For those of you on the fence, but want the PC version for the mods or to get into modding.
50% off.

Not a bad deal. I'd have to agree with Manni's post in the other topic that it's probably the price point it should've been at all along, but in any case, good opportunity for anyone who wants to check it out/complete the collection. I imagine it'll keep going on sale from time to time, to pump up those numbers and all.

My daughter picked up the PS4 version in the Black Friday sale for less than £30, although it was purchased then I made the promise as it was a Christmas present I wouldn't play it until now which I have only just started playing it, I think £30 on current gen is this games true value.
I know people said it's just a port of 2k20 with a roster update but I'd have to disagree there as I hated 2k20 and couldn't play D due to the game not allowing me but in 2k21 I can stay with my man and with some slider tweaks iam really having fun with the game however as I mentioned on Twitter I can't believe that the game hasn't really changed since I played it at the release date and they haven't updated courts for say the Hornets as with Melo Ball they know a lot of people will be using this team but I think there plan is to not update the court making people want to switch to next gen is petty on there behalf as people have still paid full price for this title the very least they can do is update it.

It probably wouldn't be quite as controversial if it were half price from Day 1. As I said on the podcast when the Next Gen price was revealed, it stung because they tried to justify the price increase based on new and better tech, but weren't about to lower the price for the Current Gen version despite being old tech and the less important release. It never works both ways though, does it?
In any case, glad to hear you've been enjoying the game. I've felt the patches have improved it somewhat, though it does feel dated compared to the Next Gen version. At the same time, the Next Gen version doesn't feel as "built from the ground up" as that tagline would suggest, so if you're on a Current Gen console or PC, I don't think you're missing out on a radically better game. There's still a lot of familiarity and legacy issues, let's put it that way.

Yeah this is the first time I've not gone out and paid for next gen but apart bills to pay I really hadn't enjoyed the product 2k had put out but yeah... iam actually enjoying playing this one although I would like to see the courts and jerseys added.
I can live with slow likeness updates like seeing Curry without braids doesn't bother me because it's still Curry and like yourself Andrew we grew up with two pixels as eyes so I think I can let so things slide lol.

Indeed! The lack of shoelace physics is, of course, unacceptable.

shoelaces... dammit... so far I haven't dribbled the ball out of bounds off of my laces but if I do... pre order cancelled

MAYBE if they drop it another 50%.

hahahaha the more I play it honestly the more it feels like 2k20 so if you have that on pc I don't see a reason to spend the money because the mods the pc users have pretty much have the game better than 2k21 on the PS4 or Xbox

even the summer fire sale price of $5 is too high

I had read that it wasn't any different than 2k20 and what they did change was not worth full price by any stretch if the imagination. PC wasn't even upgraded to next gen. Psh.
Did they ever update player ratings and rosters? I know on release they were still using the ratings from 2k20 which doesn't cut it if one plays mycareer.
Thu Jan 07, 2021 12:15 am
I haven't touched mycareer in years mate, the storyline just doesn't interest me what do ever and to be honest the same result happens at the end of the day which is average a triple double each year and win a ring too.
I mainly still to myleague as long as I can tolerate the BS that the CPU AI on both my team and the computer flicking the "God mode" switch on and it's like your playing against 5 Jordans.
One thing I forgot I hated about 2k offline games is that after pretty much every weekly update or patch the sliders are way out and you have to retune them to your playing styles.
Yesterday I ended up quitting a franchise game against the Bucks when they shot 89% for the half to my 27%
