Basketball is here again. Draft time set at Sunday October 14 at 2pm Pacific time. It seems like a good time (same as last year) where it's early for Philippines, late for Eastern Europe, and midday for NA. Nothing crazy like 2 or 3 am for anybody.

You want me to wake up at 5 AM just to draft?
This how you treat the reigning champion?
I'm fine with the schedule.

That's a perfect time for me

Let's hope this year my second pick doesn't have a season-ending injury in the first 6 minutes of the opening night.

Good good... Are all the participating managers active though? IIRC a couple of those abandoned their teams last year...
Fri Sep 14, 2018 11:18 pm
There was only 1 or 2 that was really inactive as I mentioned in the league thread, rest I saw having changed starting lineups from time to time (when I was checking whom to trade with) or quickly rejected my trade requests.
It can't be avoided that teams eventually get abandoned when the managers see they have no chance of making the playoffs, it happens in most leagues especially with a high number of participants like ours.
I think last season was even more active than the season you won it, should put an asterisk on your championship tbh.

Been thinking about doing waivers with a bidding system to mix things up. What do you guys think?
There's also auction draft, but I think that wouldn't be fair to those who don't show up to the draft, so we'll stick with the standard draft.
Also debating whether to cut pick time to a minute. Shadow asked for it to be cut last year and I didn't do it but then he wound up being the one taking up all the time

I think we've done waiver bids before or was it another league I was in, it sucked in my experience but I'm all for it seeing as how it could be easy to crash and ruin our current waiver system but I didn't do it because it would have been too much of a dick move.
I told y'all, so I punished you with the long draft picks and really made you all pay by winning the league as a reminder of the folly of your ways.

If anything, asterisks should be put on your replies... What's the purpose of the gaps on your stanzas man? Are you expecting us to write an essay or draw some shit on it?

Not familiar with the bidding system so I can't say anything about it though since an elderman says it sucked then perhaps just leave everything as it is. Is there an admin option that autopickers will just pick whoever is the next player on the board (or if they set they're preferred picks for autodraft) without consuming all of the pick time? Or better, is there any option that you can choose if you can swap those players that the autodrafter picked in the round if they're picking ahead of you? I'm on board for a shorter picktime.

write an essay or draw some shit on it?
Whatever floats your boat.

Pretty sure this was brought up last year. Autopicks already automatically happen after ten seconds, so again, those people shouldn't be the ones you are worried about

ooh a fa budget/bidding would be a nice change.

Unlikely that I'll be able to make draft at that time but that's okay with me. I do terrible when I draft anyways, auto-generated picks can't be much worse.
Mon Oct 08, 2018 10:00 pm
The previous draft schedule was spot on, should've left it how it was... Anyway if it'll be adjusted 3 or 4 hours later to the set time it'll be fine with it
Tue Oct 09, 2018 12:35 am
It's the same day of the week and time as last year, so not sure what you're referring to
Tue Oct 09, 2018 1:48 am
Nevermind I thought you change the draft schedule. It's just my yahoo settings went to default and it resets the timezone... Everything's sorted now
Sun Oct 14, 2018 1:05 am
So no FAB?
Sun Oct 14, 2018 3:01 am
It's a go. I just changed it. Will be fun to try something new
Mon Oct 15, 2018 1:18 am

Airberlin you willing to trade Kuz? I'm trying to collect all Lakers lol
Wed Oct 17, 2018 1:32 am
Not for Marvin Williams, lol.
PS: You have Ingram and McGee; you've got a long way to go. I have Hart and Kuzma... Maybe I should collect all Lakers. ;]
Wed Oct 17, 2018 2:51 am
I also have Randle, who should still be a Laker. How about Marvin Williams AND Etuwan Moore
Wed Oct 17, 2018 5:00 am
Tyreke Evans, Avery Bradley, Austin Rivers, Jabari Parker, TJ Warren, Marcin Gortat, and Willie Hernangomez available for trade.
Wed Oct 17, 2018 11:40 pm
