Randomly got a Steam update for 2k today. Any patch notes out there?

I definitely got one: after this 33.6 MB patch, the game doesn't respond to any buttons. After it loads the main menu I can't navigate to any menu with my gamepad, keyboard, or mouse...

Notes for the latest update. 2K's bulletin doesn't go into much detail, but based on previous updates, the new faces should be all the same ones that were updated on Next Gen.

Fixed today: removed Looyh's Hook files: dinput8.dll and NBA2K_Hook.dll (or you can just rename it), Mods folder doesn't matter so you can leave it. then launch the game, answer the question about linking Steam and EGS accounts (the answer is up to you). then exit the game, put the hook's files back (or rename them), and launch the game. everything is working flawlessly

The game is not computing in game stats after the patch. Anyway to fix this....

^^ Found the fix for this. You have to verify the integrity of the game files. After I ran it, it said there was a file missing, it added it, ran the game, and the stats are back.

Got the game since they just gave it away on Epic games.

Out of the box, it plays horribly. Basically no improvements over the last three or four episodes. Glad I did not invest any money in this.

Did they add a start today? If you do it does it place you in the middle of the playoffs?

No, Start Today hasn't been active this season due to the late start and an inability to implement the updated schedule that was finalised and released after the game came out. Next Gen didn't have Start Today working this year either. With things getting back to normal for the 2022 season, that functionality should be back. The developers did indicate that they'd look into getting it working after release but apparently that fell through. Unfortunate, but there were extenuating circumstances this year, so it's understandable.

PS4 version updated to v1.12 but I can't seem to find patch notes. Anyone else had their updated?

Doesn't look like there are any yet, but presumably there'll be some coming via the official Twitter within the next 24 hours. Update is live on PC as well from the looks of things, whatever it is.
