2K20-2K21 Files Compatibility [Laboratory]

I'm seeing a lot of problems with the clothes. Let's see if we can all help each other.

Yeah it seems chest, pec, and upper back needs tweaking but they generally work after that

but modified how? what should be used and how? there is no guide?

Shoes work. I tested some of mine from 2k20 without problems.

hey bk i tried your first sneaker on your list the muticolor and it didnt show up. it said it replace the lebron 16 pe but when i click on it it wasnt the new shoe

Using the NBA2K21 Hook tool, you have to add a folder named shoes inside the Mods folder, and paste the files there.

Shoes work. I tested some of mine from 2k20 without problems.

yea i got the shoe folder there. all of the other mods but i cant get the sneaker to work. what did you do differently?

First row shows the folders inside the NBA 2K21. Second one shows folder inside Mods. Third one shows files inside shoes (I don't have anything else installed atm). I uploaded this picture to be sure you have things the same way. But it's working fine on my game.

yea i did exactly that. is not all the shoes u did work cuz i notice i cant switch players sneaker brand neither

I haven't played really, I know the shooting is awful. Can't help you.

do you think there will be a solution for the broken uniforms (due to the cyberface imported from 2k20) or will I have to keep it that way?

Copying a players DNA used to be the trick but I heard maybe the DNA function is borked right now? Not sure if that's true as I havent tried.

I didn't come up with this but I will repeat it as it helped me fix some cyberfaces like terence davis. In the pngXXXX.iff is an appearance.rdat file. open that with notepad++. In there you will see chest thin and chest thick. Raise or lower those numbers till the jersey doesn't clip anymore. Also trap thin and trap thick are for the shoulder straps.

I’m converting all new 2K21 facescans for 2K20. The process is a little bit hard because I have to do shrinkwrap and to clonate the 3D headshape with some tweaks. I will release a full package with all of them.

I downloaded 2k21 but haven't played with conversions yet... Is the issue solved when editing or removing the data in the appearance file that's associated with clothes and accessories? Or does the actual player model need slight edits in blender? Would shrinkwrapping be an effective option?

Just wondering where to start.

Either way, seems like it might be much easier than previous years.
