I caught up last night reading this, and man, my boy Steven Adams has quietly been killing it for you! Westbrook & PG have deserved a lot of credit, but Adams is a beast this year if those guys aren't scoring effectively. I know you were looking at getting AD, but so far, this is a very effective big three.

Good to hear you got your rig back up and running, even if it was out of commission for three weeks! Strong return, too.

That's great that your PC is good to go! I have been silently following for a while and am really enjoying the recaps. You guys could definitely make a push for the one seed, which would be HUGE when it comes to possibly facing Golden State in the playoffs.

The refs didn't call a flagrant foul on that play, but at least PG made the basket and the free throw (Y)

I was actually supposed to play the Pacers game, but I switched the sim game around so I could play against the Warriors. We are battling for the top seed after all.

We did pretty well to stay with them until the end. But it's almost impossible to stop their 5 all-star line-up in the fourth quarter.

Warriors game was probably more fun to play, given the rivalry. Big games from Curry, Durant, and Thompson though, shame they edged you at the end.

It's just so hard to beat them when they always have at least one or two of Durant, Curry, Thompson and Cousins on the court. They always go on a scoring run when I'm resting Westbrook and George.

Maybe I'll get lucky and won't have to face them in the playoffs.

We were down by 17 late in the second quarter, but we fought back to take the lead midway through the third. Sadly, my players were too fatigued from that effort and couldn't stop the Raptors in the fourth.

Three losses in a row and suddenly the Warriors are 4 games ahead in first place and the Rockets are only half a game behind us in third.

Yeah, we kind of blew our chance. I think we did really well to keep pace with that stacked Warriors team all season though.

We could actually end up winning 62+ games and finishing with the third seed. We play the Rockets in our penultimate game and they are also on 60+ wins. They could overtake us if they win. It's crazy.

Out east the Celtics could also reach 60 wins. A quick google says that only once in NBA history have four teams won 60 or more games (1998 - Bulls, Jazz, Sonics, Lakers).

Re: OKC: Part III [62-16] - Westbrook puts in superstar performance against Mavs

Tue Jun 18, 2019 8:03 pm

Close race, but hopefully you can get the job done in the postseason. Perhaps a rash of injuries will soften up the Warriors; as we saw in real life, it wouldn't be unrealistic!

I had multiple teams win 70+ games in MyCAREER. A lot of players are also shooting 95%+ from the free throw line. The sim engine still needs some tweaking, I think.

Jerami Grant got injured in training before this game. Bruised right hip will see him miss 1-2 weeks. Not ideal just before the playoffs.

Westbrook basically missed the entire first half because I stupidly got him 3 fouls in the opening two minutes. He only had 1 rebound and 1 assist in the first half, but finished with 19/7/17
