According to this feature on the official Magic website, the black pinstripe jersey was the road jersey from 1989-1994, then became the alternate from 1994-1998, while the blue pinstripe became the primary away uniform from 1994-1998. Clears it up for me as well, I had vague memories of it being the other way around, but that wasn't the case.

yes, both were in use that season. also purple hornets alternate jersey was in use in 95/96 too.

blue magic jersey became official road (away) jersey that season, replacing black one which became alternate road (away).

no, it's not correct , they still used it in 96/97:




regarding heat alternate, they used it from 95/96 season.

That was a mistake on my part, sorry about that. The source I was looking at even mentioned 1997, for some reason I typed 1994-1996.

Orlando Magic should have that blue pinstripes jersey as their away jersey for the 1995 roster, 1996 roster, 1997 roster and 1998 roster.
