I remember Jerry West hit a 60-footer against the Knicks in the '70 Finals, but there was no 3 at that time. Maybe the older cats could have done it, but none of them had Steph's handles.

It's amazing the impact he's made on the game, at every level.

I wouldn't be too quick to count out older players completely, as many of them had the range and the touch, but there was either no incentive or it wasn't the done thing to fire up long bombs like that. With that being said though, I think Curry has earned the distinction of greatest pure shooter, or words to that effect. Everything about his shot is a thing of beauty, while it's obviously deadly.

Lakers and Nets are interested in Andre Drummond;

Nets would be pretty damn stacked if they can pull that off.

I was really happy that Randle made the all-star team this year but I don't think I've ever been so disinterested in an allstar weekend as much as this year and I know lebrons comments about having no interest in playing were based off of the current global situation but for me this is what the allstar event has become, I can't even just pretend to be interested when discussing it with my mates anymore who still appreciate the events

Indeed. The current situation doesn't help matters, but let's not pretend that All-Star Weekend hasn't had the same shine for some time now.

I give it to curry but Pete Maravich was something else. I never got to see him play when I was alive but reading on him is very fascinating how he would pull from 30 for two pointers. Of all the "ahead of his time" what ifs he is definitely my favorite.

Definitely one of those "ahead of his time" players. Tremendous skill and flair in his game.

The Vucevic trade is absolutely insane. I'm probably going to start a virtual hardwood story with the Bulls when we get a trade deadline update. They could still make a push for the playoffs and I could see them making a run. Interested to see thoughts from bulls fans.

That's a great move for the Bulls. If they don't make the playoffs, there should be an investigation.

Love the move. Two very expendable players for an All-Star centre and a serviceable forward. It's the kind of shrewdness we'd come to never expect with GarPax running the show. Certainly they deserve credit for acquiring Zach LaVine, but they were trading away an All-Star in Jimmy Butler; you better get [i]something[i] of value in return for your best player. I can't imagine them ever turning garbage and a grossly overpaid player into gold like this. It absolutely inspires confidence in the new brass.

They're in a position to make a push and get into the Playoffs, and that's what I want to see them do. Take some steps forward, give your young core a taste of winning and postseason action, and keep improving from there. You can only play the lottery for so long before one rebuilding plan is scrapped in favour of another one, like so many Wile E. Coyote schemes.

And just when I started to doubt Pat Riley...Victor Oladipo to Miami for Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynyk and a draft swap. I thought nothing was going to happen because he thinks Herro is the next coming of MJ

Most exciting deadline in a long time!

Also, crazy coincidence: 23 years ago, the Blazers traded Gary Trent Sr, then 41 games into his third season, to the Raptors. Gary Trent Jr, now 41 games into in his third season, has just been traded by the Blazers to the Raptors. That's a first.

Reports are also saying that they're the frontrunner for LaMarcus Aldridge. Both him and Oladipo are injury prone players these days but that's a heck of an upgrade for Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk. The Heat and the Nuggets are the winners of this year's trade deadline.

That's what Woj is saying at least. I just hope they get him for a year because we still have cap for that 2021 class

Aldridge is Brooklyn-bound. They're loading up that front court.

I hope Mark Daigneault gets an honorary mention in the conversation for coach of the year. Getting this OKC team to 20 wins with a G-League line-up most nights is incredible. Sucks for the tank though :lol:
