I recently started tweaking some retro rosters. I just got 1996 done. I revamped play types and shot location tendencies to be more accurate. Not sure if we will release rosters one-by-one or wait until we get a batch done then release.

Imo we should release decades rosters. People should try your new ideas. After few games with 1996 I feel some difference and big man domination is here. I feel that New release will be exciting for many retro fans. After all these years you are keep finding new tweaks.

Either way, I'm grateful that you guys find ways to keep this game fresh & new each year! Retro for life!

Hey, guys! Just wanted to give you some info on a retro update I've been working on for a few days. Sko wanted me to make a Youtube video showing what I'm doing but I'm too lazy. Here's the breakdown.

1. I calculated the average shot location percentages for each position from 2001 to 2019. (These are the years that basketball-reference.com has those stats.)

2. I made a spreadsheet that calculates what those percentages were in 1990-2000 rosters. I haven't done pre-1990 rosters yet.

3. I have went through all players and edited their shot location tendencies to ensure that this data is more accurate.

4. I will edit shot location ratings and play types next.

This will lead to pretty major improvements in gameplay. Big men will shoot more mid range shots (and be better at them), guards will drive less and pull up/kick out more, and there will be more noticeable differences when using rosters from different eras.

I don't have the post to quote but I'm nearly certain I saw Andrew encouraging someone to post their mods on NLSC and to create a Patreon account the other day instead of using hosting sites like Adfly due to broken links, dead links, links that display adult content, etc. I'm pretty sure I remember him saying that as long as you don't mandate a minimum donation before being able to download that it is within the rules of NLSC.

I would have no problem if you released it here and on Patreon in the same time.
We all can see what you're doing, which desserve a big ... specially when part of your mods use the works of others (and not mine i hope or you dont read credits).
