as bluejay said, model work and model improvements are key, as long as we can tell that's JJ it means it needs work. The eyes especially are what's giving it away. If you can manage to adjust just that one detail it would already be much better! Good luck!

Looking much better! As for smiling, i would suggest adjusting the model in blender sculpting mode to bring the corners of his mouth down, the texture will stay where it's supposed to be and it won't look like he's smiling anymore.
