Player Lock

Postby ChicagoBulls6in8 on Sat Oct 30, 2004 9:38 am

Does anyone else play this way and if so do you have any tips? I'm consistently losing by double figures. I have to do most of the scoring because my guys don't make any shots when I call for them. As an example, I'm losing to the Nuggets with the Cavs and I've got 15 pts with Z.Ilgauskas. LeBron has 5 pts, all on freethrows. He's 0/5 from the field.

They shoot by themselves sometimes. Sometimes on the break if you don't hit the dunk/lay-up button those fools will run out of bounds.

Lock

Postby ignatu on Sat Oct 30, 2004 12:55 pm

In 2004 they never shot, and never passed to you.

In 2005 it is improved. The players are still not aggressive enough, but they do pass to you, run the offense and score.

Games do tend to be low scoring.

They passed in 2004. Often times I would wait for the brick, then sprint the other way for the outlet pass (they passed to me, I didn't call for it).

can you use player lock with two players?? me and my friend create ourselves and run a dynasty together. back in 03 and 04 we would simply player lock on our created player but i haven't seen this option yet. any ideas? ps2 by the way

I think you can....

One thing you should note is that your players will run straight out of bounds on the fastbreak if you don't press the layup/dunk or shoot button, it's a glitch kinda.

I don't use playerlock on the norm, but I use it a few times.

Three problems: 1. If you're a center and you're recieving a pass, you can actually jump two feet away from your original location and land out of bounds with the ball. 2. You can be dribbling near the baseline, and you can easily get pushed out of bounds. 3. If you're posting up and you do a spin move near out of bounds, instead of sneaking by the boundary line, you're dribbling on the out of bounds line.
