncaa mod/ euro mod/ etc)... team color will be transparent.
The logos are 512x512. They control the scoreboard logo and the scoreboard team color.
The top left pixel has a small color box. That box controls the Away Team Color in the scoreboard.
The top right pixel has a small color box. That box controls the Home Team Color in the scoreboard.
if you want to change the scoreboard team colors... just change the small pixel box color.... they are located in the logo texture in the top corners.
Top Left is Away Team Color.
Top Right is Home Team Color.

2k14 Notes and Scoreboard Tutorial v8

Hex Bookmarks are for Hex Editor Neo Paid or 14 day trial. Not sure if they work with other hex editors.

I actually looked into 2k11 scoreboards a few years ago. There were never any made because the mesh couldn't be imported into blender.
So, unless somebody like trevor or looyh updated the 2k11 blender plugin to import the scoreboard mesh, it would be very difficult.

Then we'd have to hex compare the 2k10 scoreboard and try to find the offset to move stuff... and hope that 2k11 is similar to 2k10.

I have no idea how exrxixxx found all the hex values to quickly. He must be a genius with patterns and numbers, or he had a much more efficient way using a dissassembler and stuffs. Dunno.

takes me forever with hex compare.... just reloading the game takes hours when done over 50 - 100 times. or more

but you know all that. Anyways, i haven't looked into the 2k14 texture/blender stuff. there seems to be no team color... so logo/teamcolor all have to be built into the logo. like the exrxixxx sportnet scoreboard.

Well, learned lots of things.

blender for 2k14 scoreboard is broken. lol... about an hour of futility.

2k14 devs are absolutely insane with the 2k14 scoreboard home/away logo. Luckily exrxixxx is a genius and managed to give one square logo ... and logo with team colors.

logo with team colors.... logo on the left/team color on the right. can't flip it or move logo... madness on the 2k devs... just left/right edge of team color... another few hours of futility.

that about it. most the work is in hex. not sure about the flyouts... i just pick an exrxixxx that i like the flyout position and build logo from that base. gotta figure out moving foul box sometime. oh well.

Actually, did some searching on the internets and Hades2k made a better 2021 scoreboard. better than mine. I don't have facebook, but you can check his out. Not sure if he has notes... but my scoreboard notes are still incomplete.

just moved stuff around. i can change the tricode font, but no idea how hades2k changed the score font. maybe he will stop by and explain. He made the english.iff
my team logos from v2 are no good.... cause stability issues. no idea how to fix logos. inclueded exrixxx cbsv2.2 nba logos in the ESPN v3 zip download.

thanks for your kind words. Is your away team color /logo messed up? Would need a better screenshot of it, maybe to fix it.

Anywyas, i don't know how to do the whole intel/amd thingy that the facebook modders have done. 2k14 seems to be a very unstable game.
Somebody would have to come post here about how to do the whole intel/amd stuff.
I think it has to do with logos, but i don't know.
In version 3 I just included exrixxxx cbs2.2 logos because they seem to be pretty stable for gameplay.

There are still little things that i could search for and add to my tutorial, but my tutorial is in a pretty good spot. People can make a scoreboard if they want. So, I don't think i'll be fiddling with scoreboards much in the future.
2k14 is just too unstable for lots of mods, it seems. I have been enjoying the 2k14 gameplay, and probably will continue to play my association for a couple years. And not association years, but real life years-- as in 2021/2022/2023. Until 2k devs can produce a good gameplay game and ideally seperate 2konline from 2ksim, I am going to take a break from their gambling simulator. I still have hope they they can make a good offline product, but I had hope for madden and we have all seen what that has become from a gameplay perspective. But financially EA does great. link

so, i was like.... it would be cool to have the week day (NBA WEDNSEDAY) automatically show up on the scoreboard like this:



Now, in associtation mode... the opening has the day of the week.... it is found in titlecardoverlay.iff

Anyways, i have a variety of notes that control text pointers.... but none point to the Association day of the week.

So, I spend two days of free time tearing apart titlecardoverlay.iff



the association day of week is THURSDAY..., but i can't get the freaking thing to move, or scale, or anything.... so i can't find the pointer that makes the text point to those words (day of week, in this case). was super frustrated.
the cursed THURSDAY just sits there mocking me.

the title card overlay has a pointer for playoff record... which I had notated in my notes.... but never tried.

Yup.... after cursing the 2k devs for 2days.... they finally did something logical.... the pointer points to the day of the week.... or the playoff record.

after 2 frustrating days of trying to find the day of the week, it was in front of me the whole time. hahahahahahahahaha.

Anwyays, the pointer is hex: 29 5c f1 ad .... for those modders who know how to insert it (replace team tricode, etc)

I can make my scoreboard with automatic day of the week. I might lose the team records.... but hopefully i can put it somerwhere else... place it on a shadow or something... would like to keep the team records.... i'll have to look around. Anyways, funny story I figured i'd share.
