PC Controller Issue

Postby OxBlood8 on Fri Oct 29, 2004 7:40 pm

Hi, I am using a PS controller and the USB converter box. If I create a custom button setup I get no player movement at all from either the D-Pad or the Analog stick. The buttons work fine but no movement. If I select the SuperJoy Controller (which has a different button setup) this works no worries. Seems to be only when i create a custom button set. This controller has worked no problems in Live 2004 and other games. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this isnt working for a custom setup or will i just have to get used to a new button set?

Isn't there a separate page to set up your analog sticks and D-pad? I mean in the controller setup, there should be at least 2 pages, one for the buttons, one for the sticks. (I think it was like that in 2004).

they've really screwed up the quickplay setup this year. it seems it doesn't matter how you setup your quickplays in the configure controller screen (i.e., d-pad up, d-pad down); all that matters is how you set it up in the playbook options screen and the numbers (1, 2, 3 or 4) doesn't map properly. also, in last year's version, i was able to use the d-pad for movement and use button 9 + 1, 2, 3 or 4 for playcalling. now, i'm forced to use the left analog stick for movement and the dpad for playcalling. it's okay though, i'm getting used to it. what really irks me though is the playcalling - they just didn't map it out properly/completely. anyone else find this problem?

Anyone else having trouble with their controls? I use an Eliminator Aftershock and two buttons, playcalling and off-the-ball, aren't working for me. Specifically, off-the-ball does alley-oop instead (alley-oop button works normally), and the playcall will call a timeout or intentional foul, regardless of which subsequent button you push (1,2,3,4).

EDIT: just noticed the other post. You're telling me that the only solution is to buy a new gamepad? That $#@!s...
