I should probably follow up since I made this thread. For me, the issue was due to my wireless Corsair keyboard. It was crashing steam and causing issues with all other USB devices (including the controller). I simply unplugged it after launching 2k, let it load, then plugged it back in. Problem solved.

I was able to "fix" this issue be going into my "device manager" and updated all drivers that had the yellow caution icon. For me, those two drivers were under "other devices", and were 2 PCI devices.
UPDATE: Still crashed.
