Forcing player portaits

I've used the Limnono modifier to force player portraits and they show up on my roster fine. The problem is whenever I load up the game from scratch they revert back to their old ones. What step am I missing? Or do I have to use Limnono to force them every time I want to play?

If you open up the .ini file in your NBA 2K18 folder, you should find a string Qiangzhizhaopian=0. Change it to Qiangzhizhaopian=1.
